"I read about Tirosint and had so much hope because it doesn't contain the harmful fillers that other thyroid medications have. I also was told this would absorb much better. I have now been on it for 6 months, and I am switching back to Synthroid. Despite my dosage being bumped up 3 different times, I have been hypothyroid the entire 6 months. It could never get my TSH below 8. I feel terrible, and I gained 25 pounds even though I have a small frame and don't usually suffer from weight gain. Really wish this stuff worked. If this stuff works for you, keep taking it, because the ingredients are better. I have severe hypothyroidism (my TSH goes up to 400 if I'm not medicated), so I think that's why it didn't work in my case."

"How long am I going to lose my hair? I bought the brand, not generic. It’s not supposed to cause hair loss. I am on 50 mcg. Help!!"

"After experiencing horrific side effects from recalled NP thyroid, given mistakenly Nature Thyroid, Synthroid, and regular pill Tirosint. My endo figured Tirosint SOL might work for me. The whole 'less ingredients' sold me. I pushed through a total of 5 weeks with major heart palpitations, heat intolerance, left arm electrical-like pains, and increased anxiety attacks. I am now on antidepressants because of this. Finally, I put my foot down and decided that while this might be great for a big percentage, it just wasn't for me. Got back on Armour, we shall see how I do."
