For Birth Control "I was taking Tri-Nessa Lo, and when I went back to the OBGYN for a checkup and refill, I was re-prescribed this 'generic' version (unknowingly). I started taking Tri-Lo-Marzia about 2 weeks ago. And... I. HATE. IT. I don't even ever write reviews about anything, but this felt justified. Drove my anxiety up a wall. Crying for no reason. Depressed. Irritable and mad about stupid things. Doubting everything in my life. I cannot wait to switch over to my old birth control. This one just did not work for me at all."

For Acne "After my pharmacy switched me to this pill (insurance drama) after having my cystic acne totally under control on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, I’m now a pimpled mess. I thought I had a food allergy or was stressed from switching jobs, and then it hit me. I’ve been using the Tri-Lo-Marzia for two months now, as I wake up EVERY day with a new cyst on my chin. They’re going in the garbage."

For Birth Control "I have tried different brands for birth control and seriously suffered from so much anxiety and depression because they just didn’t react well with my body. I was on the verge of suicide with a pill and eventually went to my doctor to switch again before I let it get too far. I asked for the lowest dose possible with a different pill and was prescribed Tri-Lo Marzia. I haven’t had ANY issues whatsoever. Everyone is different, and I know that other women haven’t reacted well with this pill, but it works for me. I’ve never been happier. I recommended trying pills until you find the one. I was extremely discouraged for a while because of how severe my depression had gotten, but I finally found the pill that works."

For Acne "I originally started taking this birth control pill to help with my hormonal acne. Three weeks in, and I feel insane. I am incredibly depressed, having feelings of worthlessness and in such a dark place in my mind. I feel like I don’t know who I am, and I can’t control my thoughts. I cannot go a day without crying. I feel insane. Please, if you are feeling this way, know that you are not alone. I have stopped taking it, and I am hoping to get it out of my system soon. Can't the pharmaceutical industry make a pill that doesn't make so many women feel like rubbish and make them feel so depressed and anxious."

For Birth Control "I've been on a whole lot of pills. Yaz, Beyaz, Loloestrin, Gianvi, Blisovi, and more. This particular pill (Tri-Lo-Marzia) seems to not make my mood shift as easily as other pills that made me much more emotional and would cause me to cry much more. It has made me gain a couple of pounds, but I don't personally think that's a deal breaker. Although my appetite on this pill is crazy, it changes drastically every week. Some weeks I'm always hungry, others I barely want to eat a full meal. My acne is under control, my moods are under control. The only real negative is I notice myself getting dizzy when I'm under stress, which never happened to me before. Overall, considering all of this, 8/10. Other pills have caused me allergic reactions, this one has yet to do that, so it's a win."

For Birth Control "Would never recommend this to anyone. I got constant migraines as soon as I started taking this medication. From the moment I would wake up until I went to bed, I would have this constant, horrible headache. Not to mention, I was on this for hormonal acne, and my skin has NEVER been as bad as it has been while taking this. It is so bad that I'm embarrassed to leave my house. I gained 5 pounds the first month I was on this medicine because suddenly I have the appetite of a teenage boy going through puberty now!!! I have nothing good to say about this birth control and HIGHLY suggest you be cautious while on it. I am only writing this review to warn people."

For Birth Control "I feel like most of these reviews are negative because mostly, the people who review medications online have had a negative experience. I'm on here to say that Tri-Lo-Marzia has worked well for me. It did take 3 months to 'stabilize' in the sense that I've had 2 months of daily spotting. After those 2 months, though, my body got used to the dose and, actually, my skin improved. Moodiness near period happens, I find myself near crying 3 days before my placebo pills, but overall not a terrible shift in mood."

For Acne "I started taking this birth control to clear up my acne because topical face washes and medicines weren’t working well. Tri-Lo-Marzia pretty much cleared my skin, I still get small spots here and there and usually right after my period, but it only lasts a day or two. My periods are right on time, and the bleeding is minimal, and I never get cramps. Though I didn’t really get cramps before either, so I’m not sure that’s the birth control. I feel like I retain weight, I gain a bit more, but I’m small, so I don’t gain weight that much anyway. Sometimes I get weird cravings, and it’s harder to get wet before sex, but that’s not so bad. Overall, this has worked really well for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on tri-phasic pills for 10 years-Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (the best birth control EVER, but had to switch because insurance stopped covering it) and Tri-Lo-Marzia. I've been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for 5 years, and I'm now switching to Slynd because I had a migraine with an aura last spring, so I'm contraindicated for pills with estrogen. It worked okay until about 2 years ago when I started becoming more moody, had random breakthrough bleeding, which never happened prior, and my PMDD symptoms became worse."

