"I started on Wegovy .25 mg mid-August and felt no side effects but no weight loss neither. Difficult stool movement right away. After 6 weeks, I started taking .50 mg after difficulty finding this dose in any pharmacy in Miami. I stayed on this dose for 4 weeks without any weight loss or bad side effects, other than constipation. Then I started taking 1 mg and immediately started feeling very bad: severe nausea and indigestion and bad diarrhea. Obviously, you can’t eat anything, so yes, I finally started losing weight, but felt so bad, I could not function, slept a lot, did not eat, was on the toilet a lot, and decided this was not worth it and stopped after two injections. Perhaps other people can deal with these kinds of side effects or they just react easier. Since I started on low doses for so long, I was disappointed the side effects were still so strong. After about three days (after stopping), I feel normal again but weight comes back quickly if you don’t have an iron will!"

"I am very disappointed with Wegovy now. About a year ago, Wegovy was the best thing that ever happened to me. I lost the weight I desired. At that time, Wegovy was hard to find. It was on back order. When I started it, even the smallest doses, I did not feel hungry. The weight dropped fast. After several months, I stopped taking the medicine and began to see the weight come back on. So I decided to try Wegovy again this year. There is plenty in stock this year, however, it is not as effective as before. What happened? Did Wegovy water down their ingredients because of the high demand? I have been taking the shots, still feel hungry, and have not lost any pounds. Last year, when the medicine was in high demand, it worked. Please, Wegovy, don’t change your ingredients. The high cost of the medicine is still the same, the medicine should stay the same. It’s not fair to the customers."

"I have been on Wegovy for 2 months. No weight loss. Still hungry. I have been nauseated at times, and it’s been depressing because I haven’t lost any weight. Need to increase my water intake, though, and I’m about to start a higher dosage, so I’ll definitely keep you all posted."

"Wegovy worked really well at first. I was terrified of all the horrible first-trimester type side effects everyone littered the internet with, but fortunately for me, I did not experience anything except some constipation, which was easily cured by adding more fruit and veggies to whatever I was able to eat. By the 1mg dose, I started waking up having panic attacks. I have never had depression, anxiety, or any sort of issue like this. I would get triggered by getting disturbed in the middle of my night sleep (which, as a mother, is inevitable). The panics included nausea, shaking (as if I was cold but I wasn’t), writhing and stretching in bed in full body discomfort, and just hysterically uneasy and praying for relief. It happened several times after that, and today as I write this, I just worked through a .5 dose panic attack as I tried to lower the dose, and it didn’t help. Everyone is different, but just know this is from the medicine, and you are not going insane."

"Administered my first (and last) shot Tuesday, 6/20. Starting about 9 hours later that day, it's been vomiting and diarrhea nonstop. Can't keep ginger ale down, can't keep dry toast down. Can't keep plain crackers down. I have no clue where the stuff coming out of me is coming from. I wasn't a big eater prior to the injection, just with my age, I can't seem to drop pounds. With what I've been going through the last 48 hours (and still am), I will not be taking any further injections. Hope it works for all of you, but not for me."

"Last night, I had my first injection of 1 mg strength (week 3). I have gastrointestinal issues of bloating, eructation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, LUQ 3-4/10 pain. It feels like a stomach virus, chills, but afebrile. Fatigue and anorexia. Only lost 5 lbs, but think it’s due to significantly reduced food intake."

"My experience with Wegovy has been a rollercoaster. In the first week, the 0.25 mg dose was great. In the second week, I started feeling the side effects of nausea, burping, gas, diarrhea, and bloating. I noticed that I did eat more. Make sure your portions are small and stick to fruit and vegetables. Soups and not greasy processed foods. You may feel sick and will take longer to digest. I am currently reconsidering if I should continue. I am not sure if I want to experience the side effects at a higher dose. I feel terrible all the time and have a headache. I feel exhausted all the time."

