For Bowel Preparation "Caused vomiting with the first half of dosage. On the second half had vomiting with blood, bright red. Was told to stop using it. Had to have an enema just before the colonoscopy. The day after the colonoscopy, my stomach is still nauseated."

For Bowel Preparation "This cleanse was actual living hell. The taste is horrible. I do suggest mixing it with Powerade or Gatorade, and it masks the flavor slightly. You feel so bloated and shaky, and it took forever to go to the bathroom. Up all night with the shakes and going to the bathroom. Also, it makes you gag, and don't be fooled because the first taste isn't that bad. Avoid this drug at all costs!!"

For Bowel Preparation "This is my first colonoscopy prep at 52 years old. Felt it was time with a few people around me with cancer. I better get in and get checked. After reading all the reviews, I wanted to add mine to the list for people like me who are anxious and scared. My heart rate was 130 when I started drinking the stuff. Listen, I have had a good experience thus far. Your diet and fluid intake make a HUGE difference. I made homemade soup: chicken bone broth, roast chicken, carrots, celery, onion, and squash. I ate that 3 days before my procedure. The day before, I ate NOTHING. Just had water. I drank 6 bottles of water, 16.9 oz. I fixed the drink 4 hours ahead of time and put it in the refrigerator. I used a straw and drank the liquid over 45 mins. I did not refill the same container. I drank another 16 oz of water in between sips. Started at 4:30 pm. By 5:15 pm, I had my first movement. No cramping. No nausea, no vomiting. You can do it! It’s not as bad as most make it out! Prep well."

For Bowel Preparation "I downed my first liter of MoviPrep nearly two hours ago. As most folk on here say, it tastes vile and has left me feeling nauseous. Within 10 mins of finishing the first liter, I experienced explosive diarrhea, which carried on for another hour, by which time I was just pooing water. So I suppose it has worked, but I'm now dreading the next liter, as the bloating is very painful. I hope the prep works okay for my colonoscopy, which I'm having late tomorrow morning."

For Bowel Preparation "I was supposed to take 2 liters of MoviPrep at 5 pm and another 2 liters at 8 pm. After taking 1.5 liters, I became unwell with severe nausea and vomiting. It was impossible for me to take any more as I was vomiting it all back up immediately. Unable to go ahead with colonoscopy as I was unable to take enough to clear my bowel. The taste was horrendous, very salty."

For Bowel Preparation "Do not use!!!! It tasted awful and a very bad experience. Got nauseous taking the first one and almost threw up. I took it at 5 pm and did not have a bowel movement until 4 am. I barely slept since I was worried about the delay it took. Took the second dose, again, it tasted very bad and I was barely able to drink. Finally, my bowels opened up! Did not finish until 8:15 am and left for my appointment at 8:45 am. This was also worrisome and frustrating that it took this long to work?! The night after the procedure, I could not sleep because I was still bloated and my belly hurt a bit. I would not recommend it even if you get it free like I did. It was my GI doctor's sample. Big mistake."

For Bowel Preparation "I was dreading taking this medication after reading some reviews about the taste, etc. Well, I can only speak for myself, but I found it fine, like slightly salty lemonade. I made it up about 30 mins before taking and chilled it in the fridge. As for effectiveness, well, within 30 mins I was making myself comfortable on the throne and am well and truly welded to the spot. At first, the movements were preceded by a short gurgle of the bowels, then all hell broke loose, and what I can only describe as a 'gush' of fluid came out. Initially, there were some solids, however, now just fluid, currently every 10 minutes. I am due to take the 2nd liter in the morning and will report back if I have a different experience. Took the 1st dose at 6 pm - drank in 15 mins."

For Bowel Preparation "My doctor prescribed an anti-nausea pill, which I took at 4:00 p.m.--one hour before prep. I took my first prep dose at 5 p.m. (the night before my colonoscopy). The flavor tastes nothing like mango--it was chalky, salty, and very sweet all at the same time. I used the straw method. Honestly, I thought I had a strong stomach, but even with the anti-nausea, I barely held it down. It was revolting. The first bowel movement arrived at exactly 5:45, and I was in and out of the bathroom (trying to finish the water chaser on time) for just over an hour and then slowed down. My color was already a yellow. I woke at 3:00 a.m. to take the next anti-nausea pill. The second prep dose started at 4:00 a.m., and again it took about 45 minutes to kick in. I was surprised that the color had regressed to stage 2, a dark brown. This round lasted about 1.5 hours, and I was ready. I had no cramps, although I have fibromyalgia and took a muscle relaxer. Doc gave me an A+ on prep and a clean bill of health."

For Bowel Preparation "This is not the nightmare many are making it out to be. No cramps or nausea. Tastes like a lime drink with a bit thicker texture. It is a bit salty, but that's to help you not get dehydrated when the show starts. Fast-acting and extremely effective. I may just make this a routine patio drink."

