For Migraine Prevention "Not a fan of this medicine, Ajovy! It helped my migraines a little at first... but then stopped helping. I also experienced a TON of bad side effects: bad nausea, vertigo, hair loss, and weight gain. I’ve weighed 112 pounds for years, and I now weigh 120 pounds and haven’t changed eating habits or anything. I feel like crying because I’ve gained this weight for no reason, and it won’t go away, but I’m not going to get any more injections, so hopefully my body will go back to normal."

For Migraine Prevention "I’ve taken Ajovy for six months now, but the medication did not have any significant effect on my migraine with aura. I experienced an increase in the seizure frequency, but a decrease in the severity of the headache and nausea. I cannot surely say that these changes are related to the drug, or if they would have happened without taking the drug. The nature of my migraine changes over time, so it's hard to tell. All in all, I am disappointed in the lack of a dramatic positive effect."

For Migraine Prevention "Did my first injection of Ajovy in December 2020. I previously researched it and knew it was possible my headaches and migraines wouldn't go away in the first month. What I didn't read were the side effects, such as nausea like no other every day for hours. It also never said my neck would be stiff, sore, and seize up randomly. I'm trying one more month for the migraine purpose and will go from there."

For Migraine Prevention "I have had a strange history with migraines. I had them for a whole year in high school almost every day, and then they completely disappeared for three years. Then they came back with a vengeance. I’d have them about 4 times a week. Unable to move, nausea, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, etc. I started Ajovy a month ago, and I got my second injection today. Does anyone else have excruciating pain when you inject yourself? It feels like acid burning me! It is a subcutaneous injection, and those hurt less than your average vaccine or blood work, but this is like nothing I have ever experienced. Anyway, in my first month, I had one day where I was extremely dizzy, and I had no idea why, but I see here that this is a common trend. I feel nausea on and off. I am slowly gaining weight, but I’m eating healthier than I had before I was on Ajovy. I got my second injection today, and it was so painful. I’m laying in bed, and my whole body is sore and in pain. My feet have terrible circulation."

"18-20 migraines a month for 39 years. My 13th injection and migraine-free for 2 months, but after the first shot, only had 4. It just got better each month. I had side effects the first 6 months and none after, but they were very minor-body aches, nausea, etc. They would last a few days at a time but minor."

For Migraine Prevention "I had one injection 21 days ago, and I’ve felt awful since. I’ve had increased migraine the first week that went away, muscle aches in my legs, increased and worsening vertigo/dizziness, I can see myself swaying, anxiety off the charts, depression, crying a lot, dizziness when sleeping, nausea, messed up my thyroid levels. This from a drug with no side effects, first, there are no meds with no side effects. Second, trials were not done long enough. Third, they aren’t listing the side effects on paperwork, doctors don’t listen when they're told about them. I’ve spoken to a few pharmacists, and they all said tons of side effects are being reported to them. Now I have to wait up to 5 months for it to leave the body. But you have to have it monthly, so why does it last 5 months? Being an antibody made my mice and rats DNA could be the problem."

For Migraine Prevention "So I've had migraines of all types. Especially hemiplegic, cluster, and trigeminal neuralgia. I've suffered for over ten years. Tried everything going: meds, procedures, etc. I was told this injection is the new miracle with no side effects. Well, let me tell you I've had a terrible time. Injection site purple, raised, and itchy. The itching is constant all over my body, in between my toes, fingers, ears, everywhere. Migraines have gotten worse. Visual disturbances have been awful. Extreme tiredness to the point I physically can't move. Nausea, irregular periods (every 2 weeks), terrible stomach cramping after eating. I know this works for some, but this drug has now been in my body for 55 days. Absolute nightmare."

For Migraine Prevention "Had my first injection of Ajovy on 6/8/2021. I've had migraines since I was a teen, and then about a year ago, I started having dizzy spells with nausea that would last an average of 15 minutes. My new neurologist recommended Ajovy and diagnosed my dizzy spells as Vestibular Migraines. I take a preventative for my migraines, which has been very effective. About 40 hours later, I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible migraine. Took 100 mg Imitrex, it went away about 85%, but came back. That was the cycle for the next 4 days. I was taking the max of 200 mg Imitrex every day and didn't want to run the risk of getting rebound headaches. On June 14th, I called my neurologist, and he put me on steroids to break the cycle. Today is the 3rd day of steroids, and I FINALLY woke up migraine-free."

For Migraine Prevention "Ajovy is pretty much a miracle for me. I've suffered with terrible migraines for decades, and after trying a host of meds, including Aimovig, with little success, my neuro switched me to Ajovy about 10 months ago. I went from about 12 miserable wanting to put my head through a wall migraines a month to an average of about 2! Some months zero! I also do take Rizatriptan when one arises. No side effects, except maybe gaining a few pounds and rash at the injection site (Benadryl cream clears it up overnight), and possibly a little heartburn and nausea a few days post-injection, though I am not 100% sure if that is really due to this medication. I'll gladly take these minor side effects over a life plagued with migraines! I just pray it keeps working."

For Migraine Prevention "I have now been on Ajovy for 3 months. I have constant brain fog, a crawling sensation on my scalp and under my skin on the left side of my head, nausea, and constipation. I am aware constipation is normal. I went from having 15+ migraines for 12-24 hours on average a month to 6-7 for 48-72 hours on average. I don't believe I have experienced weight gain yet, and I really hope not. It feels as though the drug only helped with the overall pain but none of the other symptoms."

For Migraine Prevention "I was very hesitant after reading the reviews, and it took me a long time to give it a try. (Like others, 40+ years of migraines, on average 15 a month, and I had tried every other kind of drug with no benefit.) First 3 months, I had the same number of migraines but much less intense. So much so I could ignore the majority of them and take a triptan for the others, which might have been 5/6 out of 10 pain compared to 7/8 out of 10 before. I had no nausea, which was amazing as that was almost worse than my pain before. I also had so much more energy compared to how fatigued I was with the pain and nausea. Plus, not a side effect at all. I was very happy with the relief it gave me, however, I’m into my fourth dose, and it is no longer working. I have read that this can occur when the body creates antibodies. I’m very disappointed. It was a great 3 months."

For Migraine Prevention "I’ve been using Ajovy for about 7 months. I’ve increasingly been getting more pressure in my forehead with nausea. It’s developing into more migraines."

For Migraine Prevention "Been on Ajovy for 2.5 months, so 2 injections. Didn’t really notice any side effects for the first month, but been having crazy sweating, crying fits, insomnia, CONSTANT diarrhea, and nausea with a few bouts of actual vomiting. Can’t say the Ajovy is to blame, but I will not be taking it again as it was the only new “anything” in my life. Headaches did get better, but I’m miserable 95% of the time, so I’d rather the migraines."
