For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Janumet 50/1000 for about 6 months. My blood sugar has gone from 320 to around 120, which is a huge improvement for me. It really explains why I was feeling so tired and grumpy all the time! In the beginning, there was some diarrhea and stomach problems. But I noticed when I kept my carbs and sugar low, they went away. I know it can be extremely difficult to watch what you're eating, especially when living and eating with others in your household. But you need to do this for yourself. You deserve to live as long and as healthy as possible. My blurry vision cleared up. My constant weight gain went away, in fact, I have lost 15 pounds since using this. And I feel more energized. Very happy with this product."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm taking 500/50 mg. I'm 24 years old, this is my 7th day with Janumet, and it has helped lower my sugar levels, but I have an upset stomach, and before I go to bed, I feel a little dizzy (my sugars are okay though). I'm going to keep on taking the pill for a few more weeks."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Just started this medication as prescribed by my doctor. It may work for some, but for myself just after one week, I have horrible side effects of upset stomach, nausea, severe muscle ache, and night sweats. I felt like I was doing chemotherapy all over again. Be very careful with this medication."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Janumet for 3 weeks. My glucose levels went from an average of 160 down to an average of 108 and going lower each day. I have never gone too low. I take two 50-500 mg tablets a day with food. I haven't experienced any major side effects. I had a mild stomach ache once or twice. I used a coupon to lower the cost to just $5. The coupon only works for 12 months, and you have to have insurance and not be using Medicare. After 12 months, I guess I will either be able to stop taking any medicine or will switch to something else."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I've had a real hard time taking metformin by itself. Started taking Janumet 50/1000 2x a day. It makes me soooo sick. I vomit and have bad stomach issues! I feel better not taking it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I had frequent intestinal distress (and I mean distress). Janumet is a combination of Januvia and Metformin. I switched to two pills, Januvia and Metformin ER. ER stands for extended release. It may cost more this way, but it eliminated the problem. Those of you with a similar problem should talk to their doctor. Most don't know that Janumet itself used the immediate release Metformin, which causes intestinal distress in many users."
