"I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

"I’ve been using Wegovy for 12 weeks. I’m up to 0.50 and staying here. Tried 1.0 and it was too strong. Felt nauseous and experienced painful stomach cramps with 1.0. I have reached my goal weight. I lost 35 pounds and I’m very happy with the process and results. The only negative is, I’m on thyroid medication and noticed hot flashes and heart palpitations I didn’t experience before. I had my levels checked and they are way off! Consulting with my doctor. Not sure if I’ll continue Wegovy."

"I was started on Wegovy because my metabolism came to a crashing halt. No matter how healthy I ate, I kept gaining and retaining water weight. I was 478 pounds when I started in April 2023 and have lost 85 pounds in 7 months. My goal is another 100 pounds, but I've noticed that the weight loss slows down on certain weeks and increases other weeks. I've been on 2.4 mg for about 5 months and haven't experienced many of the side effects that have been known to occur. The worst was the upset stomach and the body cleansing itself the first couple of weeks. I am now wearing clothes that I have not been able to fit into for almost 4 years. Wegovy may not be for everyone, but it has been a game changer for me!"

"I had my second 0.25 shot 2 days ago. My appetite is definitely less, and I am able to stay on my 1200 calorie lower carb diet without the hunger that haunted me before Wegovy. I also take a multivitamin once daily. I have lost about 7 lbs. I have been constipated, but nowhere near the amount that opioids do. I do chart my food intake and sip fluids throughout the day. Exercise three days a week. So far, so good."

"I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. This has been a life changer for me!"

"I'm 60 years old, started taking Wegovy for weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I’ve been on the medication now for 10 weeks. My starting weight was 296. Currently, I weigh 266, and my numbers are great. The cons are I only feel good 4 days a week. The first 3 days after the injection are tough: nausea, headaches. But as far as I’m concerned, it works great. I’m not hungry at all. I feel much better. Another added bonus for me was I was a heavy drinker. On this medication, I have no desire to drink at all. I went from 5 cases a week to absolutely nothing. I don’t miss it at all. Miracle drug."

"In August, my doctor prescribed me Wegovy 0.25. It was out of stock, so I started with Saxenda. I took it for 1 month and lost 13 lbs. When it was time to refill, Saxenda was out of stock, so my doctor switched me to Wegovy 1.7. Since I didn’t have any side effects and that is what was available. Since 8/9/23, when I started my weight loss journey, I have now lost a total of 40 lbs. The medication does work. The only problem is it staying in stock. I can now fit into clothes I wore pre-pandemic. My BMI went from 36 to now 28.7. The only side effect is some stomach cramping, but I realized I needed to drink more water and force myself to eat something even though I am not hungry. Hope this is helpful."

"It's been great-I'm 53 years old, and I've been taking it since August. I've lost 30 pounds with no side effects. I take a 0.5 mg shot once a week, and I feel better than I have since before my last pregnancy 13 years ago. I tried everything to lose weight, and it just wouldn't come off. I have a family history of heart disease that includes my father having his first heart attack at 36, resulting in open-heart surgery, and his death at 49 from another heart attack. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, plus I weighed 230 pounds at 5'4" tall. I asked my doctor for a couple of years to prescribe a semaglutide, but because it was only really available for diabetics, she refused. When Wegovy was cleared for weight loss, she agreed to let me try it. It has been life-saving, I think."

"The first four weeks on the .25 dose I lost a few pounds. The next 8 weeks on the .5 dosage I lost about 5 lbs, but then I plateaued and my weight actually increased. My Dr. increased the dosage to 1.0, which I have been on for the last 10 days. I have not lost any more weight. My opinion is that this drug may be helpful to some, it didn't help me. I was buying the drug from Novo Care at a cost of $500 per four doses and have spent a total of $2,000 to date. I have 2 doses in the refrigerator, but I am not going to use them. What I realized was a 12 lb weight loss, severe lethargy, stomach discomfort, and severe constipation. Conclusion: Not worth the money or effort. The side effects far outweigh the benefits."

"Started my journey 6/10/2024. It is currently 6/25/2024, and I took my 3rd shot last night. No weight loss yet, but my appetite for food has completely died down. I will feel full for most of the day after eating two boiled eggs for breakfast, although now I eat them for lunch because I’m not hungry in the morning. No side effects so far, one more shot of 0.25 left, then I will start the 0.5. Hopefully, weight will start going down, I have always had issues losing pounds no matter how little I ate. I am 5'1", female, 37 BMI, and 204 pounds. Wishing y'all and myself luck. If you’re afraid of taking your first shot, don’t be. It is virtually painless, and most people don’t have side effects. I think it’s worth a shot for sure. I’ll keep y'all posted, update in a month."

"I had been on this drug for 4 months. Typical escalation dose until month 4, I stayed on the 1 mg. The side effects were rough since increasing to 1 mg. So much nausea, worsened reflux, constipation, bloating, burping, and indigestion. I vomited once, but there were a few times I almost did. In the last few weeks, I noticed hair loss. Noticed skin tags that I have never had...like 3 grew since the med. Weird. Oh, and I had serious issues with certain smells. I had to change out the hand soaps in my house 5 times. If I smell rubbing alcohol, I am instantly nauseous. Just looking at the Wegovy box before injecting would make me dizzy and nauseous. So weird. Difficult to eat healthy on this med due to side effects, and only able to tolerate simple carbs, low-fat diet. Also hard to work out when feeling so nauseous...so didn't think it was contributing to my health. Has not really contributed to weight loss, and appetite is almost the same as before med."