"Lots of annoying side effects without losing any weight the first 4 months. Didn't lose any weight until I started exercising with a diet of less than 1,000 calories a day. Worse side effects: significant sleepiness, especially after eating, severe indigestion, and GERD. Injections easy to do and usually no associated pain. Am finishing my last dose of 1.7 mg this week, and after all these months, I have finally lost 9 lbs, all in the last month, once I started bike riding and water aerobics. But you have to decide if the side effects are worth it. I am retired, so I have been taking a 2-hour nap almost daily since I feel extremely tired a few hours after getting up in the morning. I have felt generally unwell the whole time I have taken it, although I am able to continue my life as usual. I can't wait to get off it, although they say it may be a lifelong medication. I hope that my body will eventually get used to it."

"I’ve been on the lowest dose of Wegovy for 3 weeks now. I was one of those that dealt with nausea within my 3rd injection, so bad I had to have Zofran prescribed. I started taking my Zofran, only needing 1 pill a day, and getting the nausea under control, only for my body to respond with loose stools. It is now day 5 of the stomach issues, and when I tell you this shot has TAKEN me out, I mean completely stopped my world. At first, I thought I had a stomach virus the first few days, but knew it could be the shot as well. Then as it progressed, I started thinking something else serious was wrong with me. The abdominal pain from my stomach just being exhausted from all that it’s going through is intense! One of the main reasons I chose to go to the ER to ensure this wasn’t something serious. X-ray and labs showed everything to be normal, so the doctor ruled it as the injection's side effects."

"I have been on Wegovy for 8 weeks now (0.5 mg dose). I had occasional nausea, but this week I had diarrhea, vomiting, gas, nausea, and stomach pain. Thank goodness I was able to work from home, otherwise, I would have had to call out. I thought I had the stomach flu, but now I wonder if it's the medication. I am supposed to move up to the 1 mg in two days, but I am scared to. I took Ozempic for two months, and the only side effect I had was horrible heartburn, but it was very difficult to get, so I had to switch. I am contemplating not taking this anymore. I can handle some nausea, but to be so sick you can't function is a whole other thing. And I have not lost any weight."

"I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and haven't lost any weight so far. My appetite isn't suppressed like it's supposed to be. I'm not sick or nauseous, there is no effect on me other than being tired. I'm wondering if it will start working any time soon. I'm on the 2.4 mcg strength, which is the highest."

"I am about 6 months in, and at 2.4 per week, I have lost 17 lbs. It does work to curb your appetite, but I always feel sick. I have noticed I have developed severe migraines after week two, but kept going. I am currently on migraine medication, Ajovy, and it is not helping. Sometimes, it comes with blurred vision, which gets a bit better once it gets closer to taking it again. I have gone to the ER three times over 6 months with severe headaches, but nothing helps. It has really impacted my way of life, and I do feel like a worse wife and mother because I am always sick and have a constant headache that never, ever goes away. I gave it a go, but at this point, the cons outweigh the pros for me. I did stop Wegovy two weeks ago and noticed an improvement in my headaches and my menstrual cycle. Headaches basically gone, why didn't I stop sooner?"

"I started Wegovy on Nov. 15, 2021. It’s been six months, and I have lost 34 pounds, from 364 to 329. Twenty of those were in the first two months. It is very slow going. It has cut down my appetite a ton, but I’m still not losing as much as everyone else, which is really disappointing. In fact, my skinny friends even question how I can eat so little and not be hungry. I’m on 2.4 mg, and the weird thing is that my blood sugar has gone up from 5.6 before starting Wegovy to 5.9 now. Still, I’m going to stick it out at least until the end of the year just because our insurance doesn’t pay anything until we meet our annual deductible, but now that our deductible has been met, it only costs $24. If I don’t see better results by the end of this year, I doubt I will continue just because of the cost before insurance kicks in."

