For Pain "I'm an amputee and also suffer from hip and back pain I have been in pain management since 2010 and have tried a few different pain meds with very little success till Zohydro was approved by the FDA. I am prescribed 2 50mg Zohydro and as breakthrough pain management I take Oxicodone 15mg 6 times daily and my quality of life has been wonderful I'm 48 a single father of a 4yr old son and have been looking after him since he was 1 year old. Yes at times it's a struggle, before Zohydro just changing diapers was excruciating, much less lifting and holding him. Since it's approval our time together has been the greatest gift ever given to me. I am able to play, take him to the park and be the parent I was before my illness that took my leg and aggravated my other conditions. Zohydro has been great my only issue is the half life is short of the 12hrs"

For Pain "Since most pain management docs (PMD) are feeling heat from DEA due to the campaign against opioids, most PMD's are turning to AD formulations to cover their ass. Previous ER formulations provided me with very little relief. Zohydro ER is the exception. It's overall very effective, and releases very evenly over 7 to 9 hours. Been on it close to a year now, and it still works really well."

For Pain "I've been on Zohydro ER 50 mg for 2 years now. It works excellent for managing my chronic pain, I don't get 100% relief but I get more relief than I have with other medications. I don't get the High feeling as I felt with other opiates such as Fentanyl , Oxycontin, Opana Morphine. I can remain focused on Zohydro ER. This drug does not have Tylenol mixed with it. I am very happy with my Zohydro ER. I need to take it 3 times a day as it only lasts for about 7 hours before the pain starts to kick back in. The medications ridiculously expensive but I have no choice but to pay if I want to continue getting out of bed every day."

For Pain "I was on Hydrocodone 7.5/500 for my back. Then suffered a head injury in 2013. I was hospitalized for 10 days where they gave me Morphine, Norco, Dilaudid, and Fentynyl. When I got out - I went on Oxycodone. One and a half years later - I wanted out. I white knuckled a harsh withdrawal. But the pain was more spread, and frequent from the injury. I went on Zohydro ER 15 mg, but sometimes needed to take two - it was too much. I dropped to 10Mg - but the insurance doesn't like paying for 120 caps when they can pay for 60 - so I moved to 20 Mg. My favorite part of Zohydro ER is, I think because of the way it is dispersed, I have never suffered any withdrawal symptoms from it when I stop for a couple days. I swear by it. It doesn't completely get rid of my pain, but it alleviates it enough so that I can enjoy some life. Grant you, a higher dosage might get rid of the pain, but I choose not to go that route due to past experience. I do not know that the higher dosage can guarantee me mo withdrawal effects like now."

For Pain "I never received much relief from Hydrocodone. Then along came Zohydro - was quite skeptical at first due to the fact I had quite a high tolerance to oxy, but have actually been quite pleased. It's for sure a few steps down from the oxy I was on but, as has already been mentioned, it's not a roller coaster ride you get with a lot of other pain meds. Only sides thus far have been dehydration, fatigue, and very vivid dreams - I wake up really freaked out by how real they seem at times? At first I thought it was due to other things I was taking but have since ruled them out, so it's definitely the Zohydro. Now I wait until I am totally awake before I take my first dose. I do believe that 12 hours of relief is a bit of a stretch and that 9 hours is closer to the length of relief it provides and I'm on the 50's. Do highly recommend."

For Pain "Medicine is reasonably effective after 3 weeks. Some breakthrough pain requires additional medicine. I wake in the morning without high levels of pain due to ER."

For Pain "I have been taking Hydrocodone for over 18 years due to a lower back injury(bulging lower disc),wear & tear from 25 years of Factory Work & Fibromyalgia (associated with those 25 years.) I'm 62 retired & still very physically active. After 2 hours of medium heavy lifting, pushing or pulling I feel like a truck has ran me over..head to toe.I have taken many pain medications...Oxycontin, Vicodin, Morphine, Tramadol(poison!) Lyrica(poison!),etc After many years what finally worked best was 6 7.5/200 Vicoprofen a DAY + a Fentanyl 25mcg patch every 3 DAYS.After 2 years my Doctor switched me to Zohydro. I said sure. After just ONE DAY I'm feeling GREAT! I take two 30MG Zohydos a DAY + Vicoprofen for break thru. I have only taken three 7.5 pills today! WORKS"

For Pain "Won't go into details, but horrible chronic back pain. Very happy with Zohydro. I tried a bunch and it's by far the best. Only problem is that it's not easy to find. Hope they fix that soon."

