For Herpes Simplex, Suppression "It's been just over a year since finding out I had this... still haven't come to terms with saying the word! Herpes. I got it from my daughter's father, 7/8/15 the worst day of my life. Immediately, I knew something was wrong with my throat and mouth. It's only been within the past few months since finding out about this product. It is amazing!! Thankfully, no cold sores have formed around my mouth, my family doesn't even know I got it! When I start to feel the slightest tingle, I take 400-500 mg of L-Lysine at one time and I'm good the next morning! No cramps or side effects, I think my skin is even looking healthier!!"

Lysine for Herpes Simplex, Suppression "I have IBS with alternating diarrhea and constipation. I tried L-Lysine a few months ago but thought it increased diarrhea and abdominal cramps. Continuing to break out, I tried the Lysine again, routinely twice daily. Unfortunately, the diarrhea and abdominal cramps have returned, and I'm stopping the Lysine immediately."

For Herpes Simplex (HSV) "Began taking 500-1000 mg twice daily to suppress a recurrent sore/bump on the rear side of my palate. This increased greatly in recurrence due to immunosuppressive drugs for another condition. The lysine seemed to work for about a week, but now is possibly causing frequent stomach/gut pain and cramps. Might stop lysine and see if stomach cramps resolve, then resume dosing at a lower level, maybe 250 mg 2X daily. I skipped a dose or two to see what would happen, and the mouth sore came right back. But I'm not sure the stomach cramps are tolerable, since I already have Crohn's with a lengthy stricture..."
