For Constipation "I hadn’t gone for about 7 days. Tried Miralax, suppositories, and an enema, but those didn’t do anything. Finally, my doctor told me to get this. I drank 3/4 of the bottle along with 8 oz of water. It took about 8 hrs before anything happened. I didn’t have diarrhea like others, but I did have a couple of initial BMs that were soft. My stomach has been gurgling off and on since the initial BMs, and I’ve used the bathroom a few more times, but it hasn’t been bad. Just happy to get some relief."

For Constipation "I've heard this stuff is the Liquid Plumber of the butt, but so far, I'm unimpressed. I felt mildly backed up, and my boyfriend recommended this to clear myself out. I drank a 10 oz bottle of the lemon (the taste wasn't bad - I will take this over cough syrup any day) at 10:30 p.m. Five hours and 2.5 bottles of water later, I've had a lot of stomach gurgling and bloating, and after straining because of no real urge to go, tiny squirts of liquified poop here and there. Farts thus far have been farts, and I remain skeptical."

For Constipation "This stuff is like your daily metabolism. If you eat rice daily, you will most likely have slow digestion, my stomach is Asian. So, most reviews say about 3+ hours, mine was 12 hours, and I ran to the toilet. My stomach was rumbling at various moments during the night, before and after sleep. I woke up with a mild cramp. Hours later, the magnesium citrate had created water and feces... bits of poop. Eat one meal that is chewed or even yogurt. I would not eat any other foods. Drink water for the other part of the day. [I drank 1 MC lemon bottle with juice]"

For Constipation "I wish very much I could give MC a glowing review like so many other reviewers. Unfortunately, I can't, as it's been hit or miss for me. I was given MC several years ago to clear me out before surgery. Back then, it worked, actually a little too well. I started going about 20 minutes after drinking the bottle (10 oz lemon-lime flavor, not too bad), and I was still having spells of poop water 48 hours later. This time is a different story. I'm in the middle of a bout with severe acute constipation and was given MC in the ER after my usual home remedies (Miralax, Senakot S, Fleet enemas) didn't work and I got desperate. It's been 8 hours since drinking the MC and nothing has happened except some tummy rumbling. So I'm still desperate :("

For Constipation "I have had some very hard stools the past few days, and I've been really uncomfortable. I got some MC this morning at Walmart for 98 cents after reading these reviews. I was scared to try it because so many people have said it tastes disgusting. Well, luckily for me, I'm a huge fan of sour stuff; it literally tastes like carbonated sour juice. Tastes great to me. ;) I noticed my stomach started bubbling, and I had to go. I'm still waiting for more results, but so far, so good."

For Constipation "After an alcohol binge that messed up my digestion for days, I tried 4 tbsp of milk of magnesium. It worked a bit, but after a day I still felt backed up. So I took a 10 oz bottle of magnesium citrate at 8:30pm. I downed it in about 15 mins. I immediately got nauseous, which lasted for about 2 hours. But I kept it down. In my 3rd hour, it hit me good, I was in the bathroom about 8-10 times between 11pm-2am. I was able to feel better, so I fell asleep. I woke up twice at 6am & 7am to another heavy explosion. When I got up at 10 am, I felt icky, not sick, but my insides were crawling. That lasted for a few hours, but subsided. Now it's 7 pm and still making me go a bit, causing stomach grumbling and gas. Overall, if you want guaranteed effectiveness, try this!"

For Constipation "I'm not sure why this works faster for some, but after a few days of no BM, I drank a full 10 oz bottle of mag cit at 5:30 p.m. and nothing happened until 3:50 a.m. (almost 10.5 hours later). No stomach cramping at all and very loose stool, but only once. Made me feel so much better! I will keep some in stock for the future!"

For Constipation "I've taken this before surgery and when backed up before. Right now, I'm having increasing lower abdominal pain for a couple of days now. I finally drank 1/2 a bottle about 9 pm. It's 10:42 pm, and I'm getting some gurgling, but nothing more. I hope this works because I'm in big pain. I have work at 4 am, so I'm concerned about my morning experience. Fingers crossed."

For Constipation "So I've been feeling constipated for the past 3 days, and yesterday I got magnesium citrate. It came in the mail, and I was thinking it was like any kind of laxative I have taken before. I got the grape flavor, I did drink the majority of the bottle at 3:14 pm, but the flavor was so sour and tart. At 8 pm, I felt my stomach turning and bubbling and felt cold a bit, so I went to the restroom, and oh man, I went so bad. I felt relieved, and when I cleaned up and was walking, and mind you, I was still drinking water, I couldn't stop going to the restroom just to pee and then go poop. I kept going to the restroom for about 7 times, I was able to shower and then went to the restroom before bedtime. Now, when I went to sleep and woke up at 9 am, I felt and heard my stomach bubbling again, and I had to go to the restroom. I was like, damn, hurry up and get out, but I never took this before, so it says it's in your system for 3 days, and I'm like, damn, I have work, but today I haven't gone to the bathroom yet."

For Constipation "I have struggled with IBS-C for 16 years. You name it, I’ve tried it. Probiotics, magnesium supplements, fish oil, B complex, MiraLAX, enemas, and stool softeners. This product worked, but I was so severely backed up for 4 1/2 days due to stress and taking Ativan that it caused extreme cramping, profuse sweating, gurgling, and such extreme bloating I looked 6 months pregnant, and it was extremely painful. Several times I considered going to the ER, but I stuck it out. It took 11 hours to kick in and work for me and my digestive tract. It was completely miserable, and I really only recommend it in dire straits situations. I am hoping to get back on track and not have to use this product again for a very long time."
