Umeclidinium / vilanterol for COPD "I've now been on Anoro for a full three months, and I can truly say that it has changed my life. The first month was rocky-its effectiveness in alleviating my shortness of breath was variable, I had body aches for the first few days and generally felt unwell. I ended up in the local ER at the end of the first month with diffuse chest pain and shortness of breath, which was easily alleviated with steroids. It was not until weeks 6-7 that I began to experience consistent, reliable, comfortable breathing. As I start my fourth month, I'm walking two miles a day and feel very well indeed! I'm beginning to feel and act like I'm alive again. If you are prescribed this drug, be prepared to possibly feel unwell for a bit (my pulmonologist told me it would be a process, and I think that's the best way to describe it), but if you hang in there, I hope the payoff will be as huge as mine has been!"
