For Pain "My doctor prescribed 10 mg once or twice a day to address some nasty sciatic pain. Maybe the dosage is low, but it really had no discernible effect on the pain after several days' usage. I don't want another expensive shot to deal with it either. I have had two, and they only provided about one week of relief while costing me plenty, even with insurance."

For Pain "I suffer from chronic TMJ. I can't eat apples, steak, most foods that require you to open your mouth, or my jaw will emit a loud bone-breaking-sounding CRACK, followed by waves of intense pain WAY beyond the acceptable threshold. I'm only 33. An MRI, CT scan, several X-rays, and worthless visits to 'specialists' did nothing but empty my bank account and receive the news that I have 'two displaced discs in my face, and there's nothing we can do.' I was about to give up, then said heck with it and sought out a pain specialist. She witnessed the horrific noise, saw the X-rays and surgeon notes, and immediately put me on Zohydro 20 mg (twice a day), and thinking my woes were addressed, then they reformulated it and it's like taking Aleve."

For Pain "After many years of feeling drugged and still in pain, Zohydro ER has saved my life. I spent 11 hours on the operating table. I was in pain 24/7 even with other pain meds or I felt drugged. With Zohydro, you don’t know that you have a drug in your system. Just no pain! Now I’ve come to understand that the company just recently took them off the market. Why?"

For Pain "I have been taking hydrocodone for over 18 years due to a lower back injury (bulging lower disc), wear & tear from 25 years of factory work & fibromyalgia (associated with those 25 years). I'm 62, retired, & still very physically active. After 2 hours of medium heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling, I feel like a truck has run me over... head to toe. I have taken many pain medications... OxyContin, Vicodin, morphine, tramadol (poison!), Lyrica (poison!), etc. After many years, what finally worked best was 6 7.5/200 Vicoprofen a day + a fentanyl 25 mcg patch every 3 days. After 2 years, my doctor switched me to Zohydro. I said sure. After just ONE DAY, I'm feeling GREAT! I take two 30 mg Zohydros a day + Vicoprofen for breakthrough. I have only taken three 7.5 pills today! WORKS."

For Pain "I am a paraplegic after a spinal cord injury when I had a wreck in 2001. For the first few years, the pain was there, but I could manage. Then it became so bad that I would lie in bed crying, unable to sleep or do anything. It ruled my life. After trying nearly every pain med out there, I finally found Zohydro by researching hydrocodone without acetaminophen. It has worked wonders, and I’m not constantly worried about withdrawals. My insurance just changed and won’t cover it now, and I can’t pay for it. Really wish they would come out with a generic!"

For Pain "Since most pain management docs (PMD) are feeling heat from the DEA due to the campaign against opioids, most PMDs are turning to AD formulations to cover their ass. Previous ER formulations provided me with very little relief. Zohydro ER is the exception. It's overall very effective, and releases very evenly over 7 to 9 hours. Been on it close to a year now, and it still works really well."

For Pain "I'm an amputee and also suffer from hip and back pain. I have been in pain management since 2010 and have tried a few different pain meds with very little success until Zohydro was approved by the FDA. I am prescribed 2 50 mg Zohydro, and as breakthrough pain management, I take Oxycodone 15 mg 6 times daily, and my quality of life has been wonderful. I'm 48, a single father of a 4-year-old son, and have been looking after him since he was 1 year old. Yes, at times it's a struggle, before Zohydro, just changing diapers was excruciating, much less lifting and holding him. Since its approval, our time together has been the greatest gift ever given to me. I am able to play, take him to the park, and be the parent I was before my illness that took my leg and aggravated my other conditions. Zohydro has been great, my only issue is the half-life is short of the 12 hours."

For Pain "I was on hydrocodone 7.5/500 for my back. Then suffered a head injury in 2013. I was hospitalized for 10 days, where they gave me morphine, Norco, Dilaudid, and fentanyl. When I got out, I went on oxycodone. One and a half years later, I wanted out. I white-knuckled a harsh withdrawal. But the pain was more spread and frequent from the injury. I went on Zohydro ER 15 mg, but sometimes needed to take two - it was too much. I dropped to 10 mg, but the insurance doesn't like paying for 120 caps when they can pay for 60 - so I moved to 20 mg. My favorite part of Zohydro ER is, I think because of the way it is dispersed, I have never suffered any withdrawal symptoms from it when I stop for a couple of days. I swear by it. It doesn't completely get rid of my pain, but it alleviates it enough so that I can enjoy some life. Grant you, a higher dosage might get rid of the pain, but I choose not to go that route due to past experience. I do not know that the higher dosage can guarantee me no withdrawal effects like now."

