"Used Phenergan (brand name) with good results for allergies, taken one tablet at bedtime. Deserve a five-star review from my personal experience, although my allergies are extreme. Relieved itching after my shower & had a mild sedative effect, allowing sleep. Unfortunately, I am now retired, can't afford cash to insist on the brand name & Promethazine is as taking another allergen in my sensitive system. Benadryl Dye-Free is an expensive OTC that helps, two at bedtime. When I can't find sleep, sleep does find me eventually lol. Phenergan was a pretty good alternative to my Atarax once it was no longer available. GBU all fighting the war on allergies. :)"
