Silodosin for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I have been on Rapaflo for 6 months. Results are mixed: some nights I'm up only once and others several times. Consuming liquids in the evening makes little difference. Sexually, the only change is no ejaculation, which is okay, I guess, but not great. The doctor recommends Avodart, but the side effects of that medicine are serious in my opinion: erectile dysfunction, swollen breasts, loss of sexual interest. Not going there."

Silodosin for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I'm 40 and was prescribed Rapaflo after blood flow to my groin was compromised due to hip alignment post-accident. I was experiencing poor urine flow, pain, and erectile dysfunction symptoms. Within a couple of hours on Rapaflo, my groin pain went away and blood flow increased. I have large, long-lasting erections, but no ejaculation and reduced orgasm. I've taken to cycling on and off Rapaflo, 3-4 days on / a week to two off, so my ejaculations are only compromised for a couple of days, but the effects seem to last a couple of weeks."

For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia "I have irritative prostatitis (also BPH). I'm changing from saw palmetto/pumpkin seed diet supplement to silodosin, which gave an improvement in urination only initially. Zero or weak ejaculation set in, low libido, and ED too. After a few months, severe postural hypotension and diarrhea set in, coupled with frequent slow urination (LUTS). Going back to saw palmetto - fewer side effects, approximately the same long-term effects on LUTS. Update: Urologist suggesting change to tadalafil (Cialis(R)) 5 mg... might try and see what happens."

Silodosin "64 years old. Went to the doctor because I was getting up 4 times a night to pee and at times didn't have a strong stream. Had no problem with my prostate, blood test came back fine. Put me on Rapaflo once a day. Slowly started having problems with my sleep. My primary started putting me on sleeping pills. Had a good sex life up to now, then everything stopped. Couldn't perform anymore, always soft. Took a pill for that, still only half-mast, never could ejaculate. 3 years of that till I got help from a friend. Told me he went through the same problem. I stopped all my pills but blood pressure. Back to life again. Doctors like to push pills."