"Started Wegovy at the end of March 2022 on 0.25, and it definitely worked at suppressing my appetite. I had slight nausea the first two days after injection, but not too bad. I just started the .5 dose on week 5, and I’ve gotten terribly sick. I was up all night with diarrhea and vomiting, similar to food poisoning. I don’t think I will continue after this experience. Very unfortunate because it does work if you can handle the side effects."

"Just completed my first month on Wegovy. I was on the 0.5 dose and only lost 5 pounds. Was a little disappointed that was all I lost. Today started on the 1.0 dose, hoping to lose more weight than just 5 pounds a month. Doing low carb. Feel bloated and experiencing constipation."

"I had mediocre weight loss compared to many on this drug, and significant side effects. Extreme gastritis, which affected breathing, and on month 4, I started losing hair. Month 6, I am without 80% of my hair. I am shocked that this wasn't seen more in clinical trials. While it was seen, it was a small percentage, but join any group on the drug, and you'll see hair loss everywhere. I'll add, I've lost hair from extreme weight loss before, this is nothing like this, this is major loss. I am not convinced in another two months I'm going to be bald, and I went off three weeks ago."

"Have been on the drug for four months and have lost 14 lbs. Now on 1.7 mg dose and have had intense nausea off and on for the last 3 weeks. Prior to this, on lower doses, nausea was milder, but heartburn and reflux were worse. If this kind of nausea persists, I don’t think I can stay on the drug much longer. It’s just too brutal to be so nauseated and tired for so much of the day."

"I started Wegovy in October at the lowest possible dosage and worked up to 1.7 by February. I had no side effects and very slowly lost weight, which I was fine with. I lost 35 pounds in six months. However, oddly enough, after five weeks at 1.7 with no side effects, I became quite ill. I started having the sulfur belches, followed by vomiting and severe diarrhea. I went to urgent care. They said it was a normal response and to take anti-diarrhea meds. I did. It got worse, to the point of diarrhea every 15-20 minutes. After six days of this, I went to the emergency room. They admitted me. I spent nine days in the hospital with severe dehydration, which caused my kidneys and pancreas to start shutting down. Docs felt I had a separate bacterial bug not caused by my shots. I was finally able to go home. My doctor had me start back at a safer .25 dose. I did, but immediately got sick again. I think I need to stop these meds, sadly, as they did originally help me, but I can’t go on this way."

"The nausea wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard. I do get a little nauseous the first few days but still continue to work. The worst side effect I have is a rash/hives. Wakes me up in the middle of the night itching, and now I have it on my forehead and eyelids, swelling of the eyes, and again, some serious itching!"

"I’ve been on Wegovy for 3 months and have lost 18 lbs. I have had constant heartburn and constipation. I really haven’t felt good since I began with Wegovy. Stool softeners and an occasional suppository have helped. I keep hoping the heartburn will improve, but it doesn’t. Using liquid Mylanta for temporary relief. Think twice before starting. It’s definitely not a pleasant way to lose weight."

"On Wegovy 0.25 for 8 weeks with little effect. Now, starting 0.5 and hoping appetite suppression will start. I'm mid 80's, 230 pounds. The only side effects thus far are constipation and some drowsiness. Fiber gummies help the former, as does an occasional Colese tablet. A short nap helps the tiredness. I'm sticking to my normal diet but trying to eat less so my wife does not have to prepare different meals for me. Given my normal diet, I've read that losing 30 to 35 pounds over six months is a reasonable expectation."

"Experienced nausea and acid reflux with first four doses. The second box, the first pen did not work properly, the needle did not go all the way in. The medicine caused a bubble under the skin, was burning and hurting more than just the original needle stick. Called the drug company, they said because I did not watch the yellow tab, I would not be reimbursed. Not to mention that the medicine had no place to go until I pulled it out, and it sprayed all over my hand. The drug company is not good about standing behind their faulty product. If you have a problem, make sure to say you were watching the yellow bar, and you may have a chance at getting it replaced. Not good customer service."