"I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

"Wegovy is working great! Very important to hydrate and have a lot of fiber. Also, control your portion size; you cannot eat large portions. I'm following a strict 1300 calorie lifestyle change. From June 17, 2023, to present (Sept 19, 2023), I've lost 30 lbs. The injections are simple and virtually painless. I'm currently on 1.7 and I have little to no side effects. I inject every Saturday night before I go to sleep. I read that taking medication before bed reduces nausea and for me, it has worked. The only side effect is that I have absolutely NO desire to drink alcohol. The best side effect ever! I've already stopped taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol medication has been reduced to the lowest dose, and my A1C is out of the pre-diabetic range and within normal limits, and I'm only halfway to my weight loss goal. All medication has been stopped or reduced by my physician after blood work. Very happy!"

"Wegovy has agonizing side effects. I had to quit after 2 months. Constant, uncontrollable vomiting, I vomited at work and while driving (which was horrific and dangerous). I essentially became bulimic and afraid to eat. I lost 20 pounds but put half of it back right away. Not worth the agony."

"I’m on Week 15 of treatment and have lost nothing. On the first dose of 0.75 mg, I experienced heartburn, fullness, and zero appetite for 5 days. I was hopeful that it had finally started to work. On subsequent doses of 0.75 mg and 1 mg, and now on 1.7 mg, I’ve felt no effects from Wegovy. I’ve tried switching injection sites from my abdomen to my arm with no effect."

"Started Wegovy on May 11th at 0.25. I'm on my 4th injection of 0.5 and moving up to 1.0 next week. Started at 228 lbs. I'm down to 213. No side effects. I have to eat a small dinner and not too close to bedtime or I get heartburn. Slow and steady wins the race. Wegovy is the most effective appetite suppressant I have ever used, and best of all, no jitters or sleeplessness."

"I love it! Wegovy did what I needed it to do, it calmed my appetite. I had zero side effects. I lost twenty pounds in one month. I only have one problem, I can no longer get Wegovy in my needed dosage of 0.25 mg. I will patiently wait for the manufacture of Wegovy to catch up to the demand for their product because it works that well for me. Thank you for creating a product that has worked as advertised."

"Pros - I've been on Wegovy for 7 months. It started working right away. Lost between 8-15 lbs a month. It mostly has affected my appetite (not feeling hungry). Have lost 65 lbs thus far. Cons - nothing noticeable until I made it to the 1.7 mg dosage, and it got worse on the 2.4 mg. Severe diarrhea and cramps a day after eating. I noticed this became more regular after the 2.4 mg dosage. It happens 4-5 days after the injection, only for it to clear up after I give myself the next injection. Any bismuth anti-diarrhea helps to clear this, but you have to remember to take it with almost every meal."

"Started Wegovy 3 months ago using the gradual phase-up method. From 0.25 mg dose for 4 weeks to 0.50 mg dose for 4 weeks, then 1.0 mg dose for 4 weeks. During the initial phase, I experienced mild nausea and some stomach irritation. With each increase, the symptoms got worse until finally, at the full 1.0 mg dose, I was so sick I thought I had stomach flu for 2 weeks continuously. The belching was horrible. The nausea caused uncontrollable vomiting, and I had frequent diarrhea. After 3 months, I lost 12 pounds and felt horrible every day. I've now reduced the dose to 0.5 mg but still suffer from nausea and stomach upset. I might cut back again, but I'm thinking I will quit. The way I feel all the time is horrible! I'm thinking I lost weight because of all the vomiting. Not recommended."

"I started taking Wegovy 2 weeks ago. The first week was okay, but in the second week, I started experiencing really bad anxiety. I wish I could be like other people and just get regular side effects. So far, I have lost 10 lbs."

"I have been on Wegovy now for two months and have lost 20 pounds. The only issue I have had since starting is constipation. I tried various laxatives, but it took a long time for them to kick in. They have started to work, which is awesome as I was getting concerned. I am a 75-year-old male and started at 235 pounds. I have dropped 20 pounds so far and would like to lose that much again. I have more energy, have dropped from size 40 pants to a very loose 38. As I said, my only issue has been the constipation, but maybe I need to increase my water intake to offset that. I would recommend this product, but the side effects are not the same for everyone. Best of luck to all."

"I love the effects of Wegovy, however, my stomach felt upset the whole time I took it. I lost a lot of weight, pretty quickly. It happened so fast; I could not keep up with clothing size changes. I lost about 50 pounds in 3 months. I tried to eat, but the weight kept coming off. I would recommend a probiotic to help with the stomach issues, but overall, I am happy with the experience."

"Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfur burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness, only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to a 1 mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However, it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked in 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me, and I needed this medication. I started at 221 lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity, and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

"Started out with .25 mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50 mg dose, and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited, and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive if I get decent weight loss. I am also fairly active, and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid because of cancer nine years ago."

"I started Wegovy in Jan. 2022. I didn’t feel much effect for two months, although I lost a few pounds. Starting in the third month, it kicked in. The weight loss isn’t fast, about 4 to 6 lbs a month, which I feel is healthy. I’ve lost 27 pounds. Like others, I had some queasiness, especially in the first few months, but it was quickly resolved with Zofran and has mostly disappeared. I now feel full after smaller portions than before and notice I eat about half as much as previously and feel perfectly satisfied. I’ve read that you tend to gain weight back if you go off the drug and that many doctors feel you should be on it forever, as with other chronic conditions. I hope that’s not the case, as I don’t like the idea of being on any drug forever. In fact, I’m hoping I can also go off blood pressure meds eventually. My goal is to lose another 30 lbs, which now feels entirely doable. My excellent insurance covers it at $25 a month."
