"I’m a 6’4", 275-pound male, 62 years old - no diabetes or health issues, on no other meds. Obtained prescription via Dr. and took the first 2.5 mg injection on Dec. 24. Lost 10 pounds with the first 3 shots, then Dr. said I could go to 5 mg (saved the last 2.5 mg pen for future use) because weight loss had stopped. After starting 5 mg, lost 2 pounds in 2 days - so combined weight loss using 2.5/5 mg is now at 12 pounds in six weeks! No significant or terrible side effects except some constipation, intermittent fatigue, and minor chills at times (not a lot - could just be the cold weather). I've yo-yoed up and down with weight for years. Because of my size, I can eat a lot of food - but this drug has significantly reduced my appetite, and I have more energy overall. I can’t wait to see the results in a few more months. Zepbound has so far been perfect for me. I don’t mind the $550 price (with the Lilly savings card - has been hard to get CVS to make it work, but that’s another story/nightmare)."

"Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

"Started at the end of Jan 24. 4 weeks at 2.5mg, 8 weeks at 5mg due to lack of supply. I've had to seek alternatives due to the shortage of this drug, but it is worth it. I've lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks and moved up to 7.5mg on my last dose. The food noise is gone. The alcohol noise is gone. Other than some nausea and fatigue on shot day, side effects have been mild and easily manageable. I wish I'd have been able to start this long ago and gotten my life back. 30 pounds to go and I have no doubt I will be successful."

"I’ve used Zepbound for almost 5 months & have lost 15 lbs. I experienced diarrhea at the beginning but much less now. What I didn’t expect was that my bladder issues like leaking, etc. would stop. It has been amazing! I went from needing valve & bladder surgeries to complete stoppage. I hope this info will help other women with their urology issues. Even if I never lost another pound, if another Zepbound side effect helps my bladder, I’m in!!"

"I have struggled with weight loss for the past 10 years. Healthy diet, regular exercise used to work for me but stopped working, and my weight steadily increased. I became afraid of food and barely ate 1,200 calories a day. Still, the weight wouldn’t budge. Doctors told me it was because I wasn’t 35 anymore or I was insulin resistant. I was diagnosed with fatty liver, and my frustration was at its peak. I am now 60, and at my peak, I was 216 lbs at 5'10" and pre-diabetic. I didn’t feel good and didn’t like how I looked. I was able to get Zepbound approved with my insurance, and it has been a lifesaver! I am now 160 and feel better than I’ve felt in years! "I started in January and have moved doses up monthly. This morning I took my 4th 7.5 mg dose. I did have a 2.5 mg pen malfunction and moved up to 5 a week early. I've been losing 1-3 pounds a week, for a total today of 28 lb loss. My goal is to lose 50. As far as side effects, they really aren't too bad for me. Daily Colace helps any constipation, which has not been much of an issue anyway. Occasional nausea is fleeting and is helped with Coke One. I know some are against drinking soda, but Coke One does not have sugar and has been my nausea cure for as long as it's been on the market. My appetite is diminished, but not gone. I've changed my eating pattern to several small, healthy mini-meals during the day instead of 3 'regular' meals. Zero cravings for junk food or much snacking at all. Part, I'm sure, is that I'm keeping those mini meals full of protein and vegetables. The only real issue that I've had is fatigue. It hits about an hour after the shot and lasts about 36 h."

"I just started taking Zepbound for less than a week now. I am 5 days in. I have not had any major side effects. I have felt very little nausea at times. I had a very mild tummy ache a couple of times. I felt a little dizzy the first day and then nothing after that. I felt very fatigued the third day but have been good since. I have lost 4 lbs so far. I am 5' 2" and weighed 161. I am down to 157 as of today (5th day). My goal is 130 at least. I don't feel hungry. I don't think about snacking. I forget to eat most of the time because I am not hungry. I have to remind myself to eat something. I eat very small portions and feel satisfied. I am loving this! I do recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight."

