For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "If I could give this drug a 0, I would. I have never had such a severe reaction in my life. It was so bad I ended up not only in the ER from the reaction, but also at the eye doctor's, as it caused my entire eye to turn bright red, swell, and lose vision temporarily in it. This medication also caused me severe joint pain, shoulder pain, and leg/severe calf pain."

For Pneumonia "I have pneumonia still after a 7-day supply of 750 mg of levofloxacin. This drug did nothing to help stop the pneumonia. All it did was give me bad side effects: muscle cramps and joint aches, even lower abdominal pains. The rapid heartbeats were the worst side effect. This drug may work for some folks, but it did nothing for me. I give it a 0 on a cure for pneumonia and a 10 rating for extreme side effects."

Levofloxacin for Pneumonia "Sure, it got rid of the pneumonia. But at what cost? Bad anxiety, terrible pain in knees and ankles. I was given Xanax to deal with the side effects of the Levaquin. Never taking this again."

For Bladder Infection "Well, I picked bladder, but the reason I am on it is for diverticulitis. I was given this medication while in the hospital. Two doses before sleep. After the first dose, the next day, I told them I felt like I had the flu. All my joints hurt badly. I had no idea why. Started pill form and had crazy nightmares. The next day, my left knee started hurting a lot. Lots of stumbling and weakness and just feeling lost in the head. Angry too. The next day, both knees started hurting about noon and continued to get worse to where I could hardly walk. The next day, my knees feel weird inside, but no pain until about noon. Hard to bend knees, can't get up. It got worse and worse. Today, I went to the doctor for my follow-up and told her about my knees. She felt them through my pants and said they feel okay but hurt so bad."
