"I have been on Wegovy for 5 weeks, and I have already seen a decrease in my caloric intake (food record tracking) and a decrease in my appetite, which is helping with food intake. The only problematic side effects I have experienced are some indigestion and nausea in the 2nd - 3rd week of treatment, but this has resolved. I have just bumped up to .5 mL dosage with no issues. I am excited to be on this enhanced weight loss journey and look forward to positive results over the next months!"

"70 pounds down and maintained for over a year now. Wegovy in conjunction with a high-protein, low-carb food plan does it right. I am convinced that the majority of negative outcomes are due to people just shooting the drug and making no changes to their diet. Stay off the sugar, keep your carb intake to vegetables and limited fruits only. Constipation avoided by adding a magnesium citrate supplement. (I use Calm)."

"On Wegovy 0.25 for 8 weeks with little effect. Now, starting 0.5 and hoping appetite suppression will start. I'm mid 80's, 230 pounds. The only side effects thus far are constipation and some drowsiness. Fiber gummies help the former, as does an occasional Colese tablet. A short nap helps the tiredness. I'm sticking to my normal diet but trying to eat less so my wife does not have to prepare different meals for me. Given my normal diet, I've read that losing 30 to 35 pounds over six months is a reasonable expectation."

"Feeling very full after eating, I have some nausea and a little bit of discomfort. It is a bit constipating, which is annoying as I would rather not have to rely on stool softeners."

"The side effects have been mild to moderate, but tolerable. Weight loss has been dramatic, with a reduction in BMI from well over 30 to under 25. After over a year on the drug, I am still at 1 mg. Increases have so far been contraindicated."

"Started Wegovy 0.25 mg 2 1/2 weeks ago. I feel great and have lost 6 lbs already. I am on this for weight loss as I needed some help with cravings and mindless eating. My cravings have stopped, and I feel full quickly and still feel full before my next meal. The pharmacist told me to drink lots of water. I have been trying! The only symptom I would state, and I don't even know if it's related, is that lately, during the night, it feels like gastric reflux. I usually get up then, and it subsides. I have taken Gaviscon once with relief. I think it is because I had salsa before bed, perhaps too late in the evening. I am excited to be on this med and am determined to do this."

"Was on Ozempic from April to July 2024 - lost 5 kg; then Ozempic was out of stock and the pharmacy was not very helpful. Started on Wegovy; first 0.25 mg dose yesterday, Jan 29, 2025. So far, side effects - mild headache. Current weight 82 kg... hope for the best."

"Wegovy was prescribed for weight loss, with a secondary potential benefit being a reduction in glucose levels and A1C. Began at minimal dose of 0.25 mg/0.5 ml. Had virtually no side effects. Also lost exactly 0 lbs. However, this first month included Thanksgiving, so a bonus that no weight was gained. Second month dose increased to 0.5 mg/0.5 ml. Side effects were primarily indigestion, some headaches, and very occasionally low blood pressure, but it included Christmas, so a positive was no gain. Month 3 increased dose to 1.0 mg/0.5 ml. In the first week at this dosage, can finally feel the appetite suppression. Side effects have included indigestion, burping, headache, and a bit of feeling sluggish. It has been very easy to administer the injections. I have been using the lower part of my stomach as the injection site, alternating from left to right side each week. So far, each injection has succeeded."

"Works well. Lost 48 lbs in 5 months. I’m not sure why insurance companies don’t pay for it because it is good for overall health. I no longer need BP meds. I have had body chills with no fever."

"I started Wegovy 2 weeks ago. I have acid reflux and constipation. I took 1 magnesium/citrate gummy to help with the constipation and ended up with severe cramping with diarrhea in the middle of the night. The acid reflux happens every evening, and acid reflux meds cause constipation. I’m not enjoying the Wegovy."

"It's been great-I'm 53 years old, and I've been taking it since August. I've lost 30 pounds with no side effects. I take a 0.5 mg shot once a week, and I feel better than I have since before my last pregnancy 13 years ago. I tried everything to lose weight, and it just wouldn't come off. I have a family history of heart disease that includes my father having his first heart attack at 36, resulting in open-heart surgery, and his death at 49 from another heart attack. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, plus I weighed 230 pounds at 5'4" tall. I asked my doctor for a couple of years to prescribe a semaglutide, but because it was only really available for diabetics, she refused. When Wegovy was cleared for weight loss, she agreed to let me try it. It has been life-saving, I think."

