"I was on sulfasalazine for 25 years until my kidney function decreased, and I had bone marrow suppression. In other words, I became pretty ill. I already had third-stage kidney disease from another medication, bipolar. I take Topamax for the migraines. I have gastroparesis and take 5 other medications. I originally started with acute Crohn's colitis but have been in remission since taking prednisone and then sulfasalazine."