For Pain "My pain Dr started me on 10mg x 2 per day after a few years on 7.5 hydros 4+x per day. After the 1st week, and some withdrawal symptoms, they give no relief. Maybe Dr started me too low mg and see him next day. I hope he ups mg to at least 15 and 20 probably will be better. He said he can add the old hydro for breakthrough pain but at this point I feel at least two 7.5mg per day and that's only 2 less than before. He should go to 20mg 2x per as I have a bad spine from head to tail, facet arthritis, Spinal stenosis, Spondylolisthesis, deteriorating disk and spinal neuropathy....I'm through...I covered them all!!"

For Pain "I've been on this medication for about 4 months now and I can honestly say it has helped in giving me my life back. I have stage IV Endometriosis, a bulging disc that's pressing on nerves in my L4-L5, sciatica, and cervical pain. Before this medication I was on Nucyneta ER which was crap. I now go to a great pain doctor who promised me that I will get my life back and they have kept their promise. I take Zohydro 15mg 2x per day and Narco 750 for breakthrough, and flexeril at night. I am now able to sleep at night and make it through the days mostly. I pay $15 copay because of a prescription card and insurance. My insurance denied it at firs but my doctor advocated for me to them and they now cover it. I hope this helps someone."

For Pain "I have been taking the Zohydro 50 for about 8 months now. I started off with the Hyslinga 80 mg but it was not lasting the full 24 hours so my Pain Dr. put me on the Zohydro 50mg twice a day. For the most part it has worked well... I loved the fact that I did not have to take 6 pills a day to try to manage my pain.. And I will say the Zohydro worked a lot better that taking all those pills. My last appointment I got my prescriptions and took to the pharmacy only to find out that my insurance company... Blue Cross/Blue Shield... Yes I am blasting them... Ended up having to go back on the Hydrocodone 10mg 6 times a day and it is NOT working... In CONSTANT Pain... So upset about this!!!"

For Pain "This is the only drug that works for me. It lasts longer than Vicodin HP 10/300s and there are no ups and downs, just constant pain relief with no noticeable side effects (I've been taking pain meds for years, though). It's a miracle for me! I am using the new formulation and it does work, but I have to take it 3 times a day since they only last 7 hours, not the 12 it says it should. I have one dose of short-acting for breakthrough pain every day. I'm using the discount program and it is still a high price, I'm worried about affording it! :("

For Pain "This medication works very well and I've had no side effects that I wasn't already having by taking Norco. It's very effective and keeps my pain from getting too high so I don't require a lot of other pills to bring my pain level down. The only thing I don't like is that my insurance declined my coverage stating they didn't feel it was needed. How my INSURANCE can determine that is crazy. My doctor prescribed it for a reason. Love this medication. I'm able to function and work and am never sleepy at work."

For Pain "I have taken many different pain relievers since a gunshot wound in 1995...OxyContin, Morphine, Dilaudid, Fentanyl, and Norco. I have finally found one that works perfectly for me. Zohydro ER 40 mg, with Norco 10mg for breakthrough gives me excellent pain relief. Although the Zohydro DOES NOT last for the entire 12 hrs, the Norco steps right in there and does the job. I am able to work, eat, drive, and sleep. I wouldn't trade it for the others I have taken because their positives do not outweigh their negatives as with the Zo's. I started on the Zo ER 15 mg about 2 yrs ago, and have gradually been upgraded to 40 mgs. I'm satisfied, so no need for 50 mg as from now."