For Bowel Preparation "I was just finishing my last glass of part one, wondering how long 'til I'm hitting the bathroom. So I googled my inquiry, and this review site popped up. I must have read several reviews, belching away the bloatingness, and I read how the reviewers' stomach rumbled, and so mine began - I started after 7 pm, chugged the first three down pretty timely, just trying to avoid feeling nauseous. I can deal with bubble guts, but not vomit. The last one went kinda slow, but I finished, and a few sips of Gatorade, and I'm on the way. Not bad - this stuff is going to do the trick! The taste isn't that bad, just a salty version of lemon Gatorade. Not thick at all. If you have sensitive buds, it may be harder to finish, but take your time, keep it cold, and you are good to go - literally!"

For Bowel Preparation "I've been diagnosed with panic disorder and generalized anxiety, so I can tell you that I was petrified about taking Plenvu, but I needn't have worried. It tasted pretty grim (like salty sherbet gel water), but chilled and with a straw, it was easy enough to drink. I didn't feel nauseous or have any stomach pains following it. The toilet experience wasn't as bad as anticipated, and I didn't have any close calls, it felt urgent but not desperately so. I was able to relax on the sofa after about 1/2 an hour of it taking effect. For the second dose, the worst part was having to get up at 6 a.m. to take it. It was harder to drink, but with a glass of water to sip, I got it down. Again, no stomach pains or nausea followed and easy passing of liquid. By the time I left for the hospital, I wasn't afraid of leaking or anything, but I did use a sanitary pad just in case. My colon was clean as a whistle, so it works very well! I ate white low-fiber food for three days before, so that helps for sure!"

For Bowel Preparation "By far the most disgusting bowel prep I have taken (5 in all). The taste was horrible, even while plugging my nose. Try as I might, I could not choke down all of the second glass and wound up throwing up most of what I did drink. I will never take it again."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my first colonoscopy and hopefully my last. Plenvu is vile, had real bad problems getting it down, and keeping it down never tasted anything like this. I took dose 1 at 18:00 as instructed, within an hour I was on the toilet, had to drink dose 2 sitting on the toilet, and didn't come out until midnight. I will never take this again, and if I ever need another colonoscopy and Plenvu is all they will give me, then I'm afraid I will take my chances and go without the colonoscopy! NEVER AGAIN!"

For Bowel Preparation "I am currently on the loo! I took my first liter between 5 pm and 6:45 pm. I then started going to the toilet every 10 minutes or so. Dreading the second liter now... the taste is vile! It makes me queasy and lightheaded, but it’s doing the job it’s supposed to! Good luck, everyone..."

For Bowel Preparation "Took this for a colonoscopy prep. I have ulcerative colitis, I've had it for 17 years (I'm 22, will be 23 this month), so I'm a veteran when it comes to colonoscopies and bowel preps. I tried Plenvu once before when I was in high school. This time, at 22, was an absolute nightmare. The first dose was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. If I could vividly describe it, it would have to be: someone poured an expired, flat Fanta into a puddle in the back of a parking lot. And now you're drinking it. Struggled not to barf but managed to get through. Had many, many gallons of fluid and stuff pour out of me for the next 4 hours. Had to get up at 4 for the second dose - that dose was awful. It tasted slightly better. I literally held the solution down for 30 minutes before violently barfing it up. Today, after the colonoscopy, still diarrhea and bad, sharp cramps until 3 pm. Then at 5 am, I was woken up with severe cramps on top of constant diarrhea."

For Bowel Preparation "After reading some of these reviews, I was very worried about taking Plenvu, fully prepared to have the worst night of my life. Quite the opposite! The taste is really not bad at all. I took heed of the advice of others (use a straw and cold water), and it was totally fine. Bowel movements started within 30 minutes for me. Up and down to the bathroom, of course, but no pain, nausea, or other side effects. Super pain-free and straightforward. (Wet wipes helped!) I ate pretty lightly in the days leading up, which might've helped too. Good luck to everyone, you'll be fine :)"

For Bowel Preparation "I was prescribed MoviPrep for a colonoscopy, which I took last night at 6 PM. It tasted absolutely horrific, it tasted like Alka-Seltzer with lemon flavor. It is very salty, and it made me feel sick - I felt like I was going to vomit for an hour. It finally worked, and I felt a lot better this morning. I know I had to take it again, so I added ice to the solution and made it very cold, and it was a lot easier to drink and it didn’t taste as bad, it seems to be working. The key here is to make it very, very cold, and it does not taste as bad. Also, some people have mixed it with Crystal Light and found it to be more pleasant."

