"I am just 10 days in having been prescribed it in the NHS via Oviva. The run-in to receiving the meds has been really useful. I think success is dependent on coaching and mindset and lots of hints and tips via their app on how to get your balance of carbs, protein, and veg right. So far, minimal side effects at 0.25mg just a bit of nausea and headaches. First week, 4lb loss, which I am really pleased with. This is a two-year journey for me, so slow and steady is key I think."

"Love this drug. I’ve lost 34 lbs with very little side effects. You do have to watch what you eat, some foods, especially fried foods, make you feel horrible. I’ve been on it for 1 year, which is good because I lost slowly, not all at once. The longer you keep the weight off. You do have to change your eating habits. In the beginning, I had a lot of heartburn, but I took OTC medicine, and eventually, I no longer had this problem. I’m not a big water drinker, so I’m trying to drink more water to help with constipation. You also have to limit your alcohol intake, so 1 glass of wine at dinner, and that’s it."

"It definitely works. I have lost 15% of my weight in 8 months - almost all of it since January 2025. The side effects are really bad for me though. Stomach pain, vomiting for two days after an injection, and general nausea. I may have to stop or go down to 1%."

"I lost 25 lbs on a 0.25 Wegovy dose between February 25th and May 7th (about 10 weeks). I went from 178 lbs to 153 lbs. I am a male, 5'6''. I was already exercising for 45-50 minutes a day for 6 days a week, but I could not lose the weight. Wegovy helped me control my appetite mentally, resulting in fewer calorie intake, and boom, the weight started to come off. I also have fatty liver disease and have recently seen some studies showing promising results with this drug. I sometimes have mild bloating and stomach cramps, but not extreme."

"At 5'4" and weighing 176 pounds, in spite of exercising twice a day, I just could not kick-start weight loss. Started Wegovy on March 19 at the lowest dose (0.25 mg). Thus far, I have lost 11 pounds, slow is good! I continue to exercise, I just eat less with no snacking. Other than some dizziness, typically the day after an injection (now using 0.5 mg), and some afternoon fatigue at times, I have had no side effects! After reaching my goal weight of 135 pounds, I plan to taper off Wegovy. I so hope I can maintain the weight loss, I do not want to use the medication the rest of my life!"

"I have done very well with Wegovy. I am now on the highest dose. This is the 3rd week on the highest dose, and I have lost 25 lbs in 4 months, and I am still losing. I have had some common issues such as nausea, diarrhea in the first month, but that went away. Then in the 2nd month, I had minor stomach pain, and the diarrhea changed to constipation. I am still experiencing constipation but managing it with fiber. Other than these issues, I am happy with the medication, and I feel so much better!"

"I have had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease for 10 years. My first 5 years after diagnosis, my diet consisted of a very clean diet. Low sodium, 1000 mg per day, boneless chicken, salads, fruits, and vegetables. By year 6, after losing 20 pounds, my diet remained the same and I started gaining weight again. My last five years, I gained my 20 pounds back. I am closer to 50, do not drink alcohol, have been taking Wegovy now for 4 weeks, no symptoms or side effects. I still eat a very clean diet, I find I am full faster and for longer than in the past. I also stopped eating supper at 7:30 at night. I don’t wake up hungry in the morning and feel positive about my first 4 weeks. I also exercise by walking, take vitamin D3 and calcium, I have limited mobility for high-impact workouts because I have 8 herniated discs in my cervical spine, thoracic spine, and lumbar spine. My BMI is 35, I am 5’2” and weigh 197 pounds at the start."

"I started at 0.25 ml mid-January 2025. After one month and no side effects, I was down 16 pounds. Second month I titrated up to 0.5 ml. No side effects and lost an additional 8 pounds. Third month titrated up to 1 ml. Three days in, I have been experiencing explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea, sulfur burps, and mild stomach cramps. Trying to control it with Pepto-Bismol and Imodium offered only a brief half-day respite, and then the diarrhea was back with a vengeance. Still losing about 2 pounds per week, but only sticking to the BRAT diet, supplementing with saltines and oatmeal. Water and Gatorade are my main sources of fluids as I am trying to stay hydrated. Decided to speak with the doctor and seek blood work and stool sampling just to make sure nothing else is going on. Depending on what comes of this, I hope to keep continuing on with this medication as it has helped me tremendously with weight loss, lowered my A1C, and boosted my self-confidence with respect to how I look and feel."

"I started Wegovy in October at the lowest possible dosage and worked up to 1.7 by February. I had no side effects and very slowly lost weight, which I was fine with. I lost 35 pounds in six months. However, oddly enough, after five weeks at 1.7 with no side effects, I became quite ill. I started having the sulfur belches, followed by vomiting and severe diarrhea. I went to urgent care. They said it was a normal response and to take anti-diarrhea meds. I did. It got worse, to the point of diarrhea every 15-20 minutes. After six days of this, I went to the emergency room. They admitted me. I spent nine days in the hospital with severe dehydration, which caused my kidneys and pancreas to start shutting down. Docs felt I had a separate bacterial bug not caused by my shots. I was finally able to go home. My doctor had me start back at a safer .25 dose. I did, but immediately got sick again. I think I need to stop these meds, sadly, as they did originally help me, but I can’t go on this way."

"I am on my 10th dose of Wegovy now, and I have lost 9 kg already from 73 kg to 64 kg! I was struggling with my weight before and felt so much pain in my body. Now that I am on medication and have been losing weight, all that pain is gone. How amazing is that! My palpitations were gone too, and same with my cyst pain on the left ovary! It's been 3 months of using, and all I can say is it's working great for me! My workout routine is getting better too. Minimal side effects only, especially when I started using it for a few weeks, but it was manageable. Worth it!"

"No adverse side effects. Just took 8th injection and last at 0.5 mg. Next week, dosage goes to 1 mg. Down 16 pounds in 7 weeks. I was already taking Metamucil every morning, so no constipation as some have reported, but I am having less bowel movements now. I imagine I would be constipated without it. Also take Nexium daily, so heartburn really hasn't been an issue more than it already was. Started at 6 ft and 251 pounds. Was 235 today. Goal is between 180 and 200."

"The nausea wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard. I do get a little nauseous the first few days but still continue to work. The worst side effect I have is a rash/hives. Wakes me up in the middle of the night itching, and now I have it on my forehead and eyelids, swelling of the eyes, and again, some serious itching!"

"I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."
