For Bowel Preparation "Had colonoscopy 10 days ago, 2 liters of MoviPrep didn’t work. It had a nice strong lemony flavor, took the first liter between 1 pm & 2 pm, plus a liter of water. No bowel movement, felt nauseous, headache, body hurt, dizziness, and couldn’t relax. Second between 5 pm & 6:30 pm with a liter of water. I was bloated, regurgitating, pain. No bowel movement by 11 pm, all fours position alleviated some pain. Hot herbal tea & 1/2 hour of meditation on the loo, slowly it began to happen. Not explosive or often, but up all night with wet wind. Procedure was at 1:40 pm & not cleared out enough. Second colonoscopy on Saturday, I have three liters of MoviPrep. Had low-fiber diet all week. I normally take laxatives nightly, which take a lot longer than it says on the box! My history is chronic slow transition & rectocele. Hopefully, this time it works."

For Bowel Preparation "I recently had a colonoscopy and was directed to take MoviPrep. If you are on antidepressants or have a very sensitive stomach, do not take this product. I drank only half a liter, and the effects were very negative. MoviPrep cleaned my stomach of everything, including the antidepressant I am taking (Celexa). My body went into withdrawal, and I had a huge panic attack. My doctor suggested I take Florastor to restore the good bacteria in my stomach, which allowed my body to once again absorb Celexa and allow it to take effect. After four days of taking Florastor, the panic attacks stopped and so did the nausea."

For Gastrointestinal Decontamination "2nd time using MoviPrep in 3 years. This time, headache and nausea, constantly. 1st round at 4:30 pm every 15 min. 8 oz. Second round 02:30 am every 15 min. 8 oz. I feel so sick, heart rate up. Dr. gave this to me and I have had kidney cancer in the past. Then I read it is NOT recommended for kidney issue patients. ??????? THEN WHY am I TAKING IT??"

For Bowel Preparation "I'm 25 and preparing for my first colonoscopy, not going to lie, I've heard horror stories about MoviPrep. So I came prepared with a sick bowl. I was told to drink the stuff in an hour, I don't even drink that much water in an hour. So I knew I was going to struggle. I've just finished my last glass, and it took me 1.5 hours to drink. The stuff doesn't taste bad, but I wouldn't exactly be jumping to try it again. It's manageable with sips of water in between. I'd say trust yourself, if you gag, take a small break. But honestly, the quicker you get it done, the less time you have to taste it. I've done my first liter, and before I even finished, I started to have my first movement. It's important to drink plenty of water because they really mean it when they say that the water involved in the MoviPrep doesn't count, because trust me, that's all going to come out again. Not as vile as I expected, and this is coming from someone who can be sick if they drink too much water at once."

For Bowel Preparation "The worst part was actually drinking the MoviPrep because it tastes salty, and I hate salty drinks. The toilet visits weren’t painful to me, just had minor cramping. I also felt a little nauseous, but I think it’s because of drinking the MoviPrep. I had the orange-flavored one, and it's definitely not masking the gross flavor."

For Bowel Preparation "Will never, ever, take this again. The doctor canceled my colonoscopy as MoviPrep didn't work well. I drank 4 liters of it (split into 2 doses) - tasted like thickened saltwater contaminated with lemon soap. Gagged so much but got 9/10ths of it down. Toilet trips after the first dose were loose. But after the 2nd dose, they were almost solid! Hence, the colonoscopy was aborted and I'll have to go through the process again (with a different lax!). Side effects - gagging, nausea, shivers, fatigue, weakness, poorly timed diarrhea (suffering now - 3 days later)."

For Bowel Preparation "It was horrible! I took it like it was prescribed and made it through 3/4 of the first bottle. I felt nauseous, so I relaxed in bed for a few, and then my legs stiffened and slowly started shaking uncontrollably! Then they would stop shaking suddenly. Then, 5-10 minutes later, they would start shaking again. I was terrified! This happened 6-7 times before my husband and I decided I needed to go to the ER. They continued on the way there and even at the hospital! It probably happened at least 15 times before they gave me Benadryl and IV fluids. Then, as I was leaving the ER, I started vomiting! There was no way I was going to finish the prep, and my appointment for testing was at 8:00 in the morning. I was on the toilet all night and nauseous. Luckily, I was cleaned out enough to go through with the test, but I will never use MoviPrep again! My legs are so sore and hard to walk on today, and it was so scary what I was going through!"

For Bowel Preparation "I had a horrible experience with this drug. For my previous colonoscopy, I had used Suprep with no issues - just one round completely prepped me, and I experienced no side effects. MoviPrep was an entirely different beast. The first round took three hours to even start working and lasted only thirty minutes. A couple of hours after finishing up the cleanse, I had horrible nausea. For three hours, I vomited every twenty minutes. I couldn't even keep water down. Unfortunately, this meant I was unable to complete my second prep, as every time I tried, I vomited it immediately. This was absolutely not due to the taste or disgust - though it does taste awful. Fortunately, my doctor was able to complete the procedure even with an incomplete prep. I will absolutely never use this prep again."

For Bowel Preparation "Why is this preparation so sickly sweet? I can't even stand half a teaspoon of sugar in a cup of tea, so this was way too sweet for me and had me gagging. I really struggled to finish it and only did by getting up in the early hours to drink the last half liter. I can't believe this can be the only suitable product on the market after all this time."

For Bowel Preparation "Prepping for a colonoscopy... Mixed powders with 1/4 of water recommended so as to dissolve, refrigerated, then added orange Gatorade. Used hard peppermint candy after each quarter-hour dose. First movement was within an hour of the end of the first dose. Began at 4 pm, with the 2nd doses beginning at 9:30 pm. Effective colon cleansing, but side effects were terrible. Massive migraine even though I took a preventative triptan, insomnia, diarrhea several times during the night and the next morning, and nausea. I will never use this product again!"

For Bowel Preparation "The drink obviously doesn't taste good, but I will say it's easy enough to do. I have quite a weak stomach, but it was fine. I washed it down with water and sucked on some boiled sweets, and it was easy enough. If I started to feel sick, I just stopped and gave it 20 minutes until I started to drink again. The experience wasn't too bad, no stomach cramps while the effects were taking place, just very urgent movements every 20 or so minutes. I will say I didn't go as much as I thought I would, the first dose I only went about 6 times, slept all night, and then the second dose was when it all happened. As soon as I woke up, I needed to go and basically went all day up until 30 minutes before my appointment, which wasn't fun but easy enough to manage. I did get told my bowel prep was excellent, so go easy on food for a few days before and take it as told, and you'll be fine! The colonoscopy was fine, a little uncomfortable, but no pain whatsoever, just a very weird sensation."

For Bowel Preparation "This is way too sweet. I was nauseated after the first 8 oz, and the nausea never went away. I much preferred the plain ol' Golytely they used to use."
