For Migraine Prevention "Absolutely brilliant, one migraine in a month compared to three a week for thirty years. I've tried everything, and nothing works except for sumatriptan, but that makes me very drowsy. But I'm getting very concerned about the side effects of Ajovy: swollen legs, constipation, lower back pain, anxiety, and fatigue - it's only been three months. I am hoping it will get better, as for me, this is a wonder drug."

For Migraine Prevention "I have found Ajovy has really helped with my persistent headache. I have not experienced the alarming side effects as some people have had, but have a very bad reaction each time on the injection site - red, burning areas with blisters and itchiness, which take over a week to disperse and are very painful. Constipation I can deal with, but the itchiness lingers on even when the area is clear."

For Migraine Prevention "I have taken 2 injections of Ajovy - still had 10+ migraines a month (I’ve had them for 20+ years after a head injury). Was on Botox and Zomig and was managing, but insurance forced me to try this drug. It makes me extremely tired and constipated. So tired, sleeping 14 hours a day, so constipated, feeling like I’m going to vomit while having a bowel movement. I will not take this drug again, it’s not worth it, and the long-term effects are still not known. I’d rather suffer a couple of days of migraine pain than a month of being exhausted, constipated, sickly, and not being able to move."

For Migraine Prevention "I have just had my first Ajovy injection just over 3 weeks ago. 30 years plus 12-15 migraines a month. Very encouraging results, constipation was the worst, but Movicol sachets help a great deal. Just after my 3rd week, I have the migraines breaking through again. I will inject the 2nd dose in 3 more days, and I can’t wait to hopefully get rid of the migraines that are breaking through. The reduction in migraine frequency has been brilliant, only having 1 in the first 3 weeks that was sorted with paracetamol. I am hoping the 2nd injection will give me 4 weeks migraine-free, but 3 is some of my life back. It might take many years till I am free of the fear of getting a migraine, that’s what rules my life and dictates what I can and can’t do. I have felt no other side effects, but it is early days."

For Migraine Prevention "I get Botox every 12 weeks for my migraines, but I always have a few migraines with auras around week 11. I had tried Aimovig to counter this, but it actually made me have more migraines. My neurologist offered Ajovy and then said it didn't cause constipation. Wrong! Then week 11, I had 8 migraines with auras in 10 days. I will not be continuing."

For Migraine Prevention "I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I was nervous about taking this shot and went online to read reviews and any other information. The reviews made me second guess taking it, and I got a second opinion from my primary doctor. Our plan did not work, and I was still experiencing weeks-long headaches. I finally decided to take it. It has completely changed my life! I went from being sick for weeks on end to having no symptoms. It was like a miracle. I have next to no side effects. Maybe a night or two of weird sleep after injection, and a little constipation. I wish I would have taken it sooner."

For Migraine Prevention "I have been using Ajovy for 10 months. Ajovy did work for my migraines. Five months ago, I began having lots of GI issues. I’ve been miserable! Almost rather have a migraine. Bloating, constipation, and cramping. I was worked up by gastroenterology. Everything was negative until they began reviewing my medications. Ajovy seems to be the guilty party that slows down GI motility."

For Migraine Prevention "I have now been on Ajovy for 3 months. I have constant brain fog, a crawling sensation on my scalp and under my skin on the left side of my head, nausea, and constipation. I am aware constipation is normal. I went from having 15+ migraines for 12-24 hours on average a month to 6-7 for 48-72 hours on average. I don't believe I have experienced weight gain yet, and I really hope not. It feels as though the drug only helped with the overall pain but none of the other symptoms."

For Migraine Prevention "My dose was three different injections, 225 mg total. I have nothing nice to say about this medication. The constipation was awful."

For Migraine Prevention "After 4 years of chronic migraines, daily headaches, and losing all quality of life, I finally decided to try Ajovy. I live in Canada, where it is not covered by MSP or private insurance, however, my neurologist got me into a one-year trial with the drug company. I was terrified to try this medication because of the negative reviews I had read. I have experienced zero side effects that I can note, except for some mild constipation in the first month. I’m now on month three and have been getting more migraine-free days per month as I continue with this treatment. It may not be for everyone, but please don’t let fear stand in your way of trying. It has helped me so, so much, and I no longer feel like there is no hope for recovery."
