"Mixed review: I took Wegovy for 5 months, hoping to ultimately lose 15-20 pounds. I didn’t start losing weight until I started the 1.7 mg dosage (third month), and at that dosage, I was exceedingly tired and achy. I lost 10 pounds in 4 months but stopped taking it because of these side effects. Four months later, without Wegovy, I’m still down 5 pounds. My insurance partially covered this with a significant copay because I also have cardiovascular risks. I’d recommend only if you don’t experience the same side effects."

"I’ve been on Wegovy for 3 months and have lost 18 lbs. I have had constant heartburn and constipation. I really haven’t felt good since I began with Wegovy. Stool softeners and an occasional suppository have helped. I keep hoping the heartburn will improve, but it doesn’t. Using liquid Mylanta for temporary relief. Think twice before starting. It’s definitely not a pleasant way to lose weight."

"I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

"My GP and specialist wanted me on this medication because my liver is really bad. I have NAFLD, and my liver is 90% full of fat. I tried losing weight on my own first. I was 91 kg (200 pounds) and got stuck at 85 kg (187 pounds). The goal was to lose weight to hopefully reduce the fat in my liver. I started the injections on the 1st of December 2024. The side effects are horrendous. I'm sick 24/7. I've wanted to give up so many times, but I've stuck it out for my liver. Nearly 4 months on it, and I now weigh 74 kg (163 pounds). A total loss of 11 kg (24 pounds) in less than 4 months. I've recently had my bloods done, and unfortunately, the results have come back worse. :( If I wasn't on this medication for my liver, I absolutely would not have stayed on this long with how sick I've been. The medication does what it's supposed to do, though. Good luck to everyone. I'm happy to see a lot of people with little to no side effects. I'm a little jealous, haha."

"I've been on Wegovy since September 2024. To date, I've lost about 30 pounds. I've had very mild side effects, a little nausea occasionally, particularly the first few days after increasing dosage. I have ongoing GI issues that have made it worse a few times in the last 6 months, but nothing too serious. I was nervous about injecting myself weekly, but it has been relatively easy and painless for me. I'm finally getting clear signals to stop eating when I'm full. I used to think eating a full plate of pasta was no big deal, and now I eat less pasta in general, but if I do, I aim for no more than half, and usually it's closer to a third of a plate with the addition of a small side of non-starchy vegetables. I've been seeing a nutritionist too, and they've been so helpful in making lifelong diet changes. Right before I started taking Wegovy, I looked at the reviews on here and it nearly scared me away. I'm so glad it didn't. Wegovy has been such a helpful tool in my health journey."

"I've currently lost 12 kgs in 2 months, and due to the ongoing beneficial effects at .5, I've stayed at this dosage. However, I constantly feel dehydrated even though I'm drinking plenty of water throughout the day. The consequences are that I need to take laxatives at least once per week, or I have no bowel movements. Other than this inconvenience, all is good, and I'm still very happy with the results, which have left me feeling fitter and healthier."

"Been taking Wegovy for 2 months now. First month, very little side effects & lost 14 lbs. Second month, moved up to the 0.5 dose. Stomach issues started, mainly rumbling noises with diarrhea/constipation. Has gone on for weeks now (not days), so have referred myself to my GP."

"I have been on this drug for over two months, and it is fantastic. No side effects (just very mild in the first few days). I have stayed on the lowest dose of 0.25 mg so far, as I am losing weight gradually each week. I am eating healthily and keeping an eye on roughly how many calories I consume a day (this is so I don’t overeat or undereat. I want to have enough strength and energy for work and sport too). The drug is like a friend who has your back. You still enjoy food and can still feel hungry, but your appetite is reduced, as are cravings for unhealthy food. It’s a miracle! I ordered mine through Boots the Chemist, who offer a lot of helpful support and advice."

"Effective, but my health insurer and primary care doctor will not approve for off-label. Doctor only willing to prescribe off-label for 28 days. I paid out of pocket for the drug. I just want to control my weight."

"Have lost about 10 lbs over the last 7 months, but I had lost 30 already using a behavioral modification weight loss plan and was stuck. Doctor moved me up in doses very slowly to help me maintain lose in the long run. I am happy with this approach. Insurance covers this for me as I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and both parents have/had heart disease, and one parent already passed due to a heart attack and the other has already had two. My goal is to lose another 20 or so pounds and keep it off. Hoping to be able to step down the dose for maintenance. Biggest side effect has been constipation, but using OTC laxative at night and that keeps everything moving. Game-changing drug, especially having it covered by insurance."