For Pain "I have been taking the Zohydro 50 for about 8 months now. I started off with the Hyslinga 80 mg, but it was not lasting the full 24 hours, so my Pain Dr. put me on the Zohydro 50 mg twice a day. For the most part, it has worked well... I loved the fact that I did not have to take 6 pills a day to try to manage my pain... And I will say the Zohydro worked a lot better than taking all those pills. My last appointment I got my prescriptions and took them to the pharmacy only to find out that my insurance company... Blue Cross/Blue Shield... Yes, I am blasting them... ended up having to go back on the Hydrocodone 10 mg 6 times a day, and it is NOT working... In CONSTANT pain... So upset about this!!!"

For Pain "This is the only drug that works for me. It lasts longer than Vicodin HP 10/300s, and there are no ups and downs, just constant pain relief with no noticeable side effects (I've been taking pain meds for years, though). It's a miracle for me! I am using the new formulation, and it does work, but I have to take it 3 times a day since they only last 7 hours, not the 12 it says it should. I have one dose of short-acting for breakthrough pain every day. I'm using the discount program, and it is still a high price, I'm worried about affording it! :("

For Pain "Have had chronic pancreatitis for years. After 5 failed surgeries and trying about 30 different medicines for pain, I went to a pain clinic and got put on 10 mg Zohydro twice a day along with the 10 mg of oxycodone every 6 hours for breakthrough pain I had been on for a year or two prior. Works amazing. Take the everyday pain down to a 1 or 2, and I can actually function and have a life now! Only side effect I had was constipation, and laxatives make my abdominal much worse, so got put on SYMPROIC, which works well for the constipation. Only downside is trying to get the prescription at pharmacies has been kind of a pain, and every month my script ends up getting filled anywhere from 1 to 3 days after my previous script has run out due to the government having new rules and regulations on ordering these types of medicines."

For Pain "I've been on Zohydro ER 50 mg for 2 years now. It works excellently for managing my chronic pain. I don't get 100% relief, but I get more relief than I have with other medications. I don't get the high feeling as I felt with other opiates such as fentanyl, OxyContin, Opana, and morphine. I can remain focused on Zohydro ER. This drug does not have Tylenol mixed with it. I am very happy with my Zohydro ER. I need to take it 3 times a day as it only lasts for about 7 hours before the pain starts to kick back in. The medication's ridiculously expensive, but I have no choice but to pay if I want to continue getting out of bed every day."

For Pain "I never received much relief from hydrocodone. Then along came Zohydro - I was quite skeptical at first due to the fact I had quite a high tolerance to oxy, but I have actually been quite pleased. It's for sure a few steps down from the oxy I was on, but, as has already been mentioned, it's not a roller coaster ride you get with a lot of other pain meds. Only sides thus far have been dehydration, fatigue, and very vivid dreams - I wake up really freaked out by how real they seem at times. At first, I thought it was due to other things I was taking, but I have since ruled them out, so it's definitely the Zohydro. Now I wait until I am totally awake before I take my first dose. I do believe that 12 hours of relief is a bit of a stretch and that 9 hours is closer to the length of relief it provides, and I'm on the 50's. I do highly recommend."

For Pain "When I first started taking it, I thought it was great. I took the 20s twice a day with 10 mg hydro for breakthrough. I have been on it a year, and my doctor said I needed the 30 mg, but he is closing his practice and won't change any prescriptions before he goes. He said I needed the 30s about a year ago but then wouldn't make the change. I took myself off of them. They only gave me about 3 hours of relief after taking 2 hours to be effective. So now I am looking for a new doctor who will just give me 30 mg of hydrocodone a day. That's all I need."

For Pain "I just started this. I was given 30 mg of Zohydro twice a day and taken off 60 mg of Hysingla once a day, and I take 30 mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain. Not quite sure if this Zohydro will work for me. I hope it does. Maybe I need a higher dose."

For Pain "My pain doctor started me on 10 mg x 2 per day after a few years on 7.5 hydros 4+x per day. After the first week, and some withdrawal symptoms, they give no relief. Maybe the doctor started me on too low of a mg and I'll see him the next day. I hope he ups the mg to at least 15, and 20 probably will be better. He said he can add the old hydro for breakthrough pain, but at this point, I feel at least two 7.5 mg per day and that's only 2 less than before. He should go to 20 mg 2x per as I have a bad spine from head to tail, facet arthritis, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, deteriorating disk, and spinal neuropathy.... I'm through... I covered them all!!"
