For Birth Control "I have been on this brand not a whole year now, and I have experienced mood changes, and my sex drive is down the drain. The thought of sex is not appealing at all. I have noticed when I take the pill at night before bed, I instantly have cravings, but luckily I'm able to control it to avoid weight gain. The only best thing from this experience is not getting pregnant, which I have no sex drive, like I'd mentioned. In my opinion, no birth control is perfect or good for you physically or mentally, but we all need something to help to avoid pregnancy."

For Birth Control "Well, I am not pregnant, but this pill has killed my sex drive. I had no prior problems with being 'turned on', now there's nothing, and sex is just painful. Also, I'm pretty sure it's the reason I've been having constant yeast infections for months now."

For Birth Control "Similar to other people, I have found myself crying for no reason, anti-social at times, exhausted, dry eyes, significantly lower sex drive, less pleasure, headaches more often than when I wasn't on it, and I find myself less patient with others."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for 2 1/2 years. My period is regular and 5-6 days. I need to switch because I cannot find Tri-Sprintec or any other triphasic pill in Nicaragua right now. Since I've been looking into other pills, I have been reading a lot about side effects and have just realized that I have been experiencing several side effects from Tri-Sprintec. Contact lens tolerance - I have not been able to wear my contacts for more than two hours for the last 2 1/2 years. Low sex drive. Not chronic, but 3 yeast infections in the last two years. One urinary tract infection. I did not have any of these issues before I started taking Tri-Sprintec."

For Birth Control "I had been on Trinessa since I was 19 and am now 23. I was switched to Tri-Sprintec because my pharmacy only carried that for generic. I figured I'd give it a try since the hormone levels were the same as Trinessa, and I had no problems whatsoever on Trinessa. Well, for the last 6 months, I've been excessively irritable, and I've never cried so much in my life. My already C cups have gone up to a DD. I have absolutely no sex drive, and it's starting to affect my relationship. I don't want to do anything anymore but sit on the couch and sleep. I also have been getting really bad cramps and abdominal pains, not just during my period but all the time! I'm switching back."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had intense period cramps and always had heavy periods that would last 3-5 days. The Tri-Sprintec helped with cramps, and I have been on this medication for almost two years now. I have no sex drive and mild depression, along with bad weight gain, and I play soccer and run 3.5K almost every practice, still couldn't lose weight. And the main reason I got it was to help with cramps and the chance of cysts on ovaries. Now it doesn't help with cramps anymore, and I'm not happy, I'm switching to the Kyleena implant. Overall, it was an okay method, I never used it for actual birth control, so no idea if it works effectively that way."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this birth control for 5 months. I would start bleeding way before I’m supposed to get my cycle, and also I wouldn’t have any type of sex drive. When I did have sex, I was very dry down there. Then sometimes I would start spot bleeding. This is annoying. I don’t like feeling like I’m going to get my period so often. I’m going to talk to my gyn and have them take me off this brand."

For Birth Control "I have tried a lot of birth control pills in my life, and there are always some type of problem: low sex drive, increased heart rate, insomnia, nausea, increased acne, etc. This is the first pill I have tried that did not give me debilitating side effects. I can sleep, want to have sex, eat a healthy amount of food, have good skin, and feel normal on this pill. I am definitely going to stick with this one, as I think it is perfect for my body. Really, no complaints other than slight appetite changes on the first week of pills."

For Acne "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for at least 11 years. I started on it when I was 15, and I’m now 25. I stopped taking it to try and have a baby, and I succeeded, but once I had my son, I immediately went back on the pill. My acne has always been next to nothing on this pill, but about a month ago, I stopped taking it for 2 weeks, and let me tell you, MY ACNE BLEW UP after I started back on it. I never have a clear face anymore. During those two weeks I was off Tri-Sprintec, I felt great. Now that I’m back on it, I just don’t feel like myself. I’m tired all the time. My sex drive is next to nothing. I have the worst acne. I have headaches almost every single day. I’m angry a lot, and I get sad suddenly. I’m anxious all the time. I will say that it has kept me from getting pregnant. My periods aren’t as bad as they were when I was off birth control, but recently, my periods have been pretty heavy."

For Birth Control "I'm 22 years old, and Tri-Sprintec is the first BC that I have consistently taken for the past 5 months. At first, my periods were totally abnormal and lasted a long time. I even had my period twice in one month. The acne is mild to low but has only gotten worse since I've gotten older, anyways. Most of the time when I get my period, the discharge smells horrible! Unlike any period blood I've had. Sorry if that's TMI. My sex drive is pretty much nonexistent. I asked my dermatologist for a low androgen BC because I have issues with hair loss and read online that it's not good to take high androgen BC when dealing with it. Hair loss has not changed. My physician is switching me to Gildess 1/20, and I'm scared. Wish me luck!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I've been on Ortho, Aviane, and this one. Ortho was my favorite. Aviane was not good. As for this one, the first months it gave me whiteheads. It went away, and ever since, my skin has been amazing. I think I had one pimple since. I seemed to feel decent. Then, I noticed my period wasn't that light. I get weird abdominal pains. I feel like I have fatigue, and I'm tired. This pill gives me really bad headaches at the fourth week that makes me unproductive. But the worst thing is that I seem to have developed depression. I'm not as zombie-like with Aviane, but I feel bipolar, and I feel like my pressure is up. I have anxiety and trouble sleeping. The depression seems to be getting worse and worse every time the fourth week comes around. I have zero sex drive with my husband, and I don't even enjoy food. But there are times when my mood is good, and other times I feel practically suicidal. It's scary. Unfortunately, I need to take a break from BC and see what's going on."

For Birth Control "Started this pill for irregular periods and cramping and definitely has helped. The first 3 months I felt like absolute garbage (nauseous/weight gain/bloated), but by the 4th month this pill has been a lifesaver! However, I’ve recently had an extreme decrease in my sex drive along with a ton of dryness. If you’re not sexually active, then push through the first couple of months because your body needs time to adjust!"

For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec was the first birth control prescribed for me when I was 16. I had painful cramps that occurred every month, which was the reason for me starting birth control so early. This pill helped amazingly with my cramps, as well as balanced out my skin. It wasn't until I was 20 that I realized how low this pill was making me feel. I felt almost emotionally numb and had absolutely no sex drive. Once I got off this pill is when the bigger problems occurred. I got my sex drive back, but even worse, now I've been dealing with constant battles of BV (bacterial vaginosis) and slight yeast infections due to the hormone imbalance that was caused when going off this pill. This has been going on for a little over a year. I've talked to my gyno multiple times about it and have been tested to make sure it wasn't an STD of any sort, but I'm starting to feel like I'm doomed because of this pill."

For Acne "BEWARE, and know what may be coming if you use this long-term. I started in high school and remained on this pill for five years, and after the initial first three months of a nightmarish life (crying all the time, moody, suicidal), this pill worked beautifully for me. I had no acne, I never got pregnant (although I was having unprotected sex), I had no lowered sex drive, and I could function perfectly. Little to no negative side effects after the initial horrible ones. However, five years later when I stopped taking this pill, I had a complete mental breakdown. Any semblance of stability and respect I had for myself was gone, and I was no longer a rational person. It was very scary, and I truthfully feel like this pill made it so I was not myself after a while."
