For Birth Control "Honestly, I didn’t love Tri-Lo-Marzia. It did nothing to help my acne, I gained a little water weight (5 lbs), and I experienced spotting every month after the second week of each pill pack. However, I am not pregnant and my period is extremely light. Before starting this birth control I used to get terrible cramps and nausea during my periods, and those things have really improved so that’s a definite upside to Tri Lo Marzia. There are pros and cons, but I’m looking to switch now to something different."

For Birth Control "Switched from ortho-tri-cyclene to Tri-lo-marzia because I mysteriously received a free renewal in the mail (w/o prescription). Weird, I know. It's been making me super tired, bloated, and depressed. I've been taking it for 5 days and I'm going to stop taking it and see my doctor asap. I don't know why I got this free, un-prescribed prescription in the mail but it sucks."

For Birth Control "This set off my OCD, which I literally had not experienced in 10 years. I went off of it after 3 days of utter torment, anxious paranoia and feelings of extreme shame and guilt. It's been 5 days and things are starting to feel better, but I'm still waiting to feel like myself again. This was frighteningly terrible."

For Acne "Worst experience of my life. I had really bad acne last year and went on this pill for about three months. My skin cleared tremendously within the first two months, but that literally didn't matter anymore due to the severe depression and anxiety this pill gave me. I was a completely different person. I was always exhausted, so easily irritated, and very depressed, and I also gained a lot of weight. I would cry over the slightest things too. Once I went off of it, I immediately felt like myself again and l dropped the weight in the course of 2 months."

For Birth Control "I’m about to start my third pack of Tri-Lo-Marzia and, honestly, no complaints. I’d never taken any kind of birth control before so was nervous. After doing research and reading so many complaints about the pill. But I haven’t experienced any side effects. No nausea, no mood swings, no abnormal bleeding or anything and my period is as normal as it ever was (still 4-5 days, not heavier or lighter). I started taking Tri Lo Marzia the first day of my period (not a Sunday) so not sure how much of an impact that has but everything’s been good so far."

For Birth Control "Overall, I was happy with this pill, besides the headaches it was giving me. I would get a headache while taking active pills as well as during the inactive week. My acne got better, although I still get flare ups once in a while. When I started the pill, I had spotting continuously for 2-3 months, but it stopped after that. For those who just started the pill, it's important to know that spotting is common, but it will go away."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri Lo Marzia for 1 1/2 years now and it’s worked well for me from the get-go. After getting the Mirena out (hello cysts), I waited a bit before going back to the pill. I had SERIOUS post-Mirena breakouts for a good 6 months and this pill COMPLETELY CLEARED UP MY SKIN!! It didn’t change my appetite much at all which was great and didn't have any weight gain aside from a little bloating now and then. I occasionally experience some nausea/ headaches/ moodiness but nothing unbearable. Everyones different but if you’re dealing with hormonal acne I suggest giving this a shot."

For Endometriosis "I have been on this pill for 2 weeks and let me tell you, I regret it. I have absolute RANDOM bouts of nausea and cold sweats, I am angry, weepy, dehydrated (hard to force myself to drink because of the nausea), and BLOATED. My fiance is so worried because I have been to the hospital twice due to intense migraines and dehydration. Honestly, the recalled YAZ gave me less side effects than this! I'll be starting something new in a week. The only good thing is that it cleared up my minimal acne. I just want to enjoy my life again!"

For Ovarian Cysts "This is my first time on birth control and I started this pill around the beginning of my first semester. I took it to control my cramping and regulate my period which it has done well for. I have been on this pill for 7 months now. But since starting this pill, I have developed severe digestive problems. I am gluten-free, dairy-free, strictly drink water and hardly eat meat. I couldn’t figure out why my stomach pains are the way they are since I am eating the healthiest I have ever been. My gastroenterologist recommended the low FODMAP diet to reduce the bloating and gas I am having nearly 24/7. The longer I have been on the pill, the worse my digestion system is irritated. I have also gained 30 pounds. I would say this is the typical freshman-15 but according to my daily diet and exercise routine, I don’t think it’s possible. I plan to come off of Tri-Lo-Marzia this week. It is definitely not worth the digestive troubles."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Lo for nine years and recently was switched to Tri Lo Marzia. The first week I was fine. I am now ending week 2 and am bloated, nauseous, and have cramps. I NEVER have gotten cramps since I’ve had my period at age 12 (now 25) and I’m not even near my period. I am trying to have a positive outlook but I already am worried about this pill"

For Birth Control "This is one of the worst birth control pills on the market. I had increased anxiety so bad I did not sleep for 3-4 days. I felt bloated all of the time and gained weight even though my eating and working out patterns did not change. I had bad breakouts which never usually happen to me. It also messed with my contacts and vision. One of the worst experiences I've had on the pill, please do not take this."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Tri-Lo-Marzial after having pretty bad side effects from other birth control pills. Immediately I noticed I was cramping, ALWAYS bloated, and crazy indigestion. I was hoping if I stuck with it, my body would adjust. I stayed on this 6 months before I had to stop. It's been almost 2 months since I stopped taking them, and I'm still dealing with indigestion and bloating."

For Endometriosis "I’ve been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for about 4 months now. I’ve tried almost every type and brand of BC and had negative results with all but this is my favorite so far. My period is much milder. I’ve never gotten any type of period relief from a contraceptive and this one helps a good bit. I will definitely stay on it."

