For Birth Control "I have irregular menstrual cycles. I've started taking Trinessa to help regulate my cycle. I am only on my 2nd week, but I don't like the side effects. I am nauseous all day, and it affects my mood shortly after taking it. I go from happy and productive to moody and sluggish. I also have headaches, muscle, and breast soreness. I have not stopped bleeding either. I have been spotting the entire time, and as I go along, it seems to get heavier. I was not expecting for it to start working to stop my elongated period immediately, but the all-day nausea and mood change is the worst. I will try to complete the month, but I am not sure if this is the option for me."

For Birth Control "Not good at all. I just started my 3-pack, and I'm taking myself off of it. The experience has been horrible. I've had unbelievable mood swings since the start. Major breast tenderness, my PMS starts about 2 weeks early. Lots of chin acne. Nausea every single night. Slight weight gain. But my worst side effect is my hair started falling out. Literally in clumps. I have very, very thick hair, and it's noticeably thinner. My mother noticed just by looking at my hairline, and my hairdresser also confirmed it was significantly thinner. Unfortunately, I have to be on a birth control, otherwise, I have too many issues without it. However, I've taken myself off of this and thrown away my last pack. I know pills work differently for everyone, but I would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I was on this for about two years. I gained 20 lbs from it. But I needed to regulate my period. Also, my thyroid levels always changed drastically on this, while off it, not too bad. TriNessa also made my breasts hurt so bad, showers were horrible with the water hitting them. I feel bloated half the month and irritated that this is the only birth control I can afford because insurance won't cover even with my condition. Also, my eyes always were dry and itchy."

"I have been on TriNessa for about 4-5 months. For me, the worst things about it are constant breast tenderness (except for the week of my period) and acne right before my period. However, lately, the tenderness has significantly decreased, and the acne can be controlled as long as I take proper care of my skin. I also get pretty bad cramps, but it's only for the very first day of my period, and it's nothing Midol can't take care of. Everything else I have to say about TriNessa is positive. My periods are regular, I don't experience spotting if I miss pills, my mood is stable, I have no nausea, I'm not pregnant, and my sex drive has increased dramatically. All in all, an excellent pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Trinessa for a year. It made my periods regular. It made no improvement on my acne, though. As for the birth control, it is doing its job. When I first began to take Trinessa, my breasts would get sore for a few days every month, but now they have no effect on them. Before Trinessa, I was using FemCon Fe. It's the chewable pill. I used it for a year and had no periods. But it was $60 per month. Also, if I forgot to take a pill and took 2 the next day, I would always get spotting. I haven't had that problem with Trinessa. One week, I missed the first 3 pills and still didn't get any spotting."

For Birth Control "I loved this birth control and was taking it for multiple years! Why did they stop making it? No idea. Got switched to Tri-Sprintec and my boobs were extremely tender for weeks!"

For Birth Control "I'm getting older, and my hormones are changing (I'm 28), but being on TriNessa this time around, my breasts have been sore for 2 weeks, and my normally clear skin has now turned into a breeding ground for bright red, painful acne cysts. I've only been on it for 1 month, but I'm going to give it a couple more months. On the bright side, I'm not pregnant."
