For Endometriosis "I've been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for about 4 months now. I've tried almost every type and brand of BC and had negative results with all, but this is my favorite so far. My period is much milder. I've never gotten any type of period relief from a contraceptive, and this one helps a good bit. I will definitely stay on it."

For Birth Control "I’m about to start my third pack of Tri-Lo-Marzia and, honestly, no complaints. I’d never taken any kind of birth control before, so I was nervous. After doing research and reading so many complaints about the pill. But I haven’t experienced any side effects. No nausea, no mood swings, no abnormal bleeding or anything, and my period is as normal as it ever was (still 4-5 days, not heavier or lighter). I started taking Tri-Lo-Marzia the first day of my period (not a Sunday), so not sure how much of an impact that has, but everything’s been good so far."

For Birth Control "Overall, I was happy with this pill. Besides the headaches it was giving me, I would get a headache while taking active pills as well as during the inactive week. My acne got better, although I still get flare-ups once in a while. When I started the pill, I had spotting continuously for 2-3 months, but it stopped after that. For those who just started the pill, it's important to know that spotting is common, but it will go away."

For Acne "I've been taking Tri-Lo-Marzia for my hormonal acne since October 2, 2017, and this completely cleared my skin crystal clear. However, the next year I ended up having swelling in my throat, lips, hands, feet, and experienced nausea and vomiting every 3 weeks. From August-October 2018, I've been in and out of the hospital, paying $300 medical bills because of the swelling. Hospital bills started adding up, and I was tired of having to pay $900 hospital bills. I completely stopped taking the medication October 6, 2018, because these pills aren't worth putting me in an early grave. Unfortunately, my face is back to spotting up very badly. However, it made me come to the realization that I should just stick to taking care of my skin the proper way instead of worrying about vanity, because vanity will end up risking your life drastically. Last but not least, to have self-love for who I am regardless if I have a 'pepperoni' spotted face. I give this medicine a 10 for clearing my face."

For Acne "My gyno suggested this birth control to help with adenomyosis pain. Although I haven't suffered from more serious acne in years, I appreciated the possible added benefit of clearing up my light, monthly hormonal pimples. Fast forward less than three months on this medication, and I have little red pimples all over my face, especially my cheeks, and even places I've never had zits, including my neck. Add in a decreased sex drive, increased anxiety and depression, and any “benefit” of less adenomyosis pain is out the window. I've stopped this med, requested a change of pill, and will just pop Ibuprofen until I find the right treatment. Tri-Lo-Marzia is not it for me!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for 1 1/2 years now, and it’s worked well for me from the get-go. After getting the Mirena out (hello cysts), I waited a bit before going back to the pill. I had SERIOUS post-Mirena breakouts for a good 6 months, and this pill COMPLETELY CLEARED UP MY SKIN!! It didn’t change my appetite much at all, which was great, and I didn't have any weight gain aside from a little bloating now and then. I occasionally experience some nausea, headaches, moodiness, but nothing unbearable. Everyone's different, but if you’re dealing with hormonal acne, I suggest giving this a shot."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I switched birth controls to this one. My birth control before let me skip the placebo pills, but if I skip it on the Tri-Lo pill, I start bleeding black blood clots out of nowhere. I also get cramps too, like I’m on my period. Even if you forget to take the pill 2 hours after you're supposed to, you’ll bleed the next day."

For Birth Control "I've been on several different types of birth control, and this one is my favorite. I switched about two months ago from Junel 1/20, and it has been amazing. My skin cleared up, my moods stabilized, my periods are far lighter. I know everyone's experience is different, but I love this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for about five days and have experienced horrible nausea. For about 20 minutes after I swallow this pill through the rest of the day, and sometimes the next morning, I have a lump in my throat and non-stop nausea and bloating. It is absolutely horrible. I am getting off of this and going with an alternate method as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "Switched from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to Tri-Lo-Marzia because I mysteriously received a free renewal in the mail (without prescription). Weird, I know. It's been making me super tired, bloated, and depressed. I've been taking it for 5 days, and I'm going to stop taking it and see my doctor ASAP. I don't know why I got this free, unprescribed prescription in the mail, but it sucks."

For Birth Control "This set off my OCD, which I literally had not experienced in 10 years. I went off of it after 3 days of utter torment, anxious paranoia, and feelings of extreme shame and guilt. It's been 5 days, and things are starting to feel better, but I'm still waiting to feel like myself again. This was frighteningly terrible."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I took this birth control for 3 weeks exactly, and I threw away the entire package, as well as the other 2 that I had. I was trying to clear my acne and regulate my period like everyone else on here, but for almost a full week now, I’ve been bleeding continuously, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping. I wasn’t supposed to get my period for another 2 weeks before this started. I regret ever taking this stuff."

For Birth Control "I have struggled with my weight for so long, when my Dr. accidentally sent in the wrong dose birth control, I still took it. Lost 6 lbs that month but got terrible acne and bled forever. They put me back on a high-dose birth control, and I gained it all back. So we came to the realization that it’s my birth control, so we tried this brand, and it’s been a week, and I’m down the 6 lbs again. Not sure why I hold weight on high-dose pills, but this birth control is working so far! A little nausea, but I can handle that. I like it this far!"

