Hydrocortisone topical for Eczema "This is my preventative cream. I put this on problem areas daily: under the boobs, under the fat folds, between the 'cheeks'... to prevent chafing and/or yeast infections that are provoked by sweat in the crevices. It is also my go-to for eczema outbreaks because it will usually 'nip it in the bud' if I am diligent about applying it. AND, if I use it on my legs after shaving them, it will help prevent a lot of the itching that occurs whenever my legs are touched in any way. May I just say, 'I really hate eczema.'"

Hydrocortisone topical for Hemorrhoids "Didn't do anything for me. Tried to work its way out before it completely dissolved. On day 4 of the treatment, I could no longer deal with the increased burning, pain, and itching that I experienced. Also had some change in my BMs while on these suppositories, with increased need to go, therefore increased wiping and increased irritation. Seemed to do the opposite of what it was supposed to do."

Hydrocortisone topical for Hemorrhoids "Needed to use the remaining suppositories, due to itching and minor bleeding from hard stool. Noticed blood sugar rising about 40 pts now that I stopped using it, condition somewhat better, and sugars are lower."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Review is for hydrocortisone 1% ointment only. Target Up & Up brand, 2 oz, $6. Ointments are more potent than cream versions, especially if you use some kind of dressing or salicylic acid (I never tried both). I used this on my body, but it has a significant effect on my ear dermatitis, cleared up the flakiness and dryness. But doesn't stop the itching, though. This ointment is extremely greasy because of the petroleum."

For Hemorrhoids "My doctor prescribed me hydrocortisone suppositories 25 mg for my hemorrhoids. After taking 1 suppository for 3 days, instead of it getting better, I could no longer even get another up in me. I had swollen so much, and my anus itched, and I was bleeding terribly for about 5 days, with light diarrhea, until I finally gave in and went to see my doctor again. We talked, I disagreed to do the surgery, she gave me some PH cream. Today, almost 2 weeks from my last suppository given, I pooped a lot, and there were clumps of what looked like white pencil in my poop. It was undissolved suppositories. I feel so much better now and much lighter feeling after 3 bowel movements. I will never take a suppository again."

For Hemorrhoids "It made my hemorrhoids itch so bad it was unbearable. Tucks work good, though. No hydrocortisone for me down there!!!"

Hydrocortisone topical for Hemorrhoids "My doctor prescribed this when I had a pretty bad hemorrhoid flare-up. It was supposed to shrink the tissue. Little did I know that this caused me extreme swelling, redness, and horrible itchiness all over my genitalia after only one application on my hemorrhoids. I contacted the doctor asking if this could be an allergic reaction, but she said it was likely from the sitz baths I had been taking with Epsom salts, so I continued using it for about 6 days, and my symptoms got progressively worse! I will never use a steroid/hydrocortisone in my life again. After finding out about all the side effects, what good of use is this!?"
