Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "I have lactose intolerance and have used Lactaid for years. I get bloated and have a lot of gas. It makes me miserable and it’s embarrassing. I take 2 Lactaid chewables with my first bite of food and it works great! I either have NO symptoms or very little. I occasionally forget to take them and when I do it’s terrible so I know they help. I recommend them to people all the time."

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "In the 20 years I’ve been with my husband, he has never vomited once. He tried Lactaid to help curb other stomach issues with dairy. Used it twice and was fine. The third time he tried them before a slice of plain quesadilla and projectile vomited all over a hotel bathroom and was ill/sore for DAYS. We thought it was food poisoning until he tried them again and same thing, needed to vomit, gas, bloating, diarrhea. Horrible, these should come with a warning."

For Lactose Intolerance "Oh wow!!! Horrible! The gastroenterologist told us to get lactase dairy relief pills for our 13-year-old daughter. Three weeks later and she's been so much worse than ever. I started trying to figure out why she's vomiting and feeling constant nausea. Finally down to these lactase pills and I am so glad I found this site!!!!! We are stopping them today. Unfortunately, she already took some this morning, so we're going to have another bad sick day... :( The pains and vomiting are terrible... This is awful."

For Lactose Intolerance "I have never been so sick in my life after taking these. Took some a few nights ago, ended up violently vomiting for about an hour, just about went to the hospital. Tried this morning again because I wanted a cappuccino. BIG MISTAKE! Sick again! With chills this time as well! I will NEVER take this again!"

For Lactose Intolerance "Was recommended lactase tablets by a friend that seems incredibly lucky that they don't have side effects. I took one pill before having some ice cream and spent the next day with the worst stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea that I've ever had. It's now 6 days later, and I still have a slight stomach ache. This is awful, do not ever take these pills."

For Lactose Intolerance "Absolutely awful pill, do not take. Last time I took this, I threw up for hours on end and felt terrible-I thought I had food poisoning or a stomach bug. Turns out it is just these pills, and I'm currently fighting the awful side effects of this terrible pill."

For Lactose Intolerance "My fiancé is lactose intolerant and took this before a birthday party so he wouldn’t have an issue with whatever food was being served there. He has been vomiting for 4+ hours, as well as diarrhea. At first, we attributed it to alcohol, but we both ate/drank the same things, and I was fine. DO NOT take these pills! They are more hurtful than helpful!"

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "I have suffered (severe dyspepsia) from eating dairy since my early years in life. At a friend's recommendation, I tried Lactaid tablets. All I can say is this little pill has changed my life. For the first time in decades, I can enjoy cheese and ice cream. This little pill has given me the ability to enjoy foods that I never thought I would eat again in my lifetime. Thank you!"

For Lactose Intolerance "Like others, I wish I’d seen these comments earlier. I’m new to lactose intolerance, but nobody mentioned the treatment could be worse! So yeah, I had ALL the experiences above twice in the last week (have had a COVID test today as a result) & the only thing that lines up is the use of this drug to counteract dairy! Vomiting, diarrhea, chills, sweats, legs went out from under me, the works! Convinced I had food poisoning the first time, the second time (today) figured it HAD to be COVID… until I saw these comments. Thanks everyone for baring your souls & sharing your horrors so that I don’t feel alone ♥️"

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "I have been on the milk ever since it came out. It was a blessing for me because I am a milk drinker. I took the pills before the chewable, but when they came out, I was thrilled at how fast they worked, and they are good tasting, so what could be better? Not a thing. Thank you, and to whoever came up with the chewables. I would like the coupons."

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "I have become very sensitive to lactose. Although I only eat low-lactose food, such as cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and yogurt, it was causing severe gastric problems that were hard to pinpoint. After a few cheesy and yogurty days, I realized the association. Lactaid got me through those leftovers. Now I take Lactaid whenever eating food I don't prepare, and I am symptom-free. No negative side effects. I will use the little travel case when eating out. I won't be eating dairy like I was, but using Lactaid gives me assurance. After struggling for years, Lactaid is a sweet solution."

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "Works better than any other brand I've tried. Prefer the Fast Act to the original because it's just one or two pills instead of three or six for the same effect. Gave it 9/10 because my condition fluctuates and sometimes only one pill is not fully effective."

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "After realizing I was lactose intolerant, I started buying Lactaid. I take 1 before my coffee with creamer. I take 2 before eating anything that has cheese or a large amount of dairy, and I can finally enjoy some foods again. The key is to take the pill just before you eat or drink anything that's dairy. It will not work after you've already consumed the dairy, it has to be just before any dairy product enters your mouth! I keep a bottle in my kitchen, I keep packets in my purse, and I keep some in my car so that no matter where I go, I have them with me."

For Lactose Intolerance "I developed lactase intolerance late in my fifties and was heartbroken because I love cheese and other dairy products. Lactase has been life-changing for me. I can eat anything, even ice cream, without any ill effects at all. Not all dairy intolerance is due to lactase. Maybe that is why it doesn’t work for some."

Lactase for Lactose Intolerance "Took 2 chewable lactose tablets approximately 4 minutes prior to having sausage gravy with milk. Before I took my first bite of food, my abdomen was bloated with gas (we're talking 45-60 seconds of flatulence). This is worse than just having milk. Nausea accompanied, within another 8-10 minutes, and diarrhea within 30 minutes. I'd taken it before and it worked about half the time. One thing to note: I am on a carnivore diet for the past 4 years, so my gut biome is drastically different than what it used to be. Without taking Lactaid and staying away from milk products, I do not have gas ever. Nor do I get diarrhea. I am strict on this diet. I had no biscuits with this meal, only eggs and sausage gravy made with milk, but the symptoms started before my first bite of food and only after taking the medication. So there's an anecdotal correlation and only a possible causation. More studies should be done."

For Lactose Intolerance "After getting COVID, I noticed foods high in dairy would give me more diarrhea than usual, so my doctor suggested trying lactase. It helped a few times, and I thought all was well, until one night I was on the toilet for 3 hours. I thought it was just some unusually bad tacos, as it felt like food poisoning. The next day, same issue, I thought it was aftershocks or my milk had gone bad. About a week later, I was feeling better and took some with pizza, and it all happened AGAIN. Writing this from the bathroom. Wish I had done more research. I don't get how a simple enzyme can cause this, but I think my soul has left my body. AVOID."
