For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq 2 and a half weeks ago, and I have already lost 17 pounds! I know that sounds like an unhealthy amount in such a short time, but I am sure to eat between 1200-1400 calories a day - I have just eliminated all processed foods and try to eat as much protein as possible. I have always enjoyed lifting weights and going to the gym, so I continue to do that 5 days a week. Now, my appetite is under control with Belviq, so I don't eat back all the calories I burned with exercise. As far as side effects, I did have a headache for the first two days. It makes my body feel tired, but not like a sleepy tired. I'm hoping that goes away soon, but it's not debilitating to the point I can't accomplish daily tasks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is my 2nd day on Belviq. I don't feel hungry. Last night, I ate some Mexican rice and plain pinto beans, feels like I overate. It was less than half a cup each. No headaches, but a big bowel movement. I feel good overall. Kelly61, I'm sure it will work, just give it time. As far as out-of-pocket payment, I paid $98.38. I do not have insurance. I'm being positive and thankful for this opportunity to be able to get help some way, and I think it was the right choice. I'm 5', weigh in at 200 lbs. I will update you all on my progress. I have a friend who doesn't exercise and in about 3 months lost close to 100 lbs. Just keep this in mind, it could be us. Honestly, it may take time, but it will happen. God bless everyone. Hope that was helpful."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So this Sunday will make exactly one month since I started Belviq, and I need to re-up on my script. This is the God's honest truth. I started at 211 pounds. The first week I was too tired to exercise, but I tried maybe 2 days that week. The 2nd week was much better, the tiredness was gone and I got over the headaches, so I was able to work out that entire week. Nothing hardcore, just walking at a steady pace. The 3rd week, I didn't do bad during the week, however, I stopped working out. My weight hit a plateau, and I was pissed, so I started working out again. I'M PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT I HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 18 POUNDS IN ONE MONTH!!! This medication requires not just eating better but exercise!!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 36-year-old female. I was overweight by 13 lbs. I know that's not a lot, but I was afraid of gaining even more weight. I was hungry all the time. I would eat a big meal at lunch and feel like I was starving an hour later. My doctor prescribed me Belviq 6 weeks ago, I've lost 20 lbs so far. I use my Gear Fit 2 to track my steps and water intake. I'm also using the S Health app on my phone to track my calories. I eat no more than 1200 calories per day. I only drink water. No alcohol, no soda, no coffee. The first day I took Belviq, I did have a headache, and I felt dizzy. By the next day, I felt normal again. I went on the Belviq website to download their coupon. I do not go through my insurance. I pay $75 per month. Well worth it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I mostly decided to try this med because of all the positive reviews on this site. I'm sorry to say it isn't working for me. I thought it was for a few days, but then it just kinda stopped. I had NO side effects save for a foggy brain/slight headache for 2 days. I wanted so badly for this to work. I'm going to take the rest of my 15-day supply, but at $200 per refill, I don't know that I'll continue. It either works and works really well or it doesn't work at all or the side effects are too much to continue. Good luck to everyone out there."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started two days ago. Definitely notice a change in my hunger big time. I was told to take two a day but only have needed one. Haven't weighed yet. But I have been having headaches (tolerable) and feeling tired. I hope that passes soon."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq 1 week ago. I am on the 14-day trial. I have only lost a pound or two, but have not really changed any eating habits. The past two days, my appetite has subsided a ton! I'm expecting a lot of weight loss this week. I had random headaches and dry mouth the first 4 days, but those sides have subsided."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started the pill, and the first day was super wacky and dizzy. After the 10th day, I discontinued. I had gained weight; had water weight but was dehydrated; had blurred vision; dizziness, headache, backache, and joint/muscle aches; couldn't complete a sentence; chills, shakiness, vivid dreams; couldn't drive; extreme fatigue and disassociation. I think I had serotonin syndrome. I was not successful on it, but the patient insert was helpful, and I realized I needed to get off of it. After stopping taking it, I started feeling better by the hour. Now, two days late, every symptom has gone away. I have about 40 lbs to lose. I am happy for those who found success with Belviq but wanted to post my experience for those who are having trouble."