"Just moved to 0.5 mg. No side effects, down 10 lbs. No longer have all the “food noise.” Eliminated all the snacking, and portion sizes naturally reduced during meal time as a result of the drug. Hearing some reviews where later doses caused more significant side effects, but so far, highly recommend."

"I've been injecting Wegovy for the past three months on a weekly basis. I am at the 1 mg dosage. I have been having brief dizzy episodes. These could be related to my Lisinopril dosage. I have had stomach upsets and fatigue, but no trouble with the injecting. I have lost 25 pounds since starting - 220 - 195 lbs. I have been able to tolerate the side effects."

"I've been on Wegovy since 12/2022. I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."

"Other medications I am required to take have caused increased appetite and subsequently weight gain. Almost immediately after starting Wegovy (0.5), I wasn't hungry, was not craving carbs or sweets, and was able to eat good food and be satisfied with less than half the amount of food I usually had. In seven weeks, I have lost 9 kilos. It seems effortless after years of dieting. Side effects are definitely constipation and dehydration. I did have a problem with the pen on week 4, wasn't sure I got the dosage, but seems ok so far."

"I just started my 2nd injection of Wegovy. I had no side effects with the first injection at all but lost 2 lbs. On my 2nd, I feel a little tired, but no symptoms so far. I can tell that I need to drink more water, and it seems that I can no longer finish a plate of food. I’m glad my doctor recommended I try this. It really does work!"

"I am a 74-year-old male who weighed 250 when I started Wegovy. I am now a week into the 2.4 mg dosage and down to 224 lbs. My appetite has declined, and I no longer crave food. I have only one side effect, and that has been constipation. It started the day I began the medication and still continues. I am taking milk of magnesia, and it helps, but still not regular as I would like. I strongly recommend this drug."

"I am on my 3rd injection today of Wegovy. Started at 234.5 pounds. Down 8 so far. I'm not sure it's all Wegovy, as I've been able to lose 40 lbs on my own 2 separate times, and I am still doing the things that gave me that success before. Eating close to 1200 a day calories, walking 10,000 steps a day, and lowering alcohol consumption. Still, I do believe it is helping me get a good start and get my mind right. The fear of the side effects is what is probably keeping me in line. So far though, I've only had headaches and fatigue a day or so after the shots. Otherwise, no other side effects, so I am pleased so far with how things are going."

"I have had an excellent experience with Wegovy. I started out at 232 pounds in April 2023, and by September 2024, I have lost 100 pounds. I have not had any side effects that I can attribute to Wegovy. It was very easy to use. I now feel so much better physically, mentally, and emotionally."

"The first four days have been really rough. I’ve experienced nausea, vomiting, severe heartburn, and stomach pain. I really want this to work, so I’ll continue. The doctors have had to prescribe nausea and vomiting medicine. It helps. I’m taking Alka-Seltzer for the heartburn. I’m really hoping the side effects will stop."

"First off, BigMac was my nickname in high school, not the burger. In July, my doctor put me on Wegovy .25 dose for obesity and diabetes. Each month, he has increased my dosage, I just finished my first month of 2.4mg dosage. Started at 369lbs, this morning 297 lbs (72 lbs lost), my clothes are ones I grew out of a couple of years ago. My A1C is below pre-diabetes levels, and my blood pressure is lower than it was when I was 20. I have gone over a week now with no events on my CPAP machine. I sleep better at night, I have more energy during the day. Twenty-two more pounds, my doctor says I will be able to have my knee replacement done. It has greatly changed my life, I am currently 63 years old and feel like I have a new lease on my life."

"Just started Wegovy. Only 2 shots in at the starting dose. I like it so far. A little nausea at times, but it’s tolerable. I am drinking more water, which I think helps. The food noise is definitely dialed back big time. I do not feel hungry throughout the day, and I am eating about half the amount of food I am used to eating. I was very nervous taking the 1st shot. I am not afraid of needles at all, but I had a mental block thing going on. My recommendation is to do the shot in your arm. It’s easier than the stomach or leg. And if you have a doctor, close friend, or family member to help out, let them help for the 1st shot so you can see how the pen actually works live. The videos are helpful, but in person is much different. Good luck! I will post again in a few months."
