For Pain "I started Opana about 5 months ago. The withdrawals make you feel like you have the stomach bug and flu at the same time. Night sweats, every bone feels broken, stomach cramping, strange negative thoughts that aren't real. This medication didn't help at all with my disc herniation, gout, broken foot, sore tooth. First night, I wondered if I would make it through the night. I was on 40 mg twice a day, 12-hour ER. I wouldn't suggest this medication to anyone. It's hard to require medication assistance just to move, but it's even worse being on a medication that didn't help and caused the worst withdrawals of my life. It took 9 days to feel better! Good luck."

For Pain "I've been on oxymorphone for 10 years. My Dr. just put me on Opana 40 mg instead. It's been 3 days and I'm going through withdrawals. I have gastropathy, which slows down your digestive system. Seems my pain Dr. doesn't care. I had the test a couple of years ago that checks to see if you're on the right medications. It showed that the oxymorphone and Roxicodone were being processed and were the right medications for me. A couple of months ago, they wanted to put me on a morphine patch. And I said no. I think that he is being paid to write Opana scripts all of a sudden, which to me is BS! I hate the gel Opana, it doesn't digest properly. My insurance prefers generic because it's cheaper. I prefer it because it took care of my pain, whereas Opana doesn't."

For Pain "Find the use of these to be easy to take and has been very helpful to me. I have had no side effects, other than the 12 hours ends a little bit less than this! Have found that taking them at 12-hour intervals has not been quite right. I see that sometimes I have a little less than 12-hour help, and other times have gone 14 to 15 hours and been fine. Depends on digestion maybe. Urinalysis showed the rate in my body to be less sometimes and not sure why? Do know that while I was sick with the flu, I wasn't able to keep down these and did have side effects of withdrawals."