For Acne "In July 2018, I got a really bad breakout that lasted forever. My first birth control (BC) because I was so embarrassed. I never saw reviews over this BC, so I tried it anyway. Being on this BC, my acne got a little better but never fully cleared my skin. It was still embarrassing to go out without covering it with makeup. I still broke out everywhere and had cystic acne on my jawline. I got big knots on my face and it would take days to weeks to get rid of. I was very moody and would change so fast. I was overly sensitive about everything. Cried more than usual and got mad pretty easily. Usually, a pretty chill person didn't let my emotions take over a situation, but on this medication, I did. I was always depressed and had horrible anxiety. I wanted to sleep every day. I've been on this for 1 year and 2 months, and I stayed on it because I thought it would eventually work. I finally decided to stop and I've been off for a week, and my skin has already cleared up tremendously. Do not recommend for clearing acne."

For Acne "I'm on my first pack of Tri-Lo-Marzia. I just finished the 3 active weeks. I was switching from Ortho-Tri-Cyclen-Lo, and my concerns were: * weight gain * acne * loss of sex drive * shift in mood. My skin was probably my biggest worry, but it's possible my skin looks better than it did with Ortho-Tri-Cyclen-Lo. I have not gained any weight. Really not feeling any different re: appetite/ water retention/ cravings. Sex drive - I did not need to worry about a decrease here. This may be the biggest issue - I always thought I already had a high sex drive, but omg, this pill is making me a little too feisty. Wondering if my hormones are adjusting. Mood... the first few days I was a little road ragey, but it's possible I may have been anyway, but I felt a little different/ more unstable. That seems to have passed. Overall, still feeling like my happy, sometimes anxiety-filled self, but just a hyper-sexual version of myself."

For Birth Control "The worst! New gyno suggested after I specifically requested Ortho Tri-Cyclen L. On this, I gained 29 lbs in 3 months. I work out 5 days a week and can’t lose 5 lbs. I’ve been depressed, moody, bloated, severe headaches, having anxiety, and either eating everything in sight or not eating at all. And absolutely no sex drive. I do not recommend this product to anyone. It also caused my lymph nodes to swell up. Please be extra careful when trying these pills. I just threw out my pills in the trash..."

For Birth Control "I was on the Tri-Lo-Marzia generic pill for three months after Ortho-Tricyclen Lo brand was discontinued. The first month was as expected with a new hormonal birth control. I had headaches, stomach pains, and nausea. I figured I'd give my body a couple more months to adjust. In the second month, I became depressed and lost all control of my emotions. I cried multiple times daily, often when in public and without any trigger. I cried getting out of bed every morning. I have never struggled with emotional issues before this. It got to the point where I was seriously depressed. I am two days off of this pill and already feel 10x better. I didn't give this a one-star rating only because it did make me have nice skin and I didn't get pregnant. However, in hindsight, if I had to do it again, I may rather have gotten pregnant."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Lo-Nessa for a year before it was discontinued. I relied heavily on it since it kept my acne under control incredibly well. I had to switch to something else and tried Tri-Lo-Marzia. It has almost the same exact effects: controls severe cramping, reduces breast tenderness, keeps me from spotting. The one thing about this medication that has broken my heart is that my skin has reacted so poorly to it. I'm breaking out like crazy on my face and chest. It's like it never ends. I want to give this medication a chance, but it's ruining my self-esteem. I miss you, Tri-Lo-Nessa."

For Acne "I switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia from my previous pill because my acne was getting worse, and this one was supposed to clear it. However, I am 3 months in now, and my acne is worse than it's ever been in my entire life. I had never gotten cystic acne, and now I have new cysts every few days that never go away. There are also a ton of pigmented pimples that are so hard to cover up. I am trying one more month to see if it will improve, but from reading the other reviews, it seems like there's no hope. Not sure how this pill was FDA approved to treat acne."

