For Birth Control "This was the best thing that's ever happened to me. I had a good experience with Sprintec with no symptoms at all, other than some bad breaking out during the first two months. My skin dramatically cleared up after the third month, only giving me a pimple or two during my period."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on a 3-month trial period for this brand and absolutely HATED it. I couldn't wait to be done with it. The only thing I can say positively is it did regulate my periods, and they were lighter. From week one of my first pack, I noticed severe cystic acne. I'll have an occasional flare-up on my chin here and there, normally. But I started getting them EVERYWHERE on my face, and they never ceased as the months went on. Also, I had severe mood swings and depression, and it was putting a strain on my relationship with my fiancé."

For Birth Control "So I have been on this since I had my son back in March, so that's 10 months. I have had acne so bad I have been wearing excessive amounts of makeup when I go out, which does no good at all. Trying to heal is crazy because every time I get rid of it, more come up! I have tried to wait it out and see if it would get better, but unfortunately it hasn’t. I have been bloated and feeling funny for about two weeks. My appetite is not really there, and I just feel off on it. Hopefully I’m not pregnant because I have been so good about taking this pill every day, and I’m terrible about taking medicine and remembering."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for a month now. The first week was fine, but starting the second week, I got my period, and it still has not gone away. I have been on my period now for 20 days, it is miserable. Alongside this, I have been bloated, cramping, my skin has broken out, and my moods have been horrible. This pill was not the right choice for me, it has poorly affected my quality of life. I recommend sharing a concern like this with your doctor, as I never expected to have such a problem."

For Birth Control "My doctor prescribed Sprintec to me because of cramps (like the type that make you throw up, wake you up in the middle of the night, etc.). In terms of keeping my period away, Sprintec worked great! When I first started taking it, I kind of lost my appetite, and my acne disappeared. However, before I started taking birth control, I had no mental health problems, the only time I felt sad was due to a bad grade or drama with friends. These days, I have severe depression and have felt suicidal! If you have any sort of depression, no matter how severe, or if mental illness runs in your family, I do not recommend this product! It will only make your life miserable."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. First was the anger. I got into terrible arguments with my partner over nothing and nearly messed up our relationship. Then came the anxiety. Panic attacks and constant physical discomfort. Then came the cystic acne. Now that I'm off, the anxiety is taking a long time to go away. Cysts have flattened. But looking back with my new mental clarity, I realize how I was not seeing situations how they were - hence the rage and panic. I truly feel robbed of the past 6 months. Fortunately, I didn't get pregnant."

For Birth Control "This pill is awful. I have been on it for 2 weeks, and I have been cramping horribly every single day. I've been so bloated, so tired, so moody, my anxiety is through the roof. I've been breaking out like no other. I called my doctor to switch me back to my old pill, but they said I have to finish this pack. Never taking it again!!!"

For Birth Control "So far, I've been on three different kinds of birth control this month. I switched to Sprintec about 4 months ago because it was cheap. My skin started breaking out, my periods were heavy, and my emotions were out of control. I cry all the time and fight with my boyfriend."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for a month and a half now. I started the first day of my period and had my period for an entire month. After it finally ended, I have noticed major mood swings and lots of anxiety. My breasts seem really swollen, and my appetite has increased greatly. I have gained at least 6 or 7 pounds in the last month and a half, and I hate it. My acne has still not improved either. My doctor keeps telling me to wait another month at least, but I do not want to gain any more weight, and I don't like the way I have been feeling."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medicine for about 3 years. I haven't experienced anything unusual... I initially started taking it for irregular periods (I'd only get 11 days between each, which sucked) and to maybe clear up my acne. It definitely got me regular, although it didn't help much with acne. It didn't make it worse or change the current condition. It has worked 100% of the time for me, even with not being perfect while taking it. It's a great contraceptive if you're good at remembering to take it every day... (which I'm not sometimes), so I'm currently in the transition of trying out the NuvaRing. It has one different hormonal ingredient than Sprintec, but I'm not too concerned the side effects will be any different (if any at all)."

For Birth Control "This is the first form of birth control my doctor prescribed to me, and I wish I had just stayed away. I started birth control due to having abnormal periods (heavy flow, inconsistent periods, severe cramps) and to prevent pregnancy. I had no major problems in the first month, just minor cramps here and there. But then around week 3, I was so tired all the time. I saw consistent breakouts on my face (at least 10 zits a week), and I was EXTREMELY emotional. I figured all of this would go away after my first period on the pill, but all the side effects got worse. Even my boyfriend took note of the changes and could tell I was not the same as before. After 2 months, I am finally switching pills and could not be more excited."

For Birth Control "Just started taking these pills a few weeks ago. Am on the placebo pills part of the pack now. Period has not started yet. Side effects I've been experiencing: fatigue, nausea (non-stop), slight cramping, acne breakouts (which I've never had an issue with before), fuller breasts, very sore/tender breasts, and my period has yet to start. However, I did have unprotected sex within the first 7 days of starting the pill. So, my symptoms could be signs of early pregnancy or adverse side effects of the pill. Will update in a few days."

For Birth Control "I started this about a month ago. I've gained about 5 lbs, I've been getting acne in places I've never gotten acne before. I get really bad migraines. Lost my sex drive, depression has increased. Overall, don't take it. Get the shot."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sprintec for a couple of months, and from the first week I started, I had horrible acne breakouts. My periods are longer than they've ever been, even while off birth control, and while my cramps aren't as severe during that time, I have cramps all the time, it seems. At least 3 weeks out of the month. I have horrible headaches and feel like I might pass out, although I can't say for certain these are from taking Sprintec. The worst side effect of all is my mood swings. It's sad and scary when, out of the whole month, the time that I'm the calmest is during PMS and my period. I snap and get upset with friends, family, and co-workers over things that have never bothered me before. I never had any side effects with my last birth control."