For Acne "I've been taking Tri-lo-marzia for my hormonal acne since October 2, 2017, and this completely cleared my skin crystal clear. However, the next year I ended up having swelling in my throat, lips, hands, feet, and experienced nausea and vomiting every 3 weeks. From August-October 2018 I've been in and out of the hospital paying $300 medical bills because of the swelling. Hospital bills started adding up and I was tired of having to pay $900 hospital bills. I completely stop taking the medication October 6, 2018 because these pills aren't worth putting me in an early grave. Unfortunately, my face is back to spotting up very badly. However, it made me come to the realization that I should just stick to taking care of my skin the PROPER way instead of worrying about vanity, because vanity will end up risking your life drastically. Last but not least, to have self-love for who I am regardless if I have a "pepperoni" spotted face. I give this medicine a 10 for clearing my face."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS! I took this BC for a year, I was depressed off and on randomly and had heart palpations every night and randomly during the day. I never suffered from heart palpations, I went to a heart specialist and they couldn't figure out what was causing them since my heart was perfectly fine. I stopped taking this pill after researching the side effects and reading the reviews. After a month of coming off of it , I slowly started feeling like myself again, its been 6 months off and I haven't had any heart palpations in 6 months or any depression or sleep issues. Please be careful on this pill, I wouldn't take it, it's dangerous."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control in 2019, my very first experience. I would definitely recommend! It's helped with my acne and is also very dependable when it comes to avoiding pregnancy. It comes with a little pocket-packet and stickers to track when you take it. There was one month when I lost insurance and had to pay out of pocket, but it was only between $25 and $40. And another plus? If you happen to miss one by accident, you simply take it the next morning, then continue as you would before. I am still actively taking this medication and plan to do so in the future."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve always had heavy periods that contributed to iron deficiency anemia and lack of energy. Finally decided to let my doctor know that I wanted to be put on a birth control pill (at 30 no less, wish I had done this in my teens) and this Tri-Lo-Marzia is what she put me on. I’ve been on it for over 6 months and my periods are lighter and shorter. Overall, my quality of life has improved. I still get cramps for maybe two days but those have never been terrible anyway. My level of (mild) acne has probably stayed about the same. I do think I gained a small amount of weight, especially in my breasts. I don’t think this has been super noticeable to anyone though, just to me. I think maybe my moods have improved a bit especially since I’m not bleeding as much anymore and those were always awful times. Otherwise, my moods are about the same. I plan on staying on this pill for a long time."

For Acne "I was put on this for acne and my headaches and moods have been extremely awful; I have broken down so many times and the back of my head is in serious pain. When I take pain killers to help with the headaches I feel pretty fine, but man this pill is seriously getting to me and I’m gonna fight through and see how long all these symptoms will last."

For Birth Control "I was on this for about two years and it did help my acne but on the downside it made me very emotional. Not anything too extreme though, this birth control is fine for anyone who will take it responsibly, because I didn’t and it resulted in a month long period for me. But I also have several health problems including mental so honestly it wasn’t that bad (in comparison to other things I’ve taken.) if your prescribed this, take it. You’ll figure out if you like it or not. I did lose 14 pounds taking this though."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The first birth control I ever tried was Loestrin fe. It made me extremely nauseous and gave me terrible headaches. I’m now on Tri Lo Marzia due to my period coming every 2 weeks. So far so good. I’m on my second week and my period has not started. I take it every AM with food and I feel perfectly fine. The only difference I’ve noticed is that my anxiety has increased."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for almost 2 years. I have been suffering from anxiety and heart palpations, depression and sleep issues during this time of taking this birth control. I thought it was due to stress but now after reading these reviews and seeing that my symptoms are the same I believe that my anxiety and heart palpations are coming from this birth control. I will be getting off to see if I start feeling more normal again."

For Birth Control "Honestly reading these reviews, I haven’t had the same experience. This is my first birth control and so far it’s been okay. I had some serious emotional issues in the beginning of taking it. My mood swings were crazy, and I would cry and complain a lot. But then after that everything has been fine, and my sex drive has been a little low but it’s still there. (My boyfriend helps me with that lol) but honestly for a first time birth control I think this birth control isn’t so bad. It has even cleared my cystic acne, which was severe."

For Birth Control "RUN RUN RUN......I know that everybody's bodies are different.. I used to be happy before I took this birth control, and this wasn't my first either. This birth control had made me feel insecure, I overthink, I'm just depressed or angry. I actually feel like I'm going crazy while on it. I have gained 5 pounds in just 2 weeks that I have been on it, and I haven't done anything to change my habits other than my birth control. So far I've been taking this for about a month now, and I know the doctor says you should take 3 months to get used to it, but I'm not going to sit here and do nothing while I am miserable. I have control over my own body. I'm currently contacting my doctor and switching back over to my old birth control, Sprintec because I'd rather deal with painful cramps, then suicidal tendencies."

For Birth Control "I would rate this a 0. The best possible description to how it’ll make you feel, which is scattered around a bunch of reviews, is “like you’ve gone crazy.” I’ve never felt worse than I have while taking this BC. I feel like it ruined my entire life. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and this BC has AMPLIFIED both. I have panic attacks, manic spells, depressive episodes, and every single day, without fail, I contemplate suicide. I’ve never been this bad in my entire life. I also have indigestion, which combined with IBS is a killer. It kills your sex drive, makes you irritated, and BLOATS YOU, oh my GOD. 0/10 do not even prescribe to your worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I have struggled with my weight for so long, when my dr. Accidentally sent In the wrong dose birth control I still took it. Lost 6 lbs that month but got terrible acne and bleed for ever. They put me back on a high dose birth control and I gained it all back. So we came to the realization that it’s my birth control, so we tried this brand and it’s been a week and I’m down the 6 lbs again. Not sure why I hold weight on high dose pills but this birth control is working so far! A little nausea but I can handle that. I like it this far!"
