Mepolizumab "Nucala has definitely regulated my eosinophils. However, my asthma was still causing me discomfort. I ended up having to take Tezpire as well. My joint pain and back pain have been miserable. My strength and endurance are all but gone. I may have to change careers. Not sure what to do."

"My daughter has been on 3 shots of Nucala once a month, and it is working wonderfully. She did it as a clinical trial at her doctor's office, and now that it is approved, she receives the injections at her house, and her eosinophil numbers are perfect. She is an RN, so she has no problem with the injections, and her case is idiopathic (no known cause). The question remains as to whether they feel comfortable having a baby. Waiting for registry results."

Mepolizumab "I have been using it for 3 years. Before starting the medication, I was hospitalized at least 3 times a year. Since I started taking the medication, I have only been hospitalized once. At first, I was scared, but it helped."

"My 17-year-old got her 3 shots today. We don't know how soon we will see results, but she has back spasms and injection site pain. Anyone know how long it takes for the back pain to go?"

Mepolizumab "Just received my 3 shots (300 milligrams) and administered it at home. After working with my doctors. My eosinophils have gone down. But the tiredness, back pain, and headaches are horrible. Time will tell if this will be worth it. Totally off prednisone after years of taking it. Unfortunately, severe osteoporosis from the prednisone. Age 57."
