"I selected to categorize as a med for MS, though I am usually given Prednisone for a plethora of other reasons including sinus infections, respiratory issues, and more. Though not specifically given for my MS, this medication has helped some of the symptoms of MS while helping with the issue I was prescribed Prednisone for. My two different neurologists absolutely refused to hear me (and my insurance) out and give Prednisone a chance, but after all those trips to the ER and urgent care as a result of the side effects and issues with Tecfidera (2016-18) and Ponvory (2021), I ended up with the facilities prescribing Prednisone to fight the inflammation caused. Currently, I just finished the most recent course of Prednisone (2025) for bronchitis and a sinus infection, and as a bonus, it helped calm a flare-up from MS. If this works for you, I’m happy for you because this med actually helps with symptoms for me even though the weight gain and upped blood sugar readings are a downside."
