"Life-changing. Down 30 pounds in 5 months. Within a few hours of the first dose, I experienced hunger suppression, increased satiety, and best of all, reduced food noise. I thought about food 24/7 before taking this medication. Despite tracking calories and eating whole foods and eliminating most sugar, I always craved sweet and high-fat foods like ice cream and felt hungry even after a meal. On this medication, I crave veggies and fruit and protein. Side effects: as a woman going through menopause, the hot flashes have been miserable. "Started using Zepbound in March 2024, at 2.5 mg. History of Obesity (BMI > 29) and Hypertension. Starting weight was 202 lb. and Blood Pressure Avg. of 153/90. As of today, May 24, 2024, currently on 10mg. My weight is currently 177 lb, having lost 25 lbs (12%) of starting weight. It was easy to learn how to use the injection pen, and it is a painless process. I am also exercising, running 4-5 days per week and weight training 2 days per week. Exercise is an important adjunct to weight loss treatment, and can help maintain muscle mass while losing weight. It is also imperative to eat foods rich in protein and green, leafy vegetables. Side effects have been minimal, with occasional constipation, which is remedied by using Miralax or similar products."

"Zepbound (tirzepatide) is amazing - if you are not losing much on semaglutide, see if your doctor will let you try tirzepatide. I’ve been on Zepbound seven months and I’m down 55 pounds. Took 2.5mg the first month and then spent 5 months on 5mg. Just moved up to 7.5mg this month and it has totally killed my appetite. Main side effect for me is fatigue, especially the day of the shot and the next couple of days. I plan to stay on 7.5 until I reach my goal weight and then go on maintenance. I will have to keep taking it - otherwise it is likely I will gain all the weight back. Yes, it is expensive but worth it."

"I have been taking Zepbound for about 3 months now and have lost 18 lbs. The experience has been mostly unpleasant. The gastric issues that accompany the medication are almost unbearable. The desire to eat did not go away, and I mostly did not eat because I was always so nauseated and experiencing acid reflux. Every day has been miserable. It did make you feel good but not in a satisfied way, just full like you ate way too much to the point of feeling sick. It feels great to have lost 18 lbs, but I will probably not continue the shots due to the gastric issues."

"Started this in October of 24, went to 5.0 mg. In November, 7.5 for two weeks in December, then dropped back to 5.0 because of a few side effects, but mostly because I lost 25 lbs. in 2.5 months. That put me about where I want to be. I've stayed steady on my weight for 3 weeks now, taking 5.0 mg. every 10 days. It's great, I've had to buy new pants that fit and feel much better. Side effects weren't too bad, but you'll definitely know it if you eat too much, and over time (a couple of months) your body will slowly get used to it. I don't crave foods as I used to and only eat what I need, which is smaller amounts. I wasn't too overweight, but at 57 I suffered from high blood pressure, and age kept my weight slowly creeping up and harder and harder to keep under control. This works great!!!"

"After my second 2.5 shot, the side effect symptoms are too much for me to handle. I’ve barely kept any food down except for a day and a half before my second shot. I can’t find a way to prevent acute nausea, and the vomiting is now making me weak. I knew there would be side effects, but for me, this medication doesn’t work for my body. I chose to discontinue the medication and will work with my doctor to see what other options may work for me. I have been unable to participate in family and home life, feeling trapped between being so sick I can’t leave my bed and spending a lot of time vomiting or feeling like I will if I try to move or drink water. I hoped this would be the tool to help me on a healthier path, and it’s not the right one for me, but I can see how it would possibly help others if they aren’t affected by side effects."

"I've been on Zepbound for 3 months. I have lost a total of 56.4 lbs. I have learned from friends I work with and other people's testimonies that use Zepbound that most people that don't lose weight don't want to try to change their eating habits, like giving up sugar. Even my doctor that's on it has struggles with this, lol. Zepbound is an awesome friend, a tool that helps with the fight, but you also have to be willing to make lifestyle changes too, and if you do, you'll see bigger results. "I have been so sick on Zepbound. Nonstop diarrhea weeks 2 and 3. Ended up in urgent care for IV hydration and labs. Doc took me off it after a severe reaction. It's been 2 weeks off it and I'm still suffering from diarrhea. Very weak and light-headed. Weight loss was fast. I started healthy and am now sick every day. Weight loss is not worth my overall health."

"I am on the lowest dose and have been on it for several months and have lost 24 lbs. I started off slowly walking 0.5 mile a day for the first week until I was able to do 3 miles a day. I had a friend walk with me, which was a good support. The last month, I have gained 3 lbs. back because of the weather, but I am back on my grind again. So far, no real side effects. When I first started, I felt a little queasy the first 24 hours."

