"I have taken this medication now for about 3 weeks to help me sleep. The odd thing is I have woken up at odd times of the night, not being able to fall back asleep, which triggers my depression later on in the day if I do not get enough sleep. I found out I had anxiety and depression while I was on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have felt better since being on medication, but I am still waking up at odd times in the night!"

"I was on citalopram for depression for 10 years, and I felt that I am going through anxiety followed by depression again and again. Fed up with this disease, sometimes feeling like it is all too much. Again, I worried, can SSRI be restarted? Will I respond again? At times, clonazepam helps to relieve anxiety, not depression. Then, after going through literature, I started lamotrigine 100 mg twice daily. I had an intense rash on the 3rd day, but my mood was fully stabilized. I had vivid dreams too. I was thinking about how to get rid of the skin rash that covered my abdomen only. I have taken cetirizine, after which it subsided. Lamotrigine is a good mood stabilizer, and the doctor does not permit me to stop lamotrigine, but the skin rash is a problem, but it settled with antihistamines that I am on. Continuous lamotrigine 100 mg twice, cetirizine 8 mg a day. Days are going smoothly, but I am scared about how long this will work. I pray that some more good drugs should come without side effects."

"I took it for anxiety, depression, panic, DPDR, and seizure precaution after I had a single seizure related to another medication. For me, this medication was horrible! It made my anxiety and DPDR worse, I had panic attacks, insomnia, and I got the rash. My mom, however, takes this med for depression and seizures, and it works amazingly with little to no side effects. I know this is a good drug for some because I’ve seen it, but not for me."

"Been on lamotrigine for 8 years at a dose of 150 mg. Went to a new doctor and he said that dose isn’t therapeutic. At least 200-300 mg. I had my levels checked and they’re low. I’ll see how it goes."

"I’ve been putting off writing this review because I’m superstitious, but I must say this medication saved my life. I could not find a medication that worked. I must have tried 6 over a 2-year span. I began to suffer from insomnia, and the last medication before Lamictal made it worse. Eventually, I went into psychosis. I went through a horrific time but was eventually introduced to Lamictal (among others I take at night for sleep). I started at 25 mg, and within a week, I was myself again. I missed me! I’ve gone up slowly, and 3 years later, I’m on 137.5. No more panic attacks, the depression has lifted, and my anxiety is under control. I am finally functioning and thriving. Do not hesitate to try this med! Go up slowly to prevent side effects."
