For Crohn's Disease "I have Crohn's Disease and tried three different medications and broke out with Psoriasis from head to toe. Lost my hair and the ability to walk faster than a snail because my feet swelled up. Since Stelara, I have lost over 60 lbs, Psoriasis completely cleared, hair growing back. I exercise at least 3-4 times a week and feel wonderful. I think Stelara helped my digestive system and now everything is working. Biggest problem with Stelara is, now I have to get a new wardrobe."

For Crohn's Disease "Stelara fixed my stomach pretty much straight away. I was going to the loo for up to 20 times a day for nearly four years! At first, everything was great. I’ve been on it for a year now, and the side effects are awful. I have horrific fatigue, headaches, brain fog, hair thinning, pale skin, and aged terribly (I’m only 32). I haven’t stopped taking the medication yet, but it’s made me feel so fragile. Just wish I could feel normal!"

For Psoriasis "I have Crohn's disease and was put on Remicade to treat it, and then I developed medication-induced psoriasis. It's so bad and painful, I can't walk some days, and I have a hard time opening things like doors. All of my hair fell out, and being a 24-year-old girl, I was devastated. I was put on Stelara at an abnormally high dose of 90 mg once a month. For a few months now, I'm at 6 weeks, the goal is to get me to 8 weeks. Stelara has made an improvement, my hair has started to grow back in, and right after the shot, I can walk and my hands start to heal. But within a couple of weeks, I backslide again. But Stelara has really helped me not lose my mind completely. If I were a normal psoriasis person, maybe it would be better."

For Psoriasis "I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease 10 yrs ago (took Asacol for 6 months, nothing after that). Two years ago it became so bad my doctor put me on Humira. It was a miracle drug, I had never felt so good. After about a month, I developed psoriasis (never had any skin issues ever). My feet and hands have been the worst. Walking and using my hands is extremely painful. Then it got to my scalp, and my hair was falling out in clumps. I have lost easily 70% of my hair, this has been devastating. I was taken off of Humira (it's been 4 months now). My Crohn's has not come back, and the psoriasis is still in full swing. Now I am having horrible back pains and back spasms issues (not sure if it's related, however, my guess is it is). Currently waiting to start on Stelara, and yes, I am scared to death at what the side effects might be for me. Anyone else have similar issues?"

For Psoriasis "I am having a similar experience as user DMS. I have ulcerative colitis and went on Humira only to develop severe scalp psoriasis a few months later and have been experiencing significant hair loss. I am off of Humira now and waiting to start Stelara but am very nervous about potential side effects. Has anyone else experienced this issue?"
