For Insomnia "Flurazepam is a wonderful sleeping pill; I took it for 29 years; it always worked and had no side effects for me — I'd wake up refreshed and feeling calm; never had any problems with memory loss, dizziness, or anything else. I'm having a terrible time now that it's not available. I called Mylan a few days ago, and they've moved its availability date back to January 2020. I tried temazepam (Restoril) once and couldn't walk around without holding on to the walls and furniture."

For Insomnia "I took Dalmane for 18 years. Pulled off the shelves in 2019. I have been in hell since then. Multiple MRIs, permanent ear and brain damage. Dizzy, lightheaded, and now blood pressure and memory loss issues. I have realized after 3 years, and not getting better that these pills have ruined my life. I wish someone had told me to never take these!"

Flurazepam for Insomnia "Dalmane, in my experience, is a 'dirty' benzodiazepine like Librium. It lasts far too long and has a nasty next-day hangover. Its metabolites accumulate over time and made me fuzzy and forgetful. I wouldn't even recommend it for a short time. There's a reason it was discontinued by Roche, and only a couple of generics exist. If you need a benzodiazepine sleeping aid, I would opt for a short course of temazepam or lorazepam, or even diazepam/Valium."