"I started 3 months ago with the 2 ml, then 5, and now 7.5. I have been nauseous every single day for those 3 months. I have been constipated almost every week. I finally am able to go. I noticed that after the injection, I vomit every time the next day. I am 5'7 and weighed 233. I am now 209. The nausea is sometimes unbearable. I feel like not taking this medicine. Everyone's body is different."

"So far, so good. Rarely get hungry and can't eat too much. Side effects: Heartburn, reflux, constipation, hair loss. I will have to weigh myself in the morning, but I am guessing I am down about 8 lbs. in 5 weeks. Just started on the 5 ml. No exercise yet. Wine and alcohol will definitely slow down the progress. Not a lot of cravings for junk. Every now and then I want something fried, but it will have you on the crapper by the next morning! Stay away from greasy food on this! And YES, the needle DOES hurt to me!"

"This medication has absolutely changed my life. In almost 4 months, I am down 30+ lb (205 to 175). Now I dosed up very quickly because the drug has also helped me with addiction issues as well (I think). I haven’t changed anything else except pretty quickly ramping up my dosage to 10 mg, and my urge to drink/use is virtually non-existent. Not sure if it’s because I know I’ll throw up if I drink the way I used to drink (I’m getting nauseous now just thinking about it), or if this miracle drug is somehow filling that void that alcohol and drugs had filled for years. Now to be clear, I do smoke weed pretty consistently throughout the day, so I’m not 100% sober by any means, but I’m at a point where it’s very manageable. I actually very much look forward to taking my shot. For example, my fiancé went out of town for an entire week, and I haven’t even tried to seek out drugs or even had a drink for that matter."

"I am in my 50s and I stayed on the 2.5 for 2 months and just began the 5 mg today. I had gastric sleeve exactly a year before covid, lucky me, huh? Working from home, no gym, already had depression, joint, and severe back issues. It all did not mix with slowing down and sitting down. I gained half of the weight I lost, and the high cholesterol returned. I started Zepbound on Feb 17, 2024, and lost 18 lbs by my first check-up on April 1. Very fast. My cholesterol dropped significantly. I do not have high blood pressure, but it was down too. All blood work is great. The only side effect is constipation that I fixed with Miralax. There are no food cravings or noise in my head. I get full very fast, although I have to remind myself to eat. I have dry mouth, I bought sugar-free popsicles to deal with that. I have been sleeping better, although I stay up late due to the energy it gives me."

"I started Zepbound in April 2024 at 193 lbs. It’s December 2024, I’m now 140 lbs. I have stayed at the 10 mg dose for almost 3 months now, as I am trying to tone my body since I lost 50 lbs fast. The side effects suck when I go up a dose, but my body adjusts after 4 weeks, so it’s been great. I have noticed that I wake up with hunger pains now, but my plan is to get used to them again before I start weaning off the drug. Side effects for me include headaches and fatigue. It’s not that bad after a while, the main thing is being strategic and proactive about getting your fiber, protein, and water in. I haven’t been to the gym since I started the 10 mg, and I’ve slowed down on the weight loss (which I’m okay with). I like 140, I’m just trying to tone now, so when I wean off, it won’t all come back. I’ll update you guys in a couple of months."

"I've been on this medication for 6 weeks and have never felt better about my body or my day. I didn't realize I could have a day where I wasn't thinking about food from the minute I got up until I fell asleep at night. I feel free to think about other things and to not be distracted by trying to have willpower to not eat. It's a huge relief. Is this what thin people feel like? People who have never struggled with being overweight? I have always thought my weight was based on my genetics, and maybe it is-but it's also my brain that literally is addicted to food. It feels like I've been released from an addiction. I haven't noticed any side effects. I tried Ozempic before this and was very constipated and had stomach issues. I don't feel that way at all on Zepbound, my stomach is fine. I'm on 2.5, it's very easy to administer, and I feel like it really works. I hope I'm able to take it for a long time, I'm sort of afraid to go back to the brain I had before taking it."