For Acne "I've always had irregular periods, which has caused me to have severe acne due to imbalanced hormones. This birth control cleared my skin up, but let me tell you, everything else with this birth control has been terrible. I used to be 105 lb and always a pretty small person, considering I'm only 5'2", and I started this birth control by September or maybe even October of 2017, and by November I was already at 115 lb, which honestly looked good on me until it wouldn't stop! By January I was about 127 lb, and now it is July, and I'm currently 134 lb. The weight gain this medicine has made me gain is ridiculous! This medicine also made me have so many mood swings, and I'd say my periods are worse. I have bloating even when I'm not near my period, and my face always feels swollen. This medicine has made my self-esteem very low with the weight gain I've experienced, and I've had frequent mood changes. I'm fed up with this birth control and have an appointment to switch over ASAP."

For Birth Control "Don't get this pill. I am legitimately depressed from it now after taking it for 7+ months. I feel so dissociated from myself because of it and psychologically don't feel well. If you've ever had bad anxiety or depression to begin with, this pill is not for you."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Tri-Lo-Sprintec and got off of it after a few months due to it making me feel depressed, emotional, and as well had a low sex drive. I was put on the pill due to cramps and previous ovarian fibroids/cysts. I now switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia, and even though they have the same ingredients, same strength, I just wanted to try a different brand. I noticed when I started I was getting horrible stomach cramps. I do feel more bloated now and put on a couple of pounds. But other than the on-and-off stomach pains, the pill has worked well. No breakthrough bleeding, sex drive is good, no pregnancy scares, period is on time, and my mood is okay. Overall, not bad. Been on it for 3 months now."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Lo-Marzia for less than two months, and it messed up my life more than I can explain. I have no clue if it’s this specific brand or birth control in general, but I don’t think I’ll ever try it again. I stopped taking it in the middle of my pack last night because I had become just so down due to a psychotic break, even though before this pill I was the happiest person I knew. Please be cautious if you decide you want to start birth control."

For Acne "I was on another birth control pill, but my skin was breaking out real crazy. My ob-gyn prescribed this pill to me to address my acne. I used to have clear skin, but I seem to break out on my jawline, but the left side of my face only, which I find odd. Now it’s crawling down to my neck. It is unsightly, but I’ve just been on it for the 2nd week, so I still have yet to see how it takes effect on my face. I’ll give it 3 packs. My acne weren’t cystic like before, but still, they multiply. As to the mood swings, I have to say I have been feeling low with this pill, like bordering on depression and severe anxiety. I hope this will eventually go away. I hate my acne right now."

For Birth Control "This pill has been my favorite birth control. It has completely cleared my hormonal acne. I have been on this pill for 2 years and counting. Although I do get extremely tired some days, it is still worth it in my opinion. Also, I do not get depression or anxiety like other pills. Give it a year, if able!"

For Endometriosis "Was on this Tri-Lo-Marzia BC for 4 months for chronic pelvic pain/endo. Helped a little with pain, but I had awful, awful mental side effects. I actually started to hate my boyfriend, became extremely paranoid and anxious, and woke up in such a bad mental fog every morning. I was spacey and couldn’t focus. Had feelings of such hate, anger, and fatigue throughout the day. Went on .35 progestin and wow. Such a difference. Wake up feeling calm, relaxed, and loving again. Still a little tired here and there, but no anxiety. I have felt so relaxed on this BC."

However, about three months ago, I began experiencing horrible headaches during my period. My blood pressure had gone up, and I switched to Lo Loestrin. The headaches are now gone."

For Birth Control "Pros: Cramps that don't make me want to die, bleeding is okay, period lasts about 5 days but no heavy, heavy days like before. Cons: My breasts swelled, but get smaller if I work out. If that bothers you, then this birth control just isn't for you in my opinion. I did gain weight, not a whole lot but enough, and losing it is killer. I can get down about 5 pounds before I plateau with lots of exercise and a good diet. Once I stop exercising for a week, it climbs back up but never goes over my max. So that's nice. Before my period, I'm kind of moody, but I know how to regulate myself and make myself feel better. I do feel tired often and have trouble concentrating sometimes, but I can control it. The worst is my sex drive. I don't get wet hardly ever before sex, even with foreplay. Honestly, I'm not pregnant, I'm not severely overweight, and I'm not suicidal. Good for me."
