For Diabetes, Type 1 "My awful insurance company stopped covering Lantus on January first, with no warning to me. When I went to pick up Lantus, the pharmacist instead gave me Semglee, a totally unknown drug to me. I did not want to take Semglee. I have many food and drug allergies. I have waited a month to hear from the insurance if they will still allow me to get Lantus because of my allergic reaction concerns upon switching to Semglee. I finally ran out of Lantus today and tried Semglee. Redness and radiating soreness at the injection site, dizzy, feel faint. I took a reduced dose from my Lantus dose out of fear of a bad reaction. That was a good call. I am not taking this again. Will just use higher doses of Novolog without a supporting long-lasting insulin. Crappy insurance company changes my Lantus after 20 years of successful use. I hope they are happy with their extra money."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Injection site felt irritated. Blurred vision, feeling all the time dizzy and sleepy. All the time tiredness, and the worst part, I just started using it like days ago. That's not what I was expecting shifting to insulin from metformin."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Toujeo for almost a year. I have chronic health conditions and then got type 2 diabetes. The longer you have it, the harder it is to control. I have noticed new things that haven't gone away. One eye is blurry, sometimes both of them. I have convulsions in my body that drive me crazy. It's not fun to have your body jumping around. I have also been having cold sweats, dizziness, and headache. I am going to go back to Lantus. It took me a while to realize these symptoms were not normal for my other illnesses. But I am sure now."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on Toujeo for over 2 years, taking 80 units at bedtime. Like the other reviewer, djricci, the Toujeo has caused a rash to break out all over my body, especially on the lower legs and scalp. The overall constant itching is driving me nuts. Results have been so-so, I am lucky if sugar is below 200 in the AM. Have also experienced some of the side effects others have noted (blurry vision, weight gain, dizziness)."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "Moved from Levemir to Basaglar as my insurance, 'Discovery Medical Aid,' won't cover Levemir. Been using Basaglar for about 3 weeks now. It's been horrible so far. It appears to peak after 10 hours, so that made it unpredictable given how they say it should work. I halved the dose to counter the hypos, but now sugars are higher than usual any other time. I feel out of focus and dizzy. My chest feels 'fluish.' I am considering going back to Levemir and paying the large copayment."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "As with many others, experiencing headaches, anxiety, dizziness, feeling in mental limbo, tired, though some symptoms clear by afternoon or late day. My problem is that the endocrinologist I was seeing just since February quit at the same time he put me on Basaglar because Lantus was making me itch all over. I had side effects from all meds, so my family doctor sent me to him. Hope to see a regular doctor soon who also has diabetes. Maybe she can help? Only good note is that my points are down. Scary that someone checked the 'tube' on four or five and nothing came out. Sad to be a guinea pig or test subject. I'm older and only diagnosed in the last four years. Very disheartening to have this malady."
