For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq XR on Oct. 5, 2018, at 214 lbs. Today is Oct. 17, 2018, and I weighed in at 208 lbs. As far as side effects, I have experienced some dizziness first thing in the morning, slight headaches every now and then, but nothing major that I can't tolerate. I've only experienced nausea twice. Now that I am past the two-week mark, the side effects are becoming unnoticeable. My appetite has decreased dramatically. I also notice that the medicine wears off between 10 pm and 11 pm, which is when I should be asleep, but I'm somewhat of a night owl. Overall, as of now, I am happy with Belviq RX and will continue it and hope for great results. I will be back at my one month with another update!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been using Belviq for the last 3 weeks and have lost 9 pounds! I have been trying to start back on my exercise program, but when I get ready to start, something else comes up! When I first started taking the product, I did notice a few headaches here and there, I took some ibuprofen and it went away. I do sleep very well and notice I have a hard time staying awake at my job. I work nights, so that makes it even more difficult. I get up and walk around for a bit, which seems to help. I really haven't noticed anything severe, though. Don't give up once you start this product because it does get better after 2 weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 55 yr old woman, one year post-hysterectomy. I want to reduce to 140 lbs. I started Belviq on 3/8. I was nervous about side effects, so I tapered up to the dose over 4 days. I had a headache the first day of the full dose, remedied quickly with ibuprofen, and that was it. I notice I sleep soundly at night. I have no appetite at all, so I force myself to eat. I'm following a 1200-calorie diet, but I struggle to finish my small meals. I weighed 176 lb the first day. Today I weigh 170. Losing 6 lbs in 17 days, without any exercise is encouraging. My exercise room is almost set up, and when I add exercise to this plan, I can't imagine how much faster the weight will drop. I'm hoping to use Belviq 6 months or less."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took this for a couple of weeks, did see some improvement in appetite control, but had terrible pain in abdomen and urinary infections. Had to stop. Getting off of it was a little rough too, some depression and headaches."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for 60 days now and haven't had any success. I didn't need a weight loss pill until my doc prescribed me Zoloft, and I gained 15 lbs in two months. I looked and felt extremely bloated after being on Zoloft, so my doc prescribed Belviq. The first week I had horrible headaches, but the cravings were still there. After the first 30 days, I called my doc about feeling bloated. She prescribed me a water pill. Meanwhile, I had no weight loss on Belviq after the 30 days. After taking the water pill, I lost 7 lbs of water weight. I went back to the doc, and she said that I had lost 3 lbs on Belviq and I needed to continue taking it. It's my 60th day on Belviq, I've gained weight and still have cravings. Glad it worked for some people!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started Belviq 4 days ago. Other than chills in the evening (which I don't mind since I live in hot, muggy Florida). I get headaches that last for a very short time and go away. Dry mouth is constant, but drinking lots of water takes care of that. It is too early to know if weight loss will occur or when, but I do notice I forget to eat. That is always a plus. Good luck to everyone and to myself. I am excited to see what the future holds."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq for 7 weeks and have lost 17 lbs already! I have hypothyroidism, so I have been unable to lose weight despite trying (and sticking with) pretty much every weight loss diet or supplement available. Belviq was a last resort, and I am so glad I tried it. I did have some mild headaches the first few days, and my brain seemed to be on overdrive. I actually had trouble sleeping initially, although most reviewers say they slept better after trying Belviq. I am also doing the Fast Diet (5:2 diet) 2 non-consecutive days of the week, so I do think that helps. I had been doing the Fast Diet 4 months prior to starting Belviq, but only was losing about a 1/2 lb a week, so the Fast Diet is not very impressive on its own."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been off and on this medication this last time due to losing insurance and couldn't afford it. I got my insurance back and happily my insurance pays for it and only a copay of $10. Yes, the first few days I have a headache, so I slowly start taking it, then, once I'm used to it, I started them twice a day. I love this medicine. It curbs my appetite and the one month I have been using, I lost 5 lbs. I have to make myself eat sometimes. I have knee problems, and this has helped me to lose the weight since I can no longer work out like I used to."