For Nausea/Vomiting, Chemotherapy Induced "The brand Zofran worked perfectly. Generics (Mylan, Rising, Glenmark) began coming out 2 years later. These made me sicker and caused headaches. Zofran contains 0.03 mg of aspartame. Generics have 0.51 mg. Naturally, insurance won't cover Zofran. I'm just glad I got it when I first started chemo when I was sickest."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I had this in the hospital after a hysterectomy when I was vomiting from the anesthesia for 3 days afterward. It did absolutely nothing to stop my nausea. I was given it repeatedly, even though I told them it was completely ineffective. I had both shots and pills."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I get debilitating migraines that cause vomiting, and I have several GI issues. My doctor ordered Zofran pills to begin with, and they did nothing for me. Although I still feel a little nauseous at times, I can stop the vomiting with the Zofran ODT by putting it under my tongue."

For Nausea/Vomiting "First time I took it, I felt better almost instantly, it was truly crazy! The second time was the same, but the third time it didn't help as much. However, it helped some and has so far kept me a little less feeling like I'm gonna puke. Better than nothing."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I have taken Zofran for migraines and cyclical vomiting syndrome for nearly 2 decades. The last 8 years, I have taken it daily. It worked wonders for several years, however, my health has rapidly declined from chronic illness and a couple of autoimmune disorders. Now, when I take it, I throw up in a matter of minutes. I'm wondering if I'm reacting badly because I've taken it for so long? I think I'll talk to my doctor about stopping it for a while to see if it's causing me more trouble than it's worth. Overall, it worked wonders for me for 10-15 years. I'm deducting points for taste and possible long-term side effects."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I have been suffering with cyclic vomiting syndrome for around 5-6 years now, and Zofran is the only thing that works. My nausea and vomiting are so severe that I do need to take double the recommended dose, however, it does work. I have never had a single side effect from Zofran. I understand this drug might not work for some people, but for me, it is great!"

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was rxed the ODT for extreme nausea and vomiting, due to a norovirus. The minty flavor really drove me over the edge and only made matters worse. Then my doc gave me the regular tablets that you swallow with a tiny bit of water, but it didn't help at all either. I remember being awed by the knowledge that they give this med to sick cancer patients when it is so horribly ineffective. Evidently, it does work like gangbusters for some people, but I'm not one of them."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I am/was taking this medicine to combat nausea from post-chemo treatments, and I found that it did give me a headache, and I could not stand the taste it left in my mouth when the medicine disintegrated on my tongue."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I use this when I am driving and have nausea and was under doctor's instructions to take it twice a day until I was prescribed the scopolamine patch for nausea. Now, I just take it at the times I feel nauseated with the patch, which is not much. I like the dissolvable tablets because they are quicker than the pills to absorb, and I can just carry them with me in my purse, unlike the Phenergan suppositories, which have to be refrigerated or kept in a cooler when going somewhere."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Zofran is a miracle drug for me. I always have some on hand. I suffer from GERD, IBS, gastritis, malabsorption, endometriosis, and the list goes on. Nausea is a nagging symptom that I have often, and I vomit on a regular basis. Zofran has kept me out of the ER on many occasions due to severe vomiting. It also gets me through the occasional rounds of antibiotics as they really mess with my stomach. It does cause some pretty bad headaches when taken on a regular basis, but I will take a headache over vomiting any day. Could not recommend enough! It has been a total lifesaver!"

"I had hyperemesis gravidarum during my pregnancy, and Zofran was the only medication that allowed me to feel 'okay.' I was prescribed 8 mg ODT every 6 hours. This medication truly kept me and my child alive during that time. I also have had it prescribed for kidney infections and kidney stones. Side effects include severe constipation, and it can cause headaches. Benefits include not vomiting all over the place."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I take Zofran as part of my treatment for panic disorder that often causes nausea. This drug has never failed me. It always cures my nausea within an hour, and I've never thrown up while taking it. Only problem is it makes me constipated, and sometimes gives me a headache."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I've been traveling and taking Zofran. In the past, if I took Zofran once, it seemed to be okay. But after taking multiple doses these last few days of travel, I've been having nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle spasms, and numbness/tingling in my limbs. When I would feel a little off, I would take Zofran, not realizing that it was making things worse for me! I also looked up any possible drug interactions, and it appears that it has a major negative interaction with Zoloft (which I take!). It's ruined the first part of my trip, and I'm praying that I can start feeling better so I can enjoy the trip that I have dreamed about for decades now!"

For Nausea/Vomiting "Frequent migraines and cervicogenic headaches often make me extremely nauseous, which subsequently may cause me to vomit, not a good occurrence with massive headaches. I’ve also had intractable vomiting and received Zofran IV or suppository (effective but unpleasant). I’ve tried other anti-nausea medications to little effect. One dissolving tablet at the onset of pain-related nausea works extremely well for me. In over a decade of taking it (including while pregnant), I’ve had no side effects despite being on a number of medications."

For Nausea/Vomiting, Postoperative "I was prescribed this drug a few weeks back when I had an upper respiratory infection. The coughing fits got so bad they would make me throw up, and I had post-nasal drip, and the mucus made me feel sick to my stomach constantly. My Dr. gave me this to try because I couldn't really eat anything, and it works like a charm. 30 minutes after taking the ODT, I'm able to eat with no issues. I still have some left over from my URI, and I keep it on hand just in case. It's wonderful to have. I didn't have any side effects besides a slight headache, but it was completely worth it to finally be able to stomach some food and not have to get up 4 or 5 times a night feeling like I had to throw up."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I took ondansetron swallow pill at 4 mg, and it was starting to help. My physician increased the dose to 8 mg, but it was now a mouth-dissolving format and made my nausea far worse. Pharmacy says they can distribute 8 mg in the swallow pill form, but the doctor has to prescribe it in that format."