For Birth Control "I started this birth control in 2019, my very first experience. I would definitely recommend! It's helped with my acne and is also very dependable when it comes to avoiding pregnancy. It comes with a little pocket packet and stickers to track when you take it. There was one month when I lost insurance and had to pay out of pocket, but it was only between $25 and $40. And another plus? If you happen to miss one by accident, you simply take it the next morning, then continue as you would before. I am still actively taking this medication and plan to do so in the future."

For Birth Control "I wish I could rate this drug a 0. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to take it. I took this pill for about 3 months, and 3 months later I am still feeling what I believe to be aftereffects of coming off the pill. When I started the pill, I experienced daily headaches, then a really bad one that made me feel like I couldn’t fall asleep or something bad would happen... I guess some kind of paranoia. I developed severe anxiety, and I’ve never been an anxious person really, so this was one of the hardest things. I experienced brain fog, nausea, and just overall feeling uncomfortable every day. I also experienced serious chest pains that led me to believe I had a blood clot or was maybe having a heart attack. Since stopping the pills, I haven’t felt back to my normal self yet, but I’m hoping that I feel like myself again soon. I’ve just been experiencing some headaches, anxiety, and a very strange feeling in my head that I assume is brain fog as well."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The first birth control I ever tried was Loestrin FE. It made me extremely nauseous and gave me terrible headaches. I’m now on Tri-Lo-Marzia due to my period coming every 2 weeks. So far, so good. I’m on my second week, and my period has not started. I take it every AM with food, and I feel perfectly fine. The only difference I’ve noticed is that my anxiety has increased."

For Birth Control "I've used Tri-Sprintec for years with no problems, but was switched to this with insurance changes. Since beginning this generic, I've had bacterial vaginosis every month around my period. It's awful, and I'm in the process of switching to another birth control."

For Birth Control "I developed severe food allergies when on this drug. My entire life, I haven’t been allergic to anything. Ever! I had 2 reactions at home after eating crackers (that I have eaten before). Hives head to toe, itching, swelling of my mouth and throat. Luckily, I had Benadryl on hand. I went back to college, and I was eating dinner when I had such a bad reaction (same as above, but also a hard time breathing and vomiting), I ended up in the emergency room via ambulance. Thankfully, my medical doctor and my naturopathic doctor both agreed with my mother and me that this pill may have made my system hypersensitive to either wheat or, more likely, additives to the wheat I had eaten. After digging around on the internet, I found that it can cause these reactions, though it is unclear whether they mean the pill is causing these symptoms or if it causes general allergic reactions."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I was put on, and it was primarily for the use of birth control but also for bad hormonal acne (I am talking those teenage years where you have so many different face washes and nothing's working, and you don't do any activity, but somehow 30 minutes after washing your face, you are a greasy mess). It definitely helped with my acne, that cleared up completely to the point I could literally almost sleep with makeup on, and there would be nothing on my face. I also swear I lost weight on this birth control. The downside, though, for my third week with the changes in drug ratio, I would get EXTREMELY depressed, like it wasn't great at all. I spent most of my emotional time on this pill balancing between I want to lay in bed and cry all day and I could really do with having sex right now. It was the weirdest thing and really not a great emotional place to be on birth control as a teenager."

For Birth Control "I've given this birth control a try for two months, and I have decided to get off of it due to the degree of nausea that I have been experiencing the first two and a half weeks of every new pack. I have also not noticed any positive impact on my skin, it's stayed the same. I was cramping quite heavily when I started the first month, and that seemed to dissipate with the second month. I have noticed that my period this month is significantly lighter. However, due to the nausea, I will be switching back to Ortho Cyclen (i.e., Sprintec) that I was on a few years ago."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the third pill I’ve tried for heavy bleeding and severe pain. Other pills made me incredibly irritable, very angry, bloated, dizzy, and exhausted. This one has only made me bloated and exhausted. I can’t live my life this way. I’ll have to deal with the 5 days of major blood loss and pain that makes me almost black out, I suppose."

For Acne "I was put on this for acne, and my headaches and moods have been extremely awful; I have broken down so many times, and the back of my head is in serious pain. When I take painkillers to help with the headaches, I feel pretty fine, but man, this pill is seriously getting to me, and I'm gonna fight through and see how long all these symptoms will last."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Absolutely terrible. After trying this pill for only 5 days, it is now in the trash. I have had pretty bad periods my whole life, usually lasting for 10 days or more. The timing in between can go from 3-7 weeks. I also have frequent cysts and severe mood disruptions. I was put on this recently with hope that it would stabilize all this. Well, I will deal with what I know and try healthy alternatives. This completely defeated me for a week. My mood dropped to the lowest I've felt in a long time. I couldn't stop crying. My head was pounding, and I vomited for days. I almost immediately stopped taking this pill because it was SCARY. I've now been off for three days, and my head is still pounding, I'm incredibly nauseous, and I've started bleeding heavily. I hope other people can find relief, but I also want you to know that it can be shockingly bad. I've had issues with anxiety and depression before, and I wish my doctor would have been more concerned with the reaction this pill could cause."

For Birth Control "Honestly, reading these reviews, I haven’t had the same experience. This is my first birth control, and so far, it’s been okay. I had some serious emotional issues in the beginning of taking it. My mood swings were crazy, and I would cry and complain a lot. But then, after that, everything has been fine, and my sex drive has been a little low, but it’s still there. (My boyfriend helps me with that, lol.) But honestly, for a first-time birth control, I think this birth control isn’t so bad. It has even cleared my cystic acne, which was severe."