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Day 7, no weight loss but I'm only able to eat 1/2 of my usual serving. Headache, dry mouth, super sleepy. Not too bad, I still am able to get 12,000 steps in on my Fitbit, sleepy or not. I hope this pill works for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been steadily gaining weight over the last couple of years, and even more since my hysterectomy. My PCP decided to try me on Belviq to assist me in losing some of the weight I'd gained. I started taking 10 mg Belviq twice a day, 9 days ago. My weight before starting was 223 lbs. As of day 9, I am down to 217. I've always eaten pretty healthy foods, and I really don't exercise much. So I'd say Belviq is definitely helping!! The only side effects I've encountered were: 1. The first couple of days I had a very mild headache 2. It made me feel a little sleepier, but not too much. (I definitely sleep more soundly at night, which is always good.) 3. My appetite has certainly decreased, so I give myself smaller portions now. I'll update more later."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq 8 days ago. I did experience dizziness, headaches, and tiredness for the first few days, but now I'm back to normal and down 8.5 pounds! What's even better is that not only is my appetite gone, I also get full very quickly, so even when I'm not eating as healthy, I only get between 1/4 and 1/2 (if even), which means I still lose weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 2nd week (7/10/15). First week felt horrible - morning headaches, severe dry mouth... actually gained weight. At the beginning of the 2nd week - headaches gone but now have mild body aches... still with dry mouth but lost the initial weight plus 2 pounds!! I do not feel hungry at all... but it took about a week for it to kick in. The cost is prohibitive... I will not reorder. Even with insurance, I cannot afford $200.00 out-of-pocket. It DOES NOT give you energy like Phentermine... just makes you feel full. Oh, also, very constipating!!!!! I will finish the bottle - it is working for me. You have to be a 'responder' to this medication, and only 50% of people are (I didn't know that) see if you can get the first 15 days free."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, it is working very well. It is curbing my desire to reach for more than one portion at a time. It is allowing me to eat less and think twice about what I am consuming. The fatigue is present, but you have to consider the drop in food intake and the medication. I am doing the Atkins diet, taking supplements, and exercising when I am able to. Headaches disappeared after the first day. Definitely worth it for me. Print out the coupon, it will help to offset the expense of the medication."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I thought Belviq was the answer to my prayers. I was on it for a week, everything was going great, other than a headache the first few days, and then boom, urinary tract infection. So I got some antibiotics, stopped the Belviq to fully have time to heal. I restarted the Belviq several days later, and again urinary issues, severe ones such as bladder leakage, burning, pain, frequent urination. Terrible. I have been back off Belviq now for a day, and the symptoms have decreased tremendously. I hope they go away completely."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My starting weight was 252. Started taking Belviq. First month was maybe 7 lb loss, then the lbs started dropping. To date, I weigh 210, my goal is 180. I also cut out all white food, no fast food, soda, or candy. I also do 3 days at the gym. Went from a 52 men's suit to a 44 regular men's. The first week, I did have a headache and dizziness."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this medicine last month. At first, I lost a few pounds. However, the headache was incredibly bad. By week 2, I was wondering if I should continue. I read some reviews on here, and everyone said to keep going until day 14, so I pushed through. By day 14, I had gained 7 pounds, and my entire body ached, as well as my head still hurting. My mind felt fuzzy, and I overall felt horrible. I decided to stop taking the medicine. Good luck to everyone taking the pill. It was not for me. :("