For Bowel Preparation "I took the first Plenvu dose 6 hours ago and have tried repeatedly to go to the bathroom. Nothing. Drank a bunch of fluids. I called the 24-hour help number on the box and the lady said it is very normal not to have to go with the first dose. I have to wake up at 6 am and take the next one... I hope it works... I literally feel no urge. I didn’t think the taste of the first one was all that bad. I just drank it like I would tequila, didn’t breathe through my nose, and sucked a lemon after. It made the nausea go right away."

For Bowel Preparation "I was prescribed GaviLyte-G with electrolytes for bowel prep before a colonoscopy. While it seems like it would be hard to chug down a gallon of laxative, it wasn't that bad. I mixed it up with the lemon flavor packet and put it in the fridge the morning before I was going to use it. That evening, I started drinking it. I simply poured 8 ounces in a cup and drank it every 15 minutes. The taste was not bad at all. It wasn't thick or gritty like some people have described. I had no nausea or cramps at all whatsoever. I just simply had diarrhea for most of the night. Side note: The colonoscopy procedure was a breeze as well. The only complication I may have had due to the prep was very high blood pressure at the time of the procedure, which I had to receive beta blockers in my IV for. My blood pressure was the highest I've ever seen it. (I also have hypertension and take 2 blood pressure medications. Maybe they weren't absorbed due to the prep.)"

For Bowel Preparation "MoviPrep didn't taste that bad. It was like a thicker version of Gatorade. Experienced some nausea, but once I started getting the bowel movements, the nausea subsided. Not fun, but it's not meant to be. MoviPrep does the job it's intended to do, and that's what matters."

For Bowel Preparation "I have to admit I was terrified to take this after reading the reviews. But, it actually was not as bad as I was thinking. The first dose was much more tolerable than the 2nd dose. Took 1st dose at 6 pm the day before my colonoscopy and the 2nd dose at midnight. I was able to get the first dose down in about 15 minutes and took an hour to have my first movement. Caused a lot of rumbling in my stomach but wasn't too bad. However, the 2nd dose took me about 40 minutes to get down and I wasn't quite sure I'd get it all down. But, I was determined so I made it happen. Sipped ginger ale in between sips of Plenvu for both doses. After the 2nd dose I felt very nauseous with a headache. Stomach rumbled a lot and used the bathroom several times during the night. Woke up at 6:30 for my procedure and felt pretty awful due to the severe dehydration and was extremely thirsty. My recommendations are to stay hydrated the day before and drink ginger ale with med. Other drinks did not help."

For Bowel Preparation "Easy to put this product in perspective if you've had lots of colonoscopies. Get them every 1-2 years since young adulthood. I have issues with the ones that contain vast amounts of liquid; not yummy either, and I have more nausea because too much liquid too fast. This product, by far the best I've used, also prefer to the OTC method. The smell is lemon, like lemon cleaning products. Don't sit smelling before; just drink it. It tastes of salty lemon Gatorade, so don't use lemon Gatorade as your extra liquid. With this stuff, I had fewer cramps, one of the easiest to take, and cleaned me out great. Side note makes the process easier and cleaner: stop eating seeded food (and nuts) another 24 hours before the diet starts; anything with seeds, including berries and certain veggies (carbs and protein are good)."

For Bowel Preparation "I used NuLYTELY in conjunction with a dose of mag citrate for a bowel prep for colonoscopy. Most people only share the bad. The hype is overrated. The truth is, it's a little uncomfortable, but it sure beats a stomach bug any day of the week! It worked for me quickly and effectively. I did struggle getting it down quickly and it doesn’t taste fabulous, but I was able to chug each 8 oz about every 30 minutes. I alternated chasing it with either Sprite or apple juice. I drank lots of Gatorade and water during prep. I took a few breaks to prevent nausea, which I did not get. The watery diarrhea is rough on the backside, so I used wipes and A&D ointment that helped a little bit. I finished about 2/3 of the bottle and was running clear in about 4 hours. (Your experience may differ)."

For Bowel Preparation "I'm a 29-year-old getting a colonoscopy done. I have had plenty of other preps to take, which was a lot to drink, never a pleasant taste. The Plenvu one is much less to drink, it tastes horrible. All I taste when I drink this is salt! Makes me gag and threw up after the first dose was done. The first one tastes like mango, the second dose tastes like fruit punch. I’m actually drinking the second dose now as I write this. It doesn’t get any better, the taste doesn’t linger around in your mouth. After taking the first dose, it started to work about an hour or two after. It took me about an hour to drink this! They need to come up with a pill that does the same job."

For Bowel Preparation "Just finished my seventh 8-ounce glass and threw up a lot. My gag reflex is so bad now, I can't drink the eighth glass. I need to finish the other half of the solution 6 hours prior to my colonoscopy. I'm crying. This stuff is horrible and disgusting. I gagged on the fourth, fifth, and sixth glasses too. I'm dreading the second half of the container. Nothing helps. I've had a colonoscopy before, and the prep wasn't this horrible. Do not let your doctor prescribe this."