For Pain "I had a bad car wreck in 2011, caused chronic back pain. I have had 5 surgeries which ended up putting in a spinal cord stimulator. That helps with nerve pain, but not back pain so much. I eventually was put on Zohydro 40mg about 1 year ago. He first tried 30mg, but upped it after a month or so to be covered better. It has been a wonderful medicine to help me have a productive life. I still use (3) norco 5mg/325mg for break through pain a day. Looking at possibly moving to Zohydro 50mg next month as pain has slowly increased more lately. But all in all, it has been a great drug and has helped me live a productive life with chronic pain. The SCS also has helped tremendously. It is very expensive before meeting my deductable ($500)"

For Pain "I just started taking Zohydro ER 15mg 2 X's per/day. I've gotta say, so far it seems to be working pretty well. I have had two very significant car wrecks since 2004.The second wreck was in 2012 and was pretty much a career ender. I have been taking Norco, various doses (usually 7.5/325 and 10/325) "off & on," for approximately 12 years. I know, a long time, Right?! That said, I believe, speaking only for myself, that I am pretty aware of the effects, and feelings, of hydrocodone. That once warm, euphoric, feeling is long gone; but now the euphoria comes from an greatly improved quality of life, rather than the drug itself.... I probably need to increase to 40mg doses. But Zohydro is "Spot On." Terrific for long acting relief."

For Pain "When I first started taking it, I thought it was great. I took the 20's twice a day with 10 mg hydro for breakthrough. I have been on it a year and my doctor said I needed the 30 mg but he is closing his practice and won't change any prescriptions before he goes. He said I needed the 30s about a year ago but then wouldn't make the change. I took myself off of them. They only gave me about 3 hours of relief after taking 2 hours to be effective. So now I am looking for a new doctor who will just give me 30mg of hydrocodone a day. That's all I need."

For Pain "My pain doctor put me on Zohydro after I tried Hysingla (worked great for a couple weeks, then only lasted about 8-12 hours - which can't work for a once every 24 hour medicine) and after I had been on Percocet and Hydrocodone at varying dosages and frequencies. Ive had chronic back pain for 5+ years. I'm so glad I got to try this medicine, it has changed my life. It's very expensive ($300+ per prescription before meeting my deductible), but it's totally worth it in my mind. It doesn't give you the annoying "high" that you get from short acting pain medication, no fuzzy thoughts, no exhaustion. Medicine usually lasts the prescribed 12 hours and takes about 50-80% pain level away."

For Pain "Hello all. I am a chronic pain sufferer, and am allergic to most pain medications. Zohydro 40mg er works wonders for me. I take it twice per day, with one 10mg hydrocodone for breakthrough pain relief. My situation is so serious, that at times, I've wanted to die. The pain is just that bad, but now I'm getting relief~ it sort if let's levels it off, and my ability to function without the constant thought of hurting is greater. It's an absolute pain reliever."

For Pain "I was switched from Norco 5mg 4 times daily to Zyhydro ER 10mg 2times daily with Norco 5mg 2 times daily for break through pain. I tore my ACL several years ago and decided to finally have surgery. It has been many years of restless, painful nights of trying to sleep. Since starting the zohydro my knee no longer has that constant ache that doesn't go away. I can walk on my knee, and do hours of activity with out my knee being in pain. I have been on zohydro for about 3 months. My next visit we will be doing an increase, which hopefully will mean less break through pain medication. Zohydro ER does work for chronic pain. Very grateful for this medication!!"

For Pain "My doctor prescribed 10mg once or twice a day to address some nasty sciatic pain. Maybe the dosage is low, but it really had no discernible effect on the pain after several days usage. I don't want another expensive shot to deal with it either. I have had two, and they only provided about one week of relief, while costing me plenty even with insurance."

For Pain "It takes about 2 hours to start working, so it's definitely a long-acting medication. It says it lasts for 12 hours but it only lasts 7 for me, every time, without fail. I cannot just take the Zohydro ER but I need to take my rescue medication else be miserable for 2 hours before it works. It gives you constipation sometimes, even if you drink a ton of water. It seems to be weak pain relief. I wish it could work better and last longer. My doctor is switching me to a different ER pain medication now."
