"I had a horrible experience with methotrexate while using it to treat bullous. I was taking 15 mg once a week for 3 months. I passed out at work and ended up in the emergency room, where I found out that my red blood count and iron had dropped to dangerous levels, and I was severely anemic. I was admitted and had to be treated for months by a hematologist with infusions, etc. I had all types of tests and procedures, including an endoscopy, to make sure that I was not bleeding. In the end, it became clear that methotrexate was the cause! I know some people seem to benefit from this drug, but for me, it was like poison. The side effects were horrific!"
