For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of my use of Ozempic. While taking it, I experienced some side effects such as unpleasant burps, occasional diarrhea (1-2 times per week), and temporary gastroparesis (which subsided after two months). However, the medication also had some positive effects, as my appetite decreased, and I lost 60 pounds since beginning the treatment. Unfortunately, it did take a toll on my wallet, and I eventually had to switch from my hospital/GP to getting it online by telehealth from Semalean. My son has also started taking it, and I would recommend it to anyone who is curious, but only if they are willing to see if the side effects apply to them. If they do not, and the treatment is affordable or covered by insurance, it can be truly amazing."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My first week, I felt tired and had no energy. Mild, intermittent nausea. Guess that's the appetite suppressant part. After the first 3 days, I started getting quite a bit of stomach discomfort and diarrhea. Anything I ate or drank went right through me, as well as gas. Also, an unusual amount of belching. Hope this goes away soon and does not happen after every dose. I teach 4-year-olds, and it greatly affected my ability to do my job. My BS numbers are not much different."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm on my 4th week, and so far, the only thing I've experienced is stomach discomfort and diarrhea. My stomach usually turns the day of and after the injection, and I have a few days of diarrhea. I must admit that spicy food may have contributed to it a few times. My appetite is light, and my 5th dose will be an increase in milligrams. So, I don't know if the higher dose will come with more side effects. I inject myself in my upper arm because I have less fat there, and I want to get the full effects of the medication."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was prescribed Ozempic because of type 2 diabetes, an overweight condition, and needing a quadruple bypass surgery. Ozempic immediately started my weight loss journey, I had a surgery wait time of 15 weeks. In that time, I lost close to 60 lbs. Post-surgery, I lost another 10 lbs. 2.5 years later, I am a happy 75-year-old male maintaining a weight of 45 to 49 lbs. My side effects are gastrointestinal, primarily. I cycle through constipation and diarrhea week by week. My appetite has been reduced, my energy has increased. I now take 0.75 mg weekly, my A1C last time was 6.4. For me, the benefit of taking Ozempic far outweighs the negatives of using the drug. This is just one person's experience, I assume that everyone has their own unique experience with this drug. For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started this medication last week on Tuesday. The first two days, I had a headache and a flu-like feeling. Throughout the week, I felt nausea almost daily, bouts of diarrhea, and bloated. Today is my second dose of 0.25, and I lost 4 pounds in 7 days (probably the fact that anytime I eat, my next bowel movement is diarrhea). I have felt a general unwellness for the last 7 days and am anxious about how this week will go, as I haven't been able to accomplish what I normally am able to. If this week gets worse and I start vomiting and being really unwell, then I will stop taking this medication. I definitely don't have the same appetite I did before, and my junk food craving has basically been vanquished, however. If the symptoms don't peter out or they get worse, I don't see the point, as it affects my son's life as well when I can't be the best mom I can be."

Now at age 34, after 3 C-sections, I was at the highest point of my weight, 81 kg at 5'3" height. I started Ozempic from 0.25 mg, and now I am in week 7 and taking a 1 mg dose. In 7 weeks, I have lost 15 lbs. I can't be more than happy. I had mild side effects here and there: nausea and diarrhea, but nothing I can't handle. It has cut my appetite by 90%. For Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 54-year-old overweight male who started taking Ozempic 3 months ago to help control my type 2 diabetes and to lower my A1C. For the first 3 weeks, I took a 0.25 dose weekly and felt okay. Some occasional stomach cramps and nausea. For the past 2 months, I have been taking a 0.50 dose, and side effects have gotten worse. Loss of appetite, stomach pains, feeling nauseous, and uncontrollable diarrhea while sleeping. Yes, that's right... I have been pooping the bed. On the plus side, I have lost over 20 lbs, but at quite a disgusting price to pay. Time to either quit taking this or try something else. I now understand the commercials where the people say 'O.' For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking Ozempic for 6 weeks. 4 weeks on .25 mg and 2 on .5 mg. It has been great at curbing my appetite and sugar cravings, and I have lost 5 kg. However, the diarrhea, vomiting, bloating, gas, and almost volcanic foul-smelling burping have made me decide not to continue. Being awake half the night with a gurgling stomach and having to sit up to burp and release the gas is not good for anyone. Back to my own devices from now on."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been using Ozempic for 12 weeks. Initial physical reactions were terrible, with diarrhea, burping, extreme bloating feeling, loss of appetite. It was terrible, as described by other reviewers. I ran to the washroom 20 times per day in the first 2 weeks at .25. It drained so much of my energy and day-to-day momentum. In two weeks, I lost 10 lbs due to loss of appetite and the diarrhea. At the same time, in 4 weeks, my blood sugar dropped from an average of 8.5 to only 6.2. In week 15 to date, I guess my body has adapted to Ozempic. In week 16, my dose was increased to 0.50. I also dropped one of my diabetes oral drugs. My bowel movements normalized to only 3 times a day. I still have a lack of appetite that I thought would be beneficial for me. For only once a week injection, I will continue having Ozempic."

Thereafter, the dose increased to 0.5 mg, and I have found that my glucose readings have stabilized to just below 7. I am now in my 7th week. I occasionally have a loose stool, perhaps once a month. My appetite has reduced a lot, and I have lost weight. I haven't weighed myself, but I would say about 6 kg. I feel good. I do need more sleep, and my body craves rest."

For Type 2 Diabetes "No side effects other than loss of appetite and feeling full faster and eating less on lower doses. Good BGL around 100. Once I started 1 mg, I got indigestion, nausea, gas, burping, loose stools, and watery stools. Blamed it on PPI meds for GERD symptoms but continues after I stopped PPI meds. I'm guessing the loose watery stools is the Ozempic at this point. I'm supposed to go to 2 mg weekly but I may not be able to handle it at that dose."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "It certainly helps to reduce appetite, almost making you anorexic. Side effects... the beginning with constipation was manageable, but the severe diarrhea is terrible. The heartburn also manageable. Using 1 mg after building up from 18 clicks to 32 clicks. Administering the subcutaneous injection is easy."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic in January 2022. First week, I had extreme diarrhea with blood and mucus (always constipated before this). Endocrinologist told me he didn’t think it was Ozempic, but I went off it. Diarrhea, etc., continued. Ended up having to get a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Endocrinologist wanted to put me back on Ozempic. We figured the diarrhea, etc., was just the colitis. Started it back up five weeks ago. No diarrhea, back to constipation, nauseous every day, extreme fatigue. Also now diagnosed with Retinal Vasculitis. But my inflammatory markers are high. Not sure if this all started because of Ozempic. Just increased to 0.5 mg today, so we will see. It just seems like an odd coincidence. No appetite, but no weight loss either. Hair loss, but could be from colitis."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Kept blood sugar normal but caused loose stools and loss of appetite. Also caused unexplained heartburn that wouldn't go away right away."
