For Schizoaffective Disorder "I’ve been on the maximum dose of Geodon for several months. It helped stabilize my mood—particularly with irritability, anger, and some depression—but unfortunately, it didn’t stop the auditory hallucinations. I’ve continued to hear voices despite being consistent with the medication. I also experienced akathisia, which was pretty uncomfortable. I recently talked to my psychiatrist about all this, and we’ve decided to switch to Fanapt. I’m currently waiting for the prior authorization to go through and feeling hopeful about trying a newer option."

For Bipolar Disorder "I absolutely hate this medication. I either feel numb or like it has dulled my personality. I feel anxious and restless on it. It really does nothing to help my mood swings."

For Bipolar Disorder "Geodon has helped with the low mood swings. It does make me restless. I take it only in the morning. Lamictal has been my saving grace. It's been months since I've slipped into depression."