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "40-year-old male, 5'10, 235. Lost 37 lbs in 3 months. No real side effects except headache and a little dry mouth. No more Lipitor and no more cheesecake cravings. The wife likes the new slimmer guy. Just started exercise and looking to get to 175 lbs. Things are going well with more work to be done. This is a godsend for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Belviq and did get headaches and fatigue the first week, then it went away. I sleep so well when I take it at night and am not tired anymore with my first dose in the a.m. I have lost 16 pounds by drinking a lot of water and watching what I eat. I love this pill - I would never take anything for weight loss, but I will stay on this one to reach my goal. I was 192 lbs, 5'1'' on May 9th, and down to 173 on June 13th."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking 10 mg of Belviq 2x a day for 4 weeks. The first few days, I had headaches. They went away, and then the next, I had a ringing in my ears and loss of balance (can't say that is a side effect or a coincidence). They went away as well. I have had no side effects since then, other than fatigue and weight loss!! Belviq has made it easier for me to cut calories and not feel hungry. It has also made it easier for me to ignore people eating around me. I don't crave anything anymore. When I started on July 10th, I weighed 186 lbs, and now on August 5th, I weigh 172. 14 lbs and counting. Also, my insurance wouldn't cover it, but I got the manufacturer's coupon (which was really easy), and I use that and only pay $83.00. I say stick with it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Woman of Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage, 5'1" and 179 pounds. I wish I could say this was genetic, but I just always seemed to be famished and liked my sweets. I have seven months of experience and am 43 pounds lighter. I started with diet, but once the pounds came off, I got excited and started biking after the first month to speed things up. Side effects: few headaches, and I was tired initially. Now I sleep easily and don't get tempted by pretty much anything."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for 8 days now and have lost 6 pounds. I am using the Losing It app to log my food and track my calories, which makes it so easy. My goal is 1,200 calories a day, but sometimes I just can't work them all in. The first couple of days, I did have a small, nagging headache, but I am used to dealing with migraines, so it wasn't a big deal. The first week, there was some tiredness, but that seems to be leaving me now, and I seem to be getting more energy back. The discount card is a plus since it only costs $75.00 a month to fill. I am happy with the results so far and look forward to feeling better without the weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq 20 mg of XR once a day since May 21, 2019. Today is Oct. 27, 2019. My starting weight was 288 lbs. I am now 212. I've lost 76 lbs in 5 months. I am 72 years old. The headaches I had in the beginning are gone. I did see a dietitian when I first started the drug and have been on a 1,200 - 1,500 calorie diet since the beginning. I also walk a little each day and use dumbbells to keep from losing muscle. I am NEVER hungry. I have no cravings and sometimes I have to remind myself to eat. My target weight is 188 and with only 24 lbs to go, I should get there by Christmas. I highly recommend that you give this drug a try."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Belviq because I gained weight after my hysterectomy. A year later, I was diagnosed with heart issues. The doctors put me on so many meds. It was horrible! I noticed the heavier I got, the worse my heart got. I was never considered overweight, but any extra weight you do makes your heart work more. I saw a commercial on TV about this new medicine and asked my doctor about it. He said, 'I'm all for it!!' I'm happy to say that after 6 months, I lost 25 pounds. I'm no longer on any meds and feel great!! I felt bad the first 3 days (headaches, tiredness). I'm so glad that I stuck to it. It was the push my body needed!! I recommend this to anyone. What do you have to lose? I'm so thankful to my doctor for giving me this chance!!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq for 5 days. I'm taking it for thyroid-related weight gain. I'm 39, 5'2", and 30 lbs overweight - diet and exercise have not worked. The first few days were rough. Severe dizziness, headaches, etc. In general, I could barely function, mostly because of the dizziness. Now at day 5, I'm feeling much better, no headaches, dizziness is greatly improved, etc. I have lost 1 lb. in 5 days - this is impressive, as I was gaining 2 lbs weekly before Belviq. I don't have enough time on Belviq to give a real review, just wanted to say hang in there, the side effects will subside after a few days. Mine were bad, I wanted to stop taking it, luckily, I stuck it out. I'm very excited about what Belviq can help me accomplish!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "WARNING... NEVER STOP THIS MEDICATION COLD TURKEY. The side effects are extreme! I was on Belviq for 4 months and began having side effects of nausea, headaches, and overall just a weird feeling. I stopped the medication to see if that's what the cause was. A few days later, I had severe muscle tremors and spasms, loss of coordination, sweating, shivering, shaking, headaches, and a rapid heart rate. I thought I was having a stroke. Went to the ER. My blood pressure was 210/150! Unfortunately, every time I would have a withdrawal from this medication, I would experience these symptoms. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get this medication out of my body. I was confused a lot and had severe depression. I had all of the signs of serotonin syndrome."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq now for 46 days. My weight was 168, now I'm down to 154. My side effects are headaches (some days), and at times my upper body gets real hot! I gained weight from hypothyroidism. My normal weight is 142-145. I only take one pill a day. And it really crushes my appetite. But I do eat clean, and it doesn't take much to get me full. I'm satisfied with the pill. It's the only thing that helped me to get my weight back under control. It is very difficult to lose weight when you have thyroid problems."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Belviq for 5 days, and I'm down 2 pounds. My starting weight on Monday was 251, and now I am 247. I have cut back on eating due to not feeling hungry all the time, so that helps me count calories so I don't overeat. But I will say that you need to make sure that you eat breakfast in the morning. Don't forget to download MyFitness Pal to help. Side effects: I had a headache, drowsiness/dizziness the first day, but that seemed to wear off the first day or so. Good luck everyone, and I will keep you updated on my weight loss. Adding exercise this week every day!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been using Belviq for 3 days now, and I will admit I was afraid to start using Belviq because of the reviews I have read. Especially being a single parent with a 2-year-old, I wondered if this would be more stressful or if it would help. I do have slight issues with headaches, but it's not unbearable, and taking Tylenol takes the edge off. I've experienced both bursts of energy and a little drowsiness, again, nothing that's not bearable. Overall, I would say I like using Belviq. The fact of taking the medication makes you more aware of what needs to be done in order to be fit, but it really does curb the appetite. I take it with food, and so far, I've lost about a pound a day."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 57-year-old female and I've struggled with weight loss for many years. I hopped on the scale almost a month ago and was weighing 201.5, the most I've ever weighed in my entire life. Super tired all the time, knees hurting, just knew I had to lose weight. I had tried many diets, lost a little bit, gained a whole lot back, the yo-yo thing. So I asked my doctor to prescribe me something so I can lose weight. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, so she prescribed me Belviq 10 mg, one pill twice a day. I haven't even been on it a full month and have already lost 12 lb, and my appetite has dropped drastically. There were a few little side effects the first few days: dizziness, light headache, and the first couple of days I was nauseous, but nothing I couldn't deal with. So all in all, I give Belviq 8 stars."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 51-year-old female, 6'0" tall, and my weight has really ballooned in the last five years. I started on the trial, I wanted to make sure it would work for me before I spent a lot of money. I had headaches and body aches the first two days, and I am sticking to a high-protein diet as well. I have lost 13 lbs in the first two weeks! I am pretty good at dieting but have not been able to stick to anything for a long time. My food cravings are totally gone! I still have an occasional headache, but that is okay, I can't wait for a year to go by. I really feel like this is going to work!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "48-year-old guy, 6'1", 287 pounds, high BP, achy joints. I got overweight after I got married and tried to work more than I should. When I travel, that expense account was way too easy to eat too much. Started Belviq in July 2014 and now weigh 209 pounds. I got 15 more to go but feel good and healthy. My eating habits have changed as I eat more vegetables and less pasta. My exercise is riding the bike indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Glad to feel better, with the exception of a little headache, this works fine."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "As a former gastric bypass patient, I know all too well about the ongoing struggle to lose weight. I've suffered many complications from this surgery and actually regret having it done. I've gained roughly 60 lbs back of this original 130 I lost. After talking with my doctor, she recommended Belviq. I started taking Belviq on June 29, 2015. I weighed 240, and today I weigh 229.2. So that's a total loss of 11 lbs in 3 weeks. I've been walking and running and have completely cut out fruit juices and eating rice every day. I will warn you that I didn't take the pill for 2 days due to being out of town, and I experienced the worst nausea and headaches. I actually became dizzy in Walmart while shopping and had to sit down to gain my composure."