"I started on Friday, March 21, and had no side effects for the first two weeks. Then I overate cheesy pasta and had severe diarrhea. The next 10 days, I had three more episodes of diarrhea and vomiting. And severe fatigue. I was not able to continue my exercise routine as often as usual. The fatigue after minimal activity was interfering with my life. I cannot walk more than a few blocks. I stopped the injections three weeks ago, and for the most part, I have intermittent fatigue. It apparently takes about 25 days for the med to be out of the system. I lost 9 pounds after the first 3 or 4 weeks and have not gained them back. I didn't have quite the same separation of thoughts of food as I had expected. Hopefully, only another week or two to get my energy back."

"I started in October and am now on 10 mg. I have lost 106 lbs. I feel better than I have in years. I’m 69 and will be 70 in August. I do more, I get out more, I’m involved again. I have 60 more to go. I’m not saying it’s been a bed of roses, but the good outweighs the bad days 95%. "I've been on Zepbound for 6 months, and it has worked great for me! 40 lbs. down!!! I only feel yucky the day after the injection, but other than that, no other concerns. I just received a letter from my insurance company (Keystone East) stating that beginning 1/1/2025, IBX in whole is no longer covering weight loss drugs. WOW!!!! :( People like myself have been waiting most of their lives for a drug like this, and here we go with corporate America. Even though I'm 40 lbs. down, I still need to lose an additional 40 lbs. just to be considered overweight and not obese in the medical world. My joints no longer hurt, and I can work out without the aches and pains. My overall health has improved so much, and I am greatly disappointed and upset with this decision from IBX. "On week 5 of Zep. Goal to lose 20-25 lbs. Received a 2.5 mg 'loading' dose, I split it into 1.25 doses 3 days apart for the first 2 weeks as I tend to react strongly to meds. I had a bit of anxiety and fatigue on this dose and appetite suppression that waned by week 2, so I increased to 2.5 in one shot for weeks 3 and 4. Less anxiety/fatigue but more nausea and constipation, still manageable. I received a 5 mg dose in the mail at week 4 but had already lost 15 lbs on the 2.5 dose for 4 weeks. Week 5 - I tried the 5 mg. The next day, I was so sick to my stomach and nauseous that I struggled to eat or drink at all. I was dizzy and felt terrible, depressed, and kept getting the long bouts of hiccups. I will be at goal soon and plan to switch to metformin to maintain weight. For me, this med is miraculous, but I do not feel great on it. (For reference - I have a mental health diagnosis and pre-existing mild gastrointestinal issues, MTHFR gene variant)"

"With the initial injection of 2.5 taken before bed. I woke up with painful, swollen neck lymph nodes and extreme fatigue. The next day, the swollen lymph nodes seemed to have moved down, now in the chest/armpit area. On the 3rd day, one of my knees is swollen and horribly painful. I have absolutely never had any knee issues prior to the injection. If I get nauseous, drinking more water helps. At this start of the med, continuing is definitely not worth it."

"I have been on Zepbound for 6 weeks. (4 weeks 2.5) (2 weeks at 5.0) I have lost 23 lbs. 307-284 I ride bike/treadmill and lift weights. I eat 2300 calories a day. If I happen to eat too much, I don't seem to notice. But what I do notice is I don't crave food like before. Before, I used to still be hungry after dinner. Not anymore. "Began 1 month ago, March 2025, starting with 2.5 mg at 210 lbs, and I am 5'4", size 14. 2nd month, same dosage, 2.5 mg. Now my weight is 183 lbs, size 10. I do have nausea, but it goes away when I drink plenty of water/seltzer. I can eat what I want, but small portions, and I can put the fork down. I take the shot at bedtime. I have only used my arms. "I have been on Zepbound for two months and have lost only 9 pounds. I don't eat breakfast because I am not hungry, this has been a lifelong habit of mine. I am hungry at noon and eat more than I should. I have found that I am eating too fast, which is causing me to not have the weight loss that I would have if I ate slower. I have noticed that when I eat slower, I stop eating when I am halfway done with my meal. Hopefully, I can break a lifelong habit of eating fast. I have no side effects from the drug or overeating."
