For Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor started me on .50, and I started the first day. The next day, I had burping, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and back pain. It’s been a week, and I’m still sick. My doctor stopped me from using this medication. I can’t recommend it for other people to use Ozempic, it has terrible side effects."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Ozempic at 0.025 mg for two months, primarily relying on meal replacements for diabetes twice a day along with a small amount of cereal (Grape Nuts). During those two months, I lost 30 pounds. However, I experienced dizzy spells because I was also taking high blood pressure medication. Once I stopped the blood pressure medication, the dizziness went away. I then increased my Ozempic dosage to 0.050 mg, and that's when things took a turn for the worse. I started having sulfur burps (long and frequent belching), excessive gas, diarrhea, and if I overate cereal, I would vomit. Even if I didn't eat anything, I would still experience vomiting. I lowered the insulin dosage, and it improved. After a month, I was able to handle the 0.050 mg dosage. Later, I increased it to 1 mg. At this point, I wasn't losing weight anymore, but I experienced hunger pains and started eating other things. On and off, I would have episodes of diarrhea, belching, and gas. Additionally, I started experiencing pain under both sides of my ribs, bloating, belching, diarrhea, and gas. I had blood work done, which revealed that my thyroid levels were significantly off. I am scheduled for an ultrasound to examine my thyroid, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and GI tract, among others."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "First 4 weeks fine, but upping to 0.25 and then 0.5 was the worst experience. Horrible sulfa burps, indigestion, vomiting to the point water isn't tolerated. Stomach pains. Ended up in the hospital. Wanting to come off ASAP. Not worth it at all. Can't eat, in pain and vomiting. The burps and vomit are acid, it stinks, hurts, and burns. Not worth it for 7 kg lost."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started with 4 weeks of .25 mg injections and have now had two .5 injections. Was administering the injection at noon on Sundays. Each time, I'd start feeling queasy and burpy after about 24 hours. I'd feel like I was on the verge of throwing up, but for the most part would keep it down. Then on Monday of this week (after my 2nd .50 dose), like clockwork, I started feeling queasy. But this time it was a much stronger sensation, until the point that I projectile vomited about 5 times. After that was over, I felt better - UNTIL about 5 hours later, when the process repeated itself. I think it was likely due to the fact that I had some pizza and a cherry Coke that day, which was a stupid thing for me to do. So anyway, I hadn't eaten anything in 48 hours besides some cantaloupe, and now I'm experiencing mild nausea. I'm going to stick this Ozempic experience out for a while longer in the hope that eventually the side effects subside."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking Ozempic for 6 weeks. 4 weeks on .25 mg and 2 on .5 mg. It has been great at curbing my appetite and sugar cravings, and I have lost 5 kg. However, the diarrhea, vomiting, bloating, gas, and almost volcanic foul-smelling burping have made me decide not to continue. Being awake half the night with a gurgling stomach and having to sit up to burp and release the gas is not good for anyone. Back to my own devices from now on."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 6 months now. My weight has dropped from 134 kg to 102 kg, a loss of 32 kilograms. I was unwell for the first 2 months, but things settled after that. However, during the past month, I have started getting really bad nausea with some vomiting, diarrhea, and burping (sulfur taste). The doctor has dropped me back down to 0.5 mg dose to see if it improves. I do not take any other medication. HbA1 has gone from 7.1 down to 5.7. Blood glucose is in the 4.9 to 5.8 range. I must stress that for this to work, you have to watch what you are eating and do regular exercise."

For Type 2 Diabetes "After not being able to take Rybelsus due to the side effects, my doctor switched me to this. Started with 0.25. Did fine for 2 injections, so was bumped up to 0.50. Have had 2 injections and have been violently ill for 5 days both times. Diarrhea. Vomiting. Gas. Sulfur burps. I am lucky if I can keep water down. This is miserable. Doctor says it will stop, though it could take 3 months. Not sure it is worth it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am 20 years old and was diagnosed at age 17 with type 2 diabetes. My A1C started off not bad, I was pre-diabetic for a year and then progressed to diabetes. I’ve been on metformin for 4 years and am currently on 2500 mg. I got my A1C blood test back and it was high, so my doctor recommended Ozempic. I’ve been on it for 5 weeks and it was horrible. I was vomiting nearly every day, had terrible cramps, especially at night, so painful I couldn’t sleep, horrible, disgusting-smelling burps like eggs, and the nausea was horrendous. I haven’t had much of an appetite, sometimes the thought of food makes me feel sick. I’ve lost 6 kg in this time, but I’m not entirely sure it’s worth it. I’m currently on 0.25 mg at the moment and due for an increase to 0.50 mg. I’m not sure if I will stay on it. It’s incredibly hard to find supply as everyone wants it, and it kind of makes me mad that people are taking it off-label when there are genuine people with type 2 who need it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "The nausea side effect can be troublesome. Occurs every 2-3 months. Some vomiting. That ugly tasting burp. Thought it was over after about 6-9 months, but it has reappeared."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Was on .25 for 4 weeks now, as I have prediabetes, and I cannot tolerate it. The sulfur burping, the awful gas pains, vomiting, diarrhea. I cannot stand the sight of food. Not worth it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking it for over a month. No side effects for the first 2 weeks on the lower dose. Since I am using the higher dose now - I have had some very bad nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Also, lots of burping, and it smells terrible. When I have vomited - it is so much volume. More than any time in my life. It has reduced my appetite, but if I drink alcohol, it usually makes me physically sick."
