"I was prescribed gabapentin for my social anxiety, and to help with stress-induced hyperhidrosis. Started 300 mg a day (100 mg 3x a day), didn't help much. Increased to 600 mg and noticed a decrease in sweating. Currently at 900 mg (300 mg 3x a day) and am experiencing no sweating for the first time in 10 years! Anxiety has improved significantly. Have been using gabapentin for about 2 months now in total. Only side effect I had was dry mouth and increased thirst during the first few days of dose increase."

"Was originally prescribed for nerve pain (neuropathy type symptoms). Then I noticed my random sweating stopped. Turns out I also have dysautonomia, but the gabapentin seems to balance it a noticeable bit. The best part is the night sweats: I would wake up SOAKING, as in my shirt literally splatted to the floor when I was changing. Not anymore! The only time I have night sweats now is if I accidentally fall asleep before taking my evening dose."
