Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I got new insurance that covered Vyvanse for ADHD. Originally on 15 mg Adderall IR and switched to 40 mg Vyvanse. Only took it for a few days, turned me into an emotionless, unproductive zombie. Dosage may have been too high, was too scared to lower it and instead I immediately went back to Adderall. Didn't work well for me but of course YMMV. Always experiment until you find the right med for you."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I just started Vyvanse today at 30 mg. I am very hopeful. It was just discovered that I may have ADHD. At 35 years old. I researched it and did questionnaires for my doctor and my parents provided my history throughout childhood to determine I do in fact have ADHD. This explains why I’ve been self-medicating with stimulant drugs and other drugs since I was 12 years old. I also have depression, anxiety, addiction issues, and borderline personality disorder. I take other medicines too. Leading up to now, I reached rock bottom with drug addiction leading to homelessness and three rehabilitation attempts. I am currently on disability and sleep all the time, possibly due to relying on stimulant drugs for years to function. I am so hopeful this is the medication I’ve needed my whole life. I am looking forward to seeing the benefits and finding the right dosage to move forward and have a healthy life. Get back to being able to function in day-to-day life."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I was previously taking Adderall IR 30 mg tabs, one tab twice daily. I switched to Vyvanse to give it a go, and it has done nothing but make me miserable. In fact, no other medicine has made me feel this way: lethargic, irritable, depressed, uncomplicated, bored, unsatisfied, hungrier than usual, and very different compared to my normal self. I will NEVER take this medication again. It is an absolute joke to be used as treatment for ADHD. Furthermore, I find it ironic it can also treat Binge Eating Disorder because it made me eat more than usual. My two cents - AVOID THIS MEDICATION AT ALL COSTS. A waste of time, money, energy, and life. Find a suitable alternative and spare yourself the misery this medication causes."

Lisdexamfetamine for ADHD "I’ve tried Vyvanse, and I would like a script for it. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist on 12/18, but I have a drug abuse history. I’ve tried it, and it made me feel depressed, but I’m going to try Concerta."

For ADHD "Not as good as Vyvanse, the brand name, but it is close. It helps me concentrate. I am less impulsive, more motivated, more focused, and less distracted. I get things done. It makes me less anxious and less depressed. It takes forever to kick in and start working (2-3 hours for me), and that is one of its downsides. I also think the 70mg max dose should be revised for really bad ADHD cases like mine."
