For ADHD "Vyvanse is amazing. Eat a lot of food in the morning with it or your brain will not operate properly with or without Vyvanse. I also eat flaxseed cereal in the morning and take an omega fish oil pill in the morning. No pill will cure my ADD, but it will help me tremendously when I eat proper brain foods with it. I have lost weight on it. I am a 26-year-old male, 6 ft 2 in, 184 lbs. Before Vyvanse, I weighed 204 lbs. It has only removed some of the fat from my body. It is a great medicine if you eat."

For ADHD "I have ADHD, OCD, and anxiety, and lisdexamfetamine really helped me stay focused (for hours at a time!), but I stopped taking it 6 months later. The side effects outweighed the issues it solved. It's quite literally borderline crack cocaine. Side effects: - extreme lack of appetite (it was so difficult to eat even with reminders, it felt like being permanently bored/uninterested in food) - constantly sweating even if you're cold (which resulted in always being dehydrated) - so much anxiety! It increases your heart rate, so if you think about something that gives you anxiety, it's almost impossible to calm down again. - extreme weight loss (I was 89 pounds - that's not healthy) - always feeling strung out (headaches, shakiness, weakness, fatigue, etc.). I started out on a 30mg dose and gradually decreased my dosage to 5mg, but the side effects were still extreme, so I just stopped taking it. This medication is great, it's just very hard on your body. Everyone will react differently."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I am a 19-year-old college student and just got prescribed Vyvanse about 2 days ago. When I take it, I mainly feel relaxed and sometimes excited. I've never been on any stimulant or ADD medication before. My main concern is losing weight on this medicine. I'm about 5'9" and weigh about 135 lbs. I eat a lot and I'm still fairly skinny. I've always worried about my weight, and the last thing I want is to get skinnier."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I was on Adderall for about 10 years. Then the doctor switched me to Vyvanse because the side effects were apparently less. Spent roughly 7 years on Vyvanse. The med works in the matter because it's a stimulant, but the side effects make your life much worse. I began isolating and began experiencing bipolar behaviors. I would drink alcohol to the point where I passed out because I couldn't sleep otherwise, and eventually became an opiate addict because it would actually take the edge off. I know that is probably not a very common result, but it is not unheard of. I felt like I was not in control of myself. Heart rate and blood pressure go up, weight goes down. Do not put children on this medicine. Finally, I stopped all ADHD meds when I got clean and actually learned how to use my ADHD to my advantage. I have a daughter. I am sure someone will want to diagnose her as ADHD at some point, but I will never ever let my children be put on stimulants."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "This worked amazingly with my son. Our biggest problem was he didn't want to eat and lost a lot of weight."
