For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for just over 2 weeks now, and I've only experienced some side effects. The little acne I did have has been reduced, and in the first week, I experienced slight breast tenderness for like 2 or 3 days, but it wasn't bad at all. Now that I think about it, I have become a little more sensitive to certain things my boyfriend says, but nothing major that's messing up our relationship or anything. Or it might be caused by his innocent teasing getting to me after a while. But I think this birth control pill is very good for me, and I hope you all have a positive experience with this like I do."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Sprintec for 3 years, and I don't have any complaints. I can predict when my period is going to come almost up to the hour, so it's very nice knowing exactly when I'm going to start. Also, my periods are much shorter (4-5 days) and lighter (I only need a regular absorbency tampon on my heaviest day). I virtually have no cramps and slight breast tenderness each month. Most importantly, I've never gotten pregnant, and I've been sexually active the whole time I've been taking this pill."

For Acne "This is the first-ever birth control I’ve taken, and I’ve been on it for over a year. I’ve seen little to no improvement with my acne. It’s also caused more body hair, tender breasts, nausea, vomiting, mood swings, and fatigue. I’m switching to a different birth control, and honestly, I should’ve done it sooner."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I've been on this a few weeks. I'm noticing more headaches. I generally feel sluggish. I feel sick, if I move too fast, I get dizzy. I take it in the morning, and if I don't eat soon after taking it, I have stomach pain the rest of the day. Weird fluttering cramps are another thing. Breast sensitivity out the wazoo. Increased sex drive. Metallic taste, like the taste you get right before you throw up. Random nausea spells, I have to pop mints like a son of a gun to feel okay. I'm disinterested in hobbies. I'm going to try to ride it out. It's better than the single hormones made me feel, but not by much."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. I was switched to this medication because the previous medication was unavailable. I stayed on it for 5 years. During my experience, I did not get pregnant, which is great, but suffered so many side effects: severe irritability, everyday breakthrough bleeding, sore breasts, and high blood pressure. I'm 37 years old, so my husband and I decided he would get a vasectomy, and I can get off this medication. Immediately, the breakthrough bleeding stopped, the irritability/rage subsided, and my blood pressure returned to normal. I've always had acne, so I'm not sure if it helped or harmed in that regard. I will say I think this caused facial hair. I'm blonde, so it's not that noticeable. The only benefit is I didn't get pregnant, but I had breakthrough bleeding every day for 5 years."

For Birth Control "Bad, bad, bad. I have taken this pill for 9 months now, my acne has gotten worse, I have gained about 15 pounds, my cramps are worse, and I'm very emotional. My boobs hurt all the time, my sex drive has lowered, and after I finish my 7-day period, I have 6-7 days of spotting. And my cycle is all messed up."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about 4 months now. I switched from the depo shot because I wanted a period. The first two months I had no problems, just a little breast tenderness. The 3rd month I got my period for two days and then it stopped for a few days and then came back for another two days. This 4th month my period was almost two weeks late. It is not consistent, and I do have horrible mood swings. The one bright side is my periods are shorter and a lot lighter than usual. I'm married, so naturally my husband and I don't use condoms, so this was a form of contraceptive, but it's not worth it to me. Before birth control, my period came at the same time every month, so I'm just going to stop taking it altogether."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 3 months now, and the first month was okay even though my headaches were bad and having nausea. Before I had been taking this, I was having breast tenderness, but I took a test before, and it said I wasn’t pregnant, and my breasts are still having tenderness to them, and it’s my 3rd month on this kind of birth control. People are saying that your breasts shouldn’t still be feeling like that, so I’m getting worried about that. I’ve been pregnant before, and all my symptoms were breast tenderness and nausea. I don't know if I’m pregnant or what, but I’m sick of feeling like this. My cramps are worse, and my period days are longer but light. I’m having irregular periods now."

"I have been on Tri-Sprintec for a little over a month now. I have noticed changes already. I have shorter periods, if I drink plenty of water, I have few to no cramps. My acne has cleared up for the most part, and I have lost a noticeable amount of body fat. The only side effect I have noticed is breast tenderness, and it was only the 2 days before I started my period."