For Birth Control "Started this after my abortion. I have a year of birth control pills from the clinic, so why not, right? Well, I've been on it for almost 6 months, and I've gained 11 pounds. My blood pressure is higher, I spotted for like 2 months when I started the pill, my lower back constantly hurts, and I have headaches more often and have to pee more often. I'm not sure if these are all directly related to the birth control, but I definitely think weight gain is due to my crazy appetite! I also am getting pimples now, and I never really had that issue since I'm 36 years old."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got put on Sprintec a month ago. My 4th week taking it (period week) is THE WORST. I’m having every symptom of pregnancy (I know I’m not pregnant), my breasts are so sore it hurts to put a shirt on and wash them in the shower. I’m nauseous and vomiting. Smelling any food makes me want to vomit. Although my appetite has decreased, I have gained 7 pounds in one month. I’m very bloated. The only decent thing about this pill is that it has increased my sex drive immensely. But all the other negative symptoms greatly outweigh the one good one. It’s made my period a lot heavier than usual as well. And my face has never had so much acne on it. Very upsetting."

For Birth Control "I began taking Mononessa about a year ago. At first, I had some minor side effects like acne, and I did gain 10 pounds. I also have mood swings here and there, but my pharmacy just recently switched me to Sprintec instead and claimed it’s the exact same ingredients. But let me tell you, I have never felt this bad in my life. I had severe stomach pain, to the point where I couldn’t eat for 5 days. Very constipated, and nothing I do helps. I was so nauseous daily that I just stayed in bed for a week straight until finally going to the emergency room because I thought it was something more serious. I have had issues with slight depression in the past, but this whole week I was taking Sprintec, I have been incredibly down and have had awful panic attacks. I may have lost about 6 pounds, but it’s definitely not worth it to suffer from birth control. I immediately switched back to my old one and have had a little more of an appetite, but I’m sure my hormones are just all over the place right now."

For Birth Control "When I was 17, my mother took me to the gynecologist to get me on a basic birth control plan before I left for college. Now I'm 24 and still using Sprintec. Through various insurance plans and pharmacies, I've switched between Sprintec and Previfem over the years, both of which affected me the same way. Since I've been on the pill so long, it's hard for me to say which side effects are present, but throughout my use, I haven't experienced any weight gain or breakouts or pain that couldn't be attributed to my other health conditions. Periods have become lighter and lighter every year. Very regular and predictable. Flow is so light I solely use liners during my period."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 3 years, and I absolutely love it. I have no issues with it. I haven’t gained weight, I don’t get acne, no nausea, no heavy flow. I have a very light flow, and it lasts 4 days out of the week (I’m not sure if that’s because of the BC or if that’s just my body). And most importantly, I don’t get pregnant, and birth control and the pull-out method are the only things we’re using to prevent it."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for about 6 months, and at first, it was not the best. I had a lot of mood swings, and my face was breaking out. 6 months later, and my face is always clear, and I have no problems. I can skip my period when I want, and I really enjoy this BC."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for about a year now. While I did experience some weight gain, everything else has been great. I used to get frequent, painful hormonal acne. Now, getting even one pimple is a rare occasion. I also used to have cramps that kept me home from school and then work because I could hardly get up. Now my periods are short and easy. I can also skip placebo weeks with no spotting. Although many of the reviews for Sprintec are poor, this pill was a game changer for me."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sprintec for 4 months. I am also hypothyroid and on Synthroid. I was on Nuvaring and getting pregnant. Only good thing about Sprintec is it prevents pregnancy. The bad symptoms include horrible cramping, mood swings, loss of appetite due to nausea, nightmares, and acne. I have heavy bleeding. I am in my 40s. I have my ups and downs, but never like a few nights ago. I started by picking fights with my husband for no reason. I also imagined that someone was watching me when I was alone one night. I had to call my best friend to come over and calm me down because my husband was out of state on business. She is an OB/GYN nurse and said maybe it was the birth control and to call my doctor. I was afraid for our daughter, not like I’d hurt her, but myself. She was asleep in her room. Just horrible. I will never take this ever again. I will see my doctor in a week and may tell her no to birth control, given my age and thyroid issues, and go back to condoms."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec since I was 14 (now 19), and I love it. I used to have moderate-heavy bleeding for at least a week before I started taking it, and now my periods are light-moderate for 3 or 4, sometimes 5 days. I normally get one pimple around the time of my cycle, and that's it, although I never had much of a skin problem before starting the pill either. I'm extremely sensitive to emotional side effects of medicines, I've even had changes from asthma medicine in the past, but I didn't notice much noteworthy from taking this pill. No weight gain, no pregnancy scares, and reduced cramping. It's perfect."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this a week and a half, and I’m breaking out so bad. This is the worst it’s ever been, and I’ve been terribly depressed. That could be because my face hurts, and I look awful right now. I had a full-on anxiety attack tonight, and I almost threw up. I feel bad for my boyfriend, putting up with these mood swings (bless his heart). I’ve decided to stick with it through this month, but if it doesn’t get better, I’m done. I’m so sad about my face... I didn’t have scarring before, but I can already tell this is going to leave noticeable marks. I get the feeling this isn’t going to work."

"I have been on this birth control, Sprintec, for at least 12 years. Never had an issue. Didn’t gain weight. Only thing is when I went to stop taking this, my back broke out with the worst acne ever! I didn’t even have this issue prior to starting it. Cannot believe how bad it was. Went back on it just because of that."