"I have been on Wegovy now for two months and have lost 20 pounds. The only issue I have had since starting is constipation. I tried various laxatives, but it took a long time for them to kick in. They have started to work, which is awesome as I was getting concerned. I am a 75-year-old male and started at 235 pounds. I have dropped 20 pounds so far and would like to lose that much again. I have more energy, have dropped from size 40 pants to a very loose 38. As I said, my only issue has been the constipation, but maybe I need to increase my water intake to offset that. I would recommend this product, but the side effects are not the same for everyone. Best of luck to all."

"Life-saving, have been on Wegovy for four months now and have lost 42 lbs (am 6'1" and was 297 lbs prior to starting, with obstructive sleep apnea). Currently on 1.7 mg dosage. Has changed my eating habits as well as cravings, I now have better portion control. I have been combining it with 16:8 intermittent fasting, which has also helped. Have noticed I'm drinking less beer/alcohol, as I feel full after two beers. Is expensive (around $370 AUD per month), however, worth every cent, I've found I've been spending less on groceries and takeaways since taking Wegovy. I set myself a 12-month target to lose 77 lbs, and I'm halfway there with 8 months to go and feel great. I have had some occasional nausea (generally at night), but side effects have been minimal. If you can afford it, it’s a great investment in your health and well-being."

"I’ve been on Wegovy 0.025 for only 2 weeks, and I’ve lost 7 lbs. I was 245, now I’m 238. This is a miracle drug. Only side effects are a metallic taste and heartburn. I’m not going to give up. I’ve been eating Healthy Choice TV dinners and loving the high protein and low-calorie meals. I’ll chat again in 2 weeks."

"From the very beginning, I began to lose weight and felt just fine. I lost the equivalent of a preteen child. I went from 265 to 189. It took some time, but I only developed heavy dandruff or mild psoriasis. After being off of Wegovy for several months, I only regained about 8-10 lbs. It has plateaued. Would I take it again? Absolutely!"

"Severe reaction to Zepbound, so changed to Wegovy! Doing fine on 5 mg. Mild nausea, but doing okay! Had adverse effects conflicting with venlafaxine, worked through. Definitely have had vision changes as I have had cataract surgery and vision is affected. Yes, I guess I should stop, but I have 2 more months for 6 months of RX, then will quit! Have lost a good 25 lbs."

"Beginning weight was 234 and began at 0.25 in June 2024, and just began 2.4 today at 177. Been going up very slowly, but weight loss has slowed way down. Still have 17 pounds to lose, but prefer 27 more. Have gone from 2XL/Size 22 to size 14. Have dealt with nausea, headaches, occasional constipation/diarrhea, depending on what I eat. Small meals, five times a day, plus drinking lots of water is key. I get extremely tired the day or two after taking the shot. I take the shot at night, hoping to be at my goal weight by the end of May 2025. 63-year-old woman and all blood work now within normal limits."

"I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and have lost 40 pounds. I’m on a 0.25 dose and haven’t had to go up yet. Losing 2-3 pounds per week. The only side effect is constipation and dry mouth right after the injection and only lasts for 10 minutes. No complaints. Love the product! My insurance refuses to cover it. The doctor filed appeals and they still refused to approve. Will continue to use it for a few months to get to my goal weight."

"I was at my heaviest in July, recovering from knee surgery-recovering from major abdominal surgery before ever being placed on Wegovy. I suffered with several issues due to increased weight gain, all the typical-some depression, never being able to lose more than 8 lbs., and then giving up. It's a struggle, and it was real. Prediabetic, having beginning stages of heart issues, orthopedically, beginning to have major issues with my joints and body. So many issues due to the increased weight gain from medicines and lifestyle. It was taking its toll. I started Wegovy in July (end of the month) at 279.8 pounds, my heaviest, and getting heavier every day. Today, February 11th-Injection day-and I weigh myself and keep track weekly on my phone. I'm at 238.4 pounds. I'm down 41.4 pounds and so proud of myself and my accomplishments. I'm at 1.0 shot and feeling well. I'm happier than ever, and I'm not looking back. I'm wearing clothes I never thought I would wear again. Feeling fantastic. This is the best thing to happen to me!!!"

"I started taking Wegovy 5 weeks ago. My starting weight was 74 kg, and I'm 67.9 kg. I've experienced great results, with limited side effects - mostly feeling nauseous, but it fades fairly quickly after the injection. I'll take it until I'm at my premenopausal weight, 62 kg. I highly recommend this drug for anyone 40 plus who's struggling to lose the belly fat. I'm currently on a 0.05 dose and don't feel the need to increase any further. My advice: start on a low dose, 0.25, and go from there. See a female doctor who specializes in women's health."
