"I have had so many problems with my back. I went to pain management doctors. I got shots, and only received relief twice in 2 years. They did everything until the words 'pain stimulator' came out of their mouths. It was inserted in January 2023. But it never did much good. I had to get a new General Practitioner last month. She put me on 300mg 3 times daily. I put my feet on the floor and stand up with NO PAIN!!! First time in 3 years."

"200 mg 3x daily for sciatica, after 2-3 weeks the pain relief has made sciatica tolerable. I had Epidural Steroid Injection only worked for 2 weeks and the pain started to return. Went back on Gabapentin, the pain is now pretty much tolerable."

"I took gabapentin starting in 2004 for 2 years for nerve pain from a herniated disc in my neck (C5-C6). It calmed down the pain, and the herniated disc receded. I am again taking gabapentin in 2025 for back pain. It does not take all the pain away, but makes it very tolerable. I am able to walk and use a stationary bike for exercise. It works for me."

"I have taken 600 mg during the day and 900 mg at bedtime. The bedtime dose is tolerable, except that you feel hungover in the morning. The daytime dose is bad, in that it causes dizziness and brain fog. It helps the pain in my back, although not as much as the opioids. I have fewer side effects with opioid and anti-inflammatory drugs than I do with gabapentin."

"I was in extreme paranoia, my breath was foul, I was imagining that everyone was against me, and I wanted to go on a killing spree, not to mention that I was completely suicidal. I will never take this medication ever again, it's dangerous! Even though it worked for nerve pain, the side effects were horrific!"

"Taken 3 times a day with little to no pain relief. Also taken for paresthesia in both hands. It has helped a little, now less pins & needles in my hands when I am driving."

"I don't tolerate most medications, but gabapentin doesn't have any bad side effects and helps pain and anxiety a ton. You may have a few days of mild tiredness/dizziness, but not enough to complain about. I have absolutely no side effects, and I take 600 mg 3x daily. I love this medication. Gabapentin has helped my energy, but at the same time, it helps me relax at night. It helps my mood and my pain. Is it a miracle medication? YES, it is, but I still have some struggles with my mood and pain, but it's kept me sane and out of the ER and mental hospital from physical pain and anxiety. You may gain a few pounds, and that's the only negative I've found, but I've also lost weight taking it when I was doing low carb. All in all, it's been a saving grace in helping me in multiple areas. I don't know what I'd do if they stopped making it, because I'd probably need multiple meds to replace this one, and I'd probably still suffer. Gabapentin is that good. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose."