"I had my first injection 4 days ago. I weighed in at 215. I have already seen a significant change in my desire to eat. I don't even consider eating until late afternoon now, while before, all I could think about was food and snacks. I work at a desk 8 hrs a day and have little opportunity to move. "5’1”, 180 lbs, 63 yrs. old female, BMI 34%. History of cardiac disease and hypothyroidism. I’ve been taking the 2.5 mg dose for six months with virtually no worrisome side effects. "I started Zepbound in March of this year, along with regular exercise and a more balanced diet. Since then, I have lost 65 lbs. For the first time in over 20 years, I am under 200 lbs. I feel great. I barely use my inhaler, my knees rarely hurt, and I can jog! My labs are all within normal limits, and I feel so much better about myself. I have very little side effects from ZB: nausea the day after I take it, intolerance to most alcoholic beverages, and I get hot after every meal. "Since starting Zepbound 13 weeks ago to shed 60 pounds, I've gradually increased from 2.5 mg to 10 mg. It's effective, but sleepless nights have become my unwelcome companions, especially on the higher doses. Heartburn and that uncomfortable chest sensation are no picnic either. "I started on Zepbound on May 24. To date, I lost 36 pounds. I have 10 more to go, but I am going to have to stop taking it. Right from the first shot I took, I had right eye pain on and off. Now with the higher doses of 10, 12.5, and 15 mg, it is happening more, and I also break out in a rash/hives at the injection site, starting with dose 10 mg. I tried Benadryl 30 minutes before the shot and icing that site for 10 minutes after the injection, but that does not help. That area will itch for 3 days and leave a red mark on my skin. I used to be on Wegovy and never had that issue, but did have more stomach/diarrhea with Wegovy. Zepbound is the better one, but unfortunately, I can't take it."

"Question: Why wouldn’t you use this to get a head start on a new life? I started on Monjaro for weight loss and had to switch to Zepbound after three months (insurance). I always dieted and would stall after 20 pounds. My ultimate goal was to lose enough weight to safely run again. After a year, I had lost 80 lbs and was able to start running. I just finished a half marathon, one year after starting this journey. The side effects of it are what is advertised; some nausea, it can hit you but goes away quickly, the heartburn was less with Zepbound than Monjaro, and the decrease in using the bathroom is a godsend for anyone experiencing IBS. The injection is not bad with the auto pen. Take the leap and change your life!"

"16 weeks now on Zepbound. I am down 27 lbs. 5’5’ 170 lbs now 143 lbs. Had high cholesterol. This is a great product but you have to be ready to eat healthy too. Protein shake in the am. Protein bar in the afternoon. Try Fuffil bars. Walmart sells them, they are amazing. Salads, salmon, pork, chicken, veggies for dinner. Try Sobol, they have a great green smoothie and healthy fruit options. Kodiak products are good too. No side effects, but I chose to stay at 5 mg. No need to go up. I have so much energy now, work out 6 days a week. It’s a new me, and I’m loving it."

"I’ve been on Zepbound for almost 4 months and down 34 lbs. The only side effect I’ve experienced is the rash/itching at the injection site. I’m thankful that I’ve had no other side effects, and although it’s annoying, I’m still excited that I’m continuing to lose. It definitely curbs my appetite, and logging what I eat in an app is also very helpful! "I started Zepbound at 2.5. My weight was 249 and I'm 5'2''. I've lost 34 lbs starting in July. I went up to 7.5 and was doing great. Then the third dose, all the side effects started in spades. I started vomiting, no appetite, tired all the time. I drink water all the time (and I'm a reformed soda drinker). I'm suddenly itchy all the time. The weight loss has slowed down. "56 yr female, 257 lbs (20 years post gastric bypass). Started Zepbound 11/3 2.5 mg. Lost 12 lbs in the first 4 weeks. Minimal side effects until week 3-4. Felt dizzy, headaches, lethargic though likely due to not enough calories. 1st 5 mg dose yesterday and feel great so far. Absolutely no food noise or cravings since the 1st shot. No issues at all with the injection site or pain. Will stay at 5 mg as long as I can before increasing. This medication has been a life changer for me. I was hesitant due to reported side effects as I researched for over a year before I decided to move forward. My insurance denied, I appealed and got the decision overturned. Meds currently covered at 100%, thankfully. I am exercising though I have always walked. I am not a big eater to start with, the difference is I no longer crave foods. "I started Zepbound 3 weeks ago, and I have to say I feel remarkably well and really am enjoying how it has decreased my appetite and kept me on track with my high-protein and low-carb diet. "I have lost over 35 lbs in 5 months. I started at the 2.5 and have worked up to the 10. Zepbound is incredibly effective at assisting with the weight loss. Greasy fatty foods definitely upset my stomach now. The first day post-shot, I am super tired and have a very mildly upset stomach, after that, it’s fine. I am freezing all the time, so for sure take a jacket wherever you go! I am not starving and do not have cravings at all. Staying hydrated seems to help with curbing the initial side effects. Initially, I found myself hardly eating just because I wasn’t hungry. I had to make a concerted effort to make myself sit down and eat. Protein and veggies made me feel a ton better and didn’t result in any digestive discomfort. It really was a trial and error. Alcohol is not your friend, even 1 or 2 drinks makes me feel awful. I ended up naturally having a cleaner diet and drinking a lot more water just to minimize the digestive side effects."