"I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for about 4 years before my change to Tri-Sprintec. With Ortho, my periods and acne had lessened, and I was extremely happy. In November 2009, I had a period for a month straight, and since the local Planned Parenthood shut down, I had to go to my family doctor for a visit. My dose was too low, so I had to be switched to a generic version of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. The first three months on this pill were hell. Bad acne, mood swings, nightmares, breast tenderness, and headaches. It almost ruined my relationship with my boyfriend because I didn't even want him to touch me. Since then, I've adjusted to the pill and am getting along fine."

For Birth Control "This is my second month taking it, and my breasts are so sore. The first month I took it, I was fine. I feel nauseous all the time. I'm gaining a lot of weight. It's sad, never had I felt like this on BC, but only one more month left. Then I can try to have a baby. Been irregular all my life. I'm 25 now, still no kids."

For Ovarian Cysts "This pill made my anxiety terrible! My hormones were so out of whack while taking the pill. I would get so dizzy, which was very scary. Not to mention, my breasts always hurt. The different amount of hormones each week really messes with your body! I used to be on just Sprintec, and it was way better than Tri-Sprintec!"

For Acne "Please! Just walk away from this pill. My breasts are so tender I can't touch them. I stay nauseous and lightheaded, and I've had my period now for 2 weeks. And I've only taken them for 2 weeks. I stopped taking them, I'm no longer nauseous and lightheaded, but my period is still going strong. My breasts are getting better. Too many side effects for me. Oh yeah, and they make you eat A LOT!"

For Acne "I was assured by my prescriber (NurX) that this birth control would specifically clear my skin, as that was my main concern with choosing a birth control. This has been my worst experience ever. My skin is worse than it has ever been (I can't even cover it with full-coverage makeup). I have experienced severe breast pain for three months now. I had a constant flow of discharge for the first month. I had terrible headaches and mood swings-I even almost passed out a few times during the first couple of weeks on this pill. I would not recommend this pill to ANYONE, nor would I recommend trusting NurX as a prescriber."

For Birth Control "This birth control so far has done me well, my symptoms are tender breasts and fatigue. I do workout, so I’m not sure about the weight gain, but I haven’t had mood swings or crazy acne like other reviews say. Every woman is different, so they will react differently to it. But so far, this birth control is doing me good."

For Birth Control "Been taking this birth control for exactly a week now and have experienced a couple side effects: mood swings, increased appetite, sore boobs, bloating. It’s only been a week so I will stick it out and see how long these side effects last. Haven’t had sex yet to determine if it works yet though :("

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for the past week and 2 days, and I have never in my life experienced depression. Being on this birth control has made me severely depressed. Very sad, cried for 2 days and didn't know why. I am 20 and haven't been on BC for like 5 years. Decided to take this to help with heavy periods. Also, I've been throwing up in the morning, my boobs are tender, and my face is breaking out. I'm going to say DEPRESSED one more time, being it is seriously messing with who I am. I would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen in the past for about 3 years and experienced no side effects. After being off birth control for about a year, my doctor put me on Tri-Sprintec. It has now been 4 months. Nightmares. My symptoms have included: constipation, increased appetite, tender breasts, severe mood swings, increased anxiety and emotions, and insomnia. I have begun to feel like I’m falling into a depressive state. Countless times throughout the day, I say to my friends/family, “I just feel so bleh,” and it is completely unlike me. I have a doctor's appointment in a couple of days, and I’m going to continue taking it until I consult with her. But regardless of her recommendation, where my mindset is right now, I am done with this birth control and possibly any other types. The only good thing I can say is my period cramps/heavy bleeding have decreased significantly, but the misery isn’t worth it to me."

For Birth Control "I am two packs in, and so far, it's been great, just a lot of breast tenderness and a little increase in my appetite, but it's been great so far."

For Birth Control "I'm about to start my 3rd pack of Tri-Sprintec pills, and it's overall been a positive experience. The first few days of taking it, I was really fatigued and lethargic, but those feelings went away quickly. The first 2 weeks, I did feel a bit of nausea, mostly right after taking the pill (I take it at night). I have mild to moderate acne, including acne on my back. Nothing on my back has improved so far. I'm unsure as to whether the acne on my face is improving or not. Right now, it's definitely mild and not cystic, but not clear. Breasts have increased in size and were painful the first month. Still sore going into the 3rd month, but not too bad. Had spotting the 3rd week of the first pack, but it was very light."