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Belviq for a week now. Appetite has seriously changed. I basically eat because I know I have to eat. I have NOT suffered from headaches like I did the first 2-3 days. Have not yet weighed myself, but my starting weight was 187 lbs!! Will weigh when I finish my first month's med. I only was prescribed one per day, so I take it around noon, and it lasts me the entire day. I haven't been going to the gym yet, but will restart again next week. I definitely notice a change in how my clothes fit. I strongly recommend Belviq to EVERYBODY."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for a month now-no change in appetite at all, and I have gained weight. I am tired all the time and get awful headaches. How can I exercise and eat right if I am so tired I can't get out of bed? So far, a big waste of money."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was a vol cheerleader, but after four kids, I am way over my head at 5'7", 198 lbs. After much time, I have given up that diet and exercise can do it alone. So I gave in and am taking Belviq. Side effects: few, dry mouth, headache. Weight loss: gradual, about five pounds per month with my exercise and selective dieting. Total weight loss: 35 pounds, and feeling great. Try it as it costs $75.00 if your insurance does not cover it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for one week and have lost 4 lbs. I had a mild headache the very first day and felt a little lightheaded for 3 days, but nothing severe or that I couldn't handle. I just decided not to drive, but now at 1 week, I have no negative symptoms. It's definitely working, as I don't have hunger pains and have to look at the clock to make sure I do eat something. My doctor also gave me a menu to follow, and I just use it as a guideline. I don't feel like I miss out on anything! I will send an update."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started Belviq on Friday, Feb 26, 2016. Side effects are headache an hour after I take it in the morning, and tiredness throughout most of the day. Hopefully, this subsides, but I do feel as my hunger is being suppressed. I have to force myself to eat, but healthy. I'm going to keep at it a month and reevaluate when the script is due. I will weigh myself in 2 weeks to see what's happening. $77 without coupon. Next time I will have my doctor prescribe 60, then the coupon will cover. I will keep you updated."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took this in Dec 17-Feb 2018. I wasn't even 'dieting' and lost 14 lbs. I had mild side effects starting the medication: headache, dry mouth, loose stools, but after a couple of days it was gone and for the first time ever, I would get a feeling when eating that I'd had enough. I love carbs and sweets, and this reduced my cravings for them. I had a family emergency in March. Did not refill, and due to stress eating, I gained the weight back plus 15 lbs. I credit Belviq with helping me lose that weight without using Belviq. Belviq helped me look for subtle clues of satiety rather than just eating until I was full. I am 5'5" and at the start of the year went from 280 to 266."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 4'11", 188 lbs. I was given this prescription about 3 months ago: Belviq 10 mg, 2 x a day, and I just filled it yesterday. I used the coupon and paid $88.00, which was better than the $300.00. Today is my first day, and after the 2nd dose, I have a bad headache and some chills. I have been reading the reviews, and some noticed side effects went away after 3 days, so I am being optimistic. I haven't been hungry today, but I have made myself eat. I will post more in a week. Keep me in your prayers :-)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The drug works. I needed to exercise. Without exercise, I experience headaches and weird dreams. But when I get out and walk, I feel much, much better, and the weight comes off faster, too. I went from 265 lb down to 195 lb, and my enthusiasm for walking and finally hitting the gym increased. I lost all the cravings and especially the feeling that I'm hungry all the time. That helped me get started. Then eating very little each day and exercising is the key. HOWEVER, don't stop taking the drug cold turkey. I did that, and I turned lethargic, and my hunger and cravings for fast food, doughnuts, ice cream, and sugary drinks hit twice as hard, and I gained back 85 pounds. Now I have to start all over."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq XR in January 2017, had to stop for a month because I had a knee replacement and needed to take strong opioids, which don't mix, then went back on Belviq in March 2017. I have taken the drug for almost 5 months (two months a gap, then three months) and gotten over most of the side effects. The first two to three weeks both times were bad: extreme exhaustion and nausea, no headaches. Since then, I just get fatigued mid-afternoon and sleep about an hour more than pre-Belviq. I've lost about 25 lbs since I started, which is slow and steady, and plan to lose another 20 before I stop taking it. I do use the Belviq manufacturer coupon as my insurance does not cover the cost. The coupon cuts the cost in half. You can find the coupon on the Belviq website."
