Tegaserod for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I have not been the same since this pill has been taken off the market. I swear they took it off as it works so well. Maybe if they would have charged more and they would have made more money, they would have kept it on the market. Sad, really. I’m demanding to bring it back. Was the best drug ever."

Tegaserod for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "For me, there are no side effects. I took this medicine twice in a month. Saturday at 6:00 a.m., 6:30 full glass of water. 8:00 a.m. @ bathroom stops, 9:30 a.m. The third time I tried to use it, it does not work. I like the medicine. In Puerto Rico, it is not for sale anymore."

Tegaserod for Constipation, Chronic "I was 25 when I was finally diagnosed with IBS-C. I only took Zelnorm once, and I immediately felt better for a week. It basically flushed my system out all at once, and I never felt so good in my life. I didn't take it regularly, only when I really needed it. Two pills did the trick."

Tegaserod for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "Have both IBS and IC. Zelnorm stopped symptoms of both diseases. No adverse effects-none. On my brief drug-induced IC remissions, the IBS was not present. A GE conference in Munich in December 2008 had a presentation that in a follow-up study on patients in control and test groups of the original study had a dozen cardiovascular deaths in the control and none in the test side. That's exactly opposite of what the original study asserted. It was also pointed out mistakes in assembling the original data-false positives and soft angina. My source was Cardiology Today. The doctors presenting speculated why Zelnorm prevented cardio problems. I saw study after study praising the results of the drug. 11 years of misery: imagine how I feel. It should not have been pulled. Leave it at that!"

Tegaserod for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "Zelnorm has been a life saver for me! I was on it years back then it got jerked off the market. I agree with the person that mentioned Viagra wasn't taken off the market. Has anyone read its side effects? I finally got put back on Zelnorm, then my insurance sent a letter saying they won't cover it anymore. This is one of the best medications for IBS-C. For me, it's not right that your insurance can make that call when you know your body, and your gastrointestinal doctor agrees!"

Tegaserod for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I don’t have IBS, probably one of the reasons it didn’t work. I have Gastroparesis, low colon motility. I have a lot of paralysis throughout my GI tract, and we tried this medication hoping it would help, but I got such severe acid reflux I couldn’t keep any food down. It was constant heartburn and coughing. Probably not a symptom everyone has, but it was unbearable for me. I also gained so much weight, and I was so bloated."
