For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've only taken Belviq for 3 days but have had wonderful results already! I've lost 5 lbs. My doctor started me out slowly taking it only in the mornings for the first 3 days just to ensure my body could tolerate it. Tonight I will also begin to take it in the evenings. I have had a bit of a dry mouth but I don't mind, I just need to drink more water. I did stop drinking soda, and cut back on some of my calories. Tomorrow I start at my gym, so it will be interesting to see if I lose more weight or gain muscle. I don't usually tolerate meds very well, so I'm really happy that this seems to be working for me so far. I'll post another update as I get further along. My insurance doesn't cover weight loss medicine, but the discount card helps."

This is the tool that goes with the exercise and eating good foods that is my key to success. Past efforts were always ruined by an epic hunger binges. Those are gone now. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Belviq for about a month now. I can't take anything with a stimulant in it, so Belviq was really the only option for me. I lost 5 pounds in the first week and then nothing the next. I was starting to get discouraged and then it started to work. I have fewer cravings and feel full sooner. I've lost about 13 pounds and can see the difference in my legs and abdomen. Primary side effects for me (some of which might have been caused by an increase in Metformin at the same time) were a slight headache in the first week (went away), mild diarrhea in the first week (also went away), dry mouth/eyes (already had an issue but got worse), and very tired in the evenings (falling asleep at 9:30 instead of 11:30) and in the mornings (but ok during the day)."

The dry mouth has caused me to drink more water which is good for anyone. I started at 214 and am already 210. My diet has been healthy, but I have not deprived myself of occasional splurges (e.g., birthday cake or an occasional cookie or glass of wine). I have also been walking several times a week. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Belviq about three months ago - April 2016, 10 mg twice a day. I went to the doctor two months later and had lost 15 lbs, from 266 to 251. Again, I went two weeks later and I was down to 246. I had some side effects such as fatigue and dry mouth, but I just drink more water. It does a great job of curbing my appetite, making me feel full on less food. It also seemed to change my taste buds. It doesn't agree at all with alcohol. This is the first drug that has helped me lose weight. This is important since I am on estrogen blockers due to breast cancer and had a hard time losing weight. I will continue on this medicine."

This medication is awesome. I have not changed my diet, I always ate pretty healthy. I have not started exercising yet. I am pretty active, I work a part-time retail job. When I'm working on the floor, I'm running around, but when I'm working in the office, I'm sitting. I own a photography business and go to school full-time.